HT4993 My iphone won't turn on and when I try to charge it, it still won't turn on what should I do?
My iphone automatically turned off and so I went to charge it but it's not turning on nor is it working anyway possible. What should I do?

I dropped my iphone 5 in the water, its dead and when I try to charge it the apple logo comes and goes, thats my only sign of life, I've done many after market repairs but what I want to know is if I should replace the ligntning port or the battery... or just buy a galaxy s5?
If you dropped it in water, and then plugged it in, you may very well have destroyed the battery and/or the logic board. Charging/plugging in to a power source is very damaging to wet electronic devices. There is not much you can do but replace the entire iPhone...and since you did repairs yourself Apple will not do an out-of-warranty replacement.
You can try replacing the battery, the lightning port is another issue, but I would not expect that iPhone to work again. -
I have installed the beta version of 6.1 a month ago and now i cannot open my iphone 5 it needs regestration and when i try to register it says that it couldnt complete and i need to register in the developer what can i do now to reopen my device?
Probably wasn't a good idea to install beta software on a device when you're not a developer.
Apple clearly states that beta software is not to be installed on production devices.
Not really much you can do except wait for iOS 6.1 to be officially released and then install it. -
my iphone is in recovery mode and when i try to restore it, its doesn't go all the way threw this happen right after i try to upgrade my phone. what do i do HELP ME!!!
Hi, are you doing it through Settings or via iTunes? If doing it through Settings, try plugging it in via USB and updating with iTunes. Hope this helps.

Hi few days ago I bought a second hand iphone 5 white 64 gb, and when I try to activate it I see the following message: "This iPhone can not be activated for service.please contact your carrier or AppleCare"
So then do what it says...contact Apple or your wireless carrier.
However your phone is probably locked to another carrier and cannot be used on yours. -
Have downloaded iOS6 and it has been ok until today. When I went to Safari this morning none of my bookmarks are showing and when I try to add them again it won't saved them. Am using iPad2. Anyone got any ideas please?
Ok I read some of the other posts and restarted the iPad which seems to have solved the issue temporarily. Is there likely to be a fix for this in the near future?

Have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge (the Rs 60) may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

Error 1604
This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

So I haven't used my Shuffle in months and I don't remember how much battery was left when I stopped using it. When I connect my ipod to my laptop, a red light glows and my computer, nor my laptop will recogonize the ipod. It won't charge either. I've left it connected to an outlet and my laptop for hours but the red light won't go away. Help, please!
If you connected it to both your computer's USB port and a USB power adapter on a wall outlet, I think you've ruled out a problem with the power source. Since you at least get the red light, the USB docking cable is probably OK.
So, if it's not the USB port or the docking cable, the cause is likely to be on the shuffle. It may be the battery or a problem on the logic board. If it was just the battery, I think it would still appear in iTunes on the computer (or at least be recognized by the system).
(If this shuffle is less than one year from purchase date, it is under warranty.)

PDFs not importing in at 100%
