HT4993 My IPhone 5C screen became unresponsive

My IPhone 5C screen became unresponsive as I was using it. It has never been dropped or damaged, I've tried reseting it, no luck. It has these faint blue and red lines I can see on the screen when it powers on. Please Help! Thanks in advanced

  • My screen became unresponsive to scrolling while i was using google.

While i was trying to download some software from one of the poker sites, the scrolling feature became unresponsive and the screen sort of went dim.  Any thoughts, i've only had the ipad for about a week?

Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • My iphone 5 screen becomes unresponsive and freezes constantly

Whenever I try to type on my keyboard to send a text, or even when I'm on the home screen trying to swipe across my phone will just randomly freeze and will not let me touch the screen to do anything. It does this multiple times EVERYDAY AND DRIVES ME ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!!
    ios 7.1.1, iphone 5 16 gb

    Try this:
Quit all apps: Double tap the Home button and swipe the app preview page up for each open app
    then
Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)

  • My iPhone's screen is unresponsive when emailing a photo from the camera roll

Hello all, first time here, and I have an odd issue with my iPhone 5, running iOS 6.1.4
If I go to my camera roll and select a photo, then go and select "mail" from the options, it brings up the typical email message(I use gmail)
but if I go to tap the address section, it takes 5-6 taps to get the phone to bring up the keyboard to enter an address. The weirdest part is,
if I go into my email and start a message normally, it only takes the 1 tap to get the phone to bring up the keyboard for the address. I have
tried to reproduce this in other apps, and it appears to only happen when I email a photo from the camera roll.
Any ideas? Maybe a backup/restore? Thanks in advance.

Restored as new, did not restore from a backup. Set up my gmail account, took a test photo and tried to email it, and problem persists. Guess it must be a hardware thing, just so weird it only happens in the camera roll and not in regular email.
Thanks for the advice and help everyone!

  • After dropping my IPod touch gen 5 down the stairs accidentally the touch screen became unresponsive. please help me fix it without costing too much.

I want an inexpensive way to fix my iPod as I cannot afford another one. please help me..

If you are good with electronics, as in taking things apart and putting them back together, I would buy a used touch screen off of eBay or a trustworthy site, then take the front off of the iTouch, replace the screen and put the front back on. If you are not good with electronics, I would either take it to a repair shop or send me an email with video/ image of the damage at [email protected]

  • Iphone 3gs screen becomes unresponsive.

The home and power buttons work. I have to cycle the screen on and off with the power button (not turning the phone all the way off) to get the screen to respond to touch. This happens randomly thoughout the use of the phone. Should I take it into a store (100% positive it will happen during a demonstration of it to them)?
    Thanks.

I've tried reseting it. I've had it for over a year, so I know that it's out of warranty; so I don't want to pay to have it repaired when I can get a 4 from AT&T through my upgrade for $99.
Any thoughts on if Apple will exchange for another 3gs due to it being a hardware issue?

  • IPhone 5 screen became pinkish (warm white), except corners

Hello, everyone. Today I noticed that my phone's screen doesn't display the same color evenly. It's very difficult and nearly impossible to notice. Best way to see it is on white background. Normal screen's performance (let's call it white balance) is accurate only at all for borders. As it screen has an inner rectangular with warmer (pinkish) color. See it for yourselves (press on photo to see in full resolution and top quality):

I'm gonna talk to Apple Care and will update this post in a few days. If anyone has or had the same issue, please share your experience. Thank you.
P.S. My phone hasn't been dropped or damaged in any case that could have affected this issue.

I have the exact same problem. Is there any solution for this?
Is it a defect or something?

  • IPhone 6 plus screen becomes unresponsive!!!

I bought my IPhone 6 plus when released. I received it by mail on October 17. now the phone was perfect,it worked the way it should and the screen was perfect also. The only problem i had with it was that whenever i would close an app through the multitask menu my screen would flash blue but i would disregard it. 2 months go by and everything is perfect. it wasn't until late December when i began to have an issue with the phone. My screen would become unresponsive to touch and when it did respond it will be completely way off from where i touched it. i will also get this gray bar at the top of my screen when it happens. this happens almost all the time throughout the day. its getting to the point to where my phone is almost unusable. I haven't dropped my phone and it hasn't came into contact with water either. I have done a factory reset and set my phone up as new and it didn't work either. I just want to know if i am the only one having this issue or are there other people with this problem.

I have an Iphone6 bought in October and after iOS 8.1.3 the screen became unresponsive. I did the hard reset and itunes reset doesn’t work. It starts ok everything fine in minutes working the screen freeze. All other things works fine, music still playing, gps still guiden me, the phone rings ( But i can't take the call as the screen do not accept my command ). I don’t know what to do.

  • IPhone 6+ Screen Unresponsive

iPhone 6+ screen goes unresponsive within apps. Turning the app off and on again doesn't always solve it. I have had to restart the phone completely at times to get the screen to respond. '
    Help please!

So I have the same problem. 128GB 6+ here in the UK
Called up apple support and they are sending me a replacement. Hopefully it solves it. When I bought the phone I did not restore from backup. Started from scratch.
Also they tried to charge me 30GBP for an express replacement service which I managed to talk them out of so its worn bargaining with them and not paying any stupid fees.

  • Iphone LCD screen dead spot

Hey I have an iphone that I got from a friend as a gift never activated it but it seem as though it has dead spots how do I replace the LCD screen and will apple take it back. I don't know, I had it for a while without even looking at because to be honest I liked my blackberry. So how do I go about getting this fix; do I have to pay extra to get this fix or is it unfixable. I don't have a reciept and my friend didn't keep it. So should I bother with this phone because I'm not going to activate or bother signing up for a plan if this thing isn't going to work.

I've had my iPhone since August with no problems. I love it. Just this morning the very bottom part of the touch screen became unresponsive. The rest of the screen is fine. It's like the sensor in just that part of the screen has gone dead for some reason. Of course this also happens to be the part of the screen where you "slide" to answer a call, and also access the phone, mail, safari, and iPod icons. Also the "slide" to unlock the phone is located in this area. Basically this malfunction has rendered my iPhone unusable. I have turned it off and on, and also reset and restored it through iTunes. None of that works. It appears to be a hardware issue and not software. I wonder if this is a problem that will occur widespread in iPhones after several months use, or if my problem is somewhat isolated?
I'm frustrated as EVERYTHING is on my iPhone. I have an appointment tomorrow at the Genius Bar to have it checked out. Thank goodness I'm near an Apple store or I would be even more frustrated. I also have everything updated and saved on iTunes so it will be easy to personlize my iPhone again once the problem is fixed.

  • Iphone lcd screen

Hi all, i just recently traded in my BROKEN iphone to apple and they gave me a new one. I synced it up fine at started to play around with it just to make sure it worked. I noticed that the color black is not showing up correctly in ipod mode. When you look at it head on it seems distorted. Then if you tilt the iphone alot it appears to be normal. Is this a issue with the screen? Help!!!

  • IPhone 6 screen unresponsive and flickering

My iPhone 6 screen all of a sudden became completely unresponsive. It no longer responds to any kinds of touch inputs. Furthermore, when on, the screen is constantly flickering with grids. I tried restarting, to no avail. as well as putting it in DFU Mode, resetting it, and restoring from backup-- nothing solves the problem. Is the only way to fix this to take it to the Apple store?

In the last couple of weeks (and nothing has changed) - I noticed that my iPhone 6 will remain in landscape mode if I lift it up too quickly.  It's not frozen - but it's not detecting that it is upright.  The workaround seems to be lower the phone to a horizontal position and then lift it again - slowly - and that seems to restore the portrait mode.  I could understand if this started happening immediately after an update - but it did not - it started about 2 weeks ago.  Typically the app that I use in landscape mode (the most) is youtube.  I'm wondering if it is something with the YouTube app - but I don't recall any recent updates for it either.

Reset, hold at same time Home and Power buttons until the iPhone restarts itself. If you have a screen protector on, consider removing it.
