hello, I have a problem with my iPhone 5 becouse have simlock on sprint carrier and I dont know how unlock it. I have information, sprint unlocking their smartfon for 3 month use.

    No, it's done on the computer, it's just done on the web and not through iTunes. I guess you could do it on the iPhone, but it would be easier to do on the computer.

    I can send and receive calls.
    I get "messaging stopped" when doing a lot of texts.
    Texts come up "ghosted" meaning they have the text on the bottom and a transparent one overlaid  on top. they then become one. But I get the ghosting most of the time when I go into a message from a contact to send a text.
    When I go to call logs or text logs, the numbers come up first, and then then the names pop up randomly, meaning not in order down the page, until they are all shown. lots of lag time.
    It runs slow.
    I have 5 apps on here. I should be able to have a  lot of apps on here, and play music, and have files, and...and....and.
    I can get online but doing a Google search, when the page with the choices comes up, it is blurred and I have to tap on the screen for it to become clear and readable.
    When online and scrolling, it hitches sometimes/lags/gets stuck then unstuck
    I get VZWAVS has stopped. (not sure if those are the right letters)
    The status bar that is supposed to be gray with the new update, goes back and forth between green--the old os--to gray. And I have found no continuity with when I get green or when I get gray.
    I get a black screen on occasion.
    sometimes the proximity sensor doesn't work.
    sometimes when I have my bluetooth on and have "hands free mode" on, I get the a text message read through the headset and also through the handset.

    Hi - it depends on how old your iPhone is. Is it fairly new or if its less than 28 days old you can bring it back to the store if bought through one of the common networks. I had an earpiece problem when I bought mine after just 10 days or so, I couldn't hear anyone through the earpiece and exchanged in store for Free.

    It sounds like you are unable to turn on Wi-Fi because the option is grayed out in Settings. Use these steps from the following article named:

    Restart your iOS device.
    Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
    Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
    Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.

    I have a problem with my 7911 phone when i press Keys 1,2 or 3 it leads me to settings menu. I cannot factory reset phone because  when i press 1 after holding # it starts booting.

    I have never heard of bug causing this type of an issue. Do you have other phones of the same models and if so do they behave the same way? Sounds to be like faulty phone.

    Here's the problems I'm having with iPad 2 and iOS 5.1:
    Okay ... so, because I had less than a 1 Gig left (as reported by iTunes) on my 64Gig iPad, and the majority of the space was being used by "Photos" ... I decided to not keep my PC photos directory in sync with my iPad (Windows 7). So, in iTunes, I unchecked the option to sync computer photos to the iPad. I got the standard popup warning message that my iPad would not contain those albums after the next sync. I clicked OK and proceeded to sync expecting to have lots of space freed up.
    But weird things happened after syncing.
    (1) I still have all my photos on my iPad .... nothing disappeared at all. (And performed multiple syncs to try to force the change ... still nothing has been removed from my iPad.)
    (2) Somehow, I gained 20 Gigs of free space, as reported by both iTunes and my iPad as well.
    Anyone know what's going on here?
    I do have iMovie and another movie making app, Avid. Both of these contain projects that refer to photos in albums that were supposed to be removed after the sync ... but I can't imagine that would keep them there. Anyone have any ideas?
    I also installed the iPad app, iPhoto. I noticed that it build a directory listing and continuously want to update that listing from time to time.
    Would any of these things cause the iTunes photo sync changes to be ignored? And, how did I get free space to report back with an additional 19Gig or so, when there's no change at all.
    Unsure what's going on ...

    MY iphone is unlocked in uk and accepts all sim cards in uk but when i travel to colombia and insert local sim it asks to activate the phone and then says please insert the original sim the phone came with why is this when my phone is unlocked ?

    i got my phone on the vodafone network in uk, also they are the ones who unlocked my iphone 5 for me by contacting apple and my phone was unlocked, at the time i checked 4 different uk sim cards in my phone and were all working fine, then i had problem with my iphone kept crashing so took it in to a apple store in uk and the exchanged my iphone for me.
    when phone had been exchanged in apple store they gave me unlocked phone, how i know this my carrier is vodafone uk, and i have used my uk t-mobile sim card in there and was working fine, and currently using giffgaff uk sim card which runs on the uk o2 network telefonica. works perfectly fine.
    it is now that i am in colombia and inserted sim card from clara previously known as comcel colombia,
    and it said - ACTIVATION REQUIRED - when it states that i can see full signal bars for reception and also see the 3G sign.
    then states either choose wifi signal or use mobile connection.
    i can choose either and have choosen boh options an it states
    only compataible sim cards from a supported carrier maybe used to activate iphone. please insert the sim card that came with your iphone
    so strange when i can use all uk sim cards in my phone and has been tested by me myself

  • Problems with new 8900 phone

    Hi there
    I've just upgraded from a Blackberry 8310 to a new 8900.
    However I have some bugbears with the new phone which I cannot seem to fathom.
    (the old 8310 had a trackball problem and wouldnt go up or down. I replaced the trackball but a piece of the solder underneath the trackball also fell out).
    Anyway on the 8900, please can someone help with :
    1) When I upgraded O2 said there was satnav built in but I cannot find anything on the phone. I have maps... is that it? The 8310 had Telmap on it.
    2) Now for the biggest issue. When using the browser I can only navigate using the trackball which controls a mouse/cursor. On the 8310 there was 2 ways of navigating the web. One was using the mouse/cursor and there was also another way which was a mobile view which meant you could navigate using the trackball and it would select text much more easily. Unfortunately I cannot say exactly how it was worded as my sim no longer works in the old phone.
    3) Finally I can never get the sim card out. When you take the battery out and push in the sim card. There is a piece of black plastic which you push the simcard into. However this will not move in any direction so the only way of releasing the simcard is to literally bend it with a pair of tweezers and lever it out.

    1. The 8900 has built in GPS. Go to Options > Advanced > GPS. Press Menu > Refresh GPS.
    You should have BlackBerry Maps included with the device software.
    2. Your cursor "arrow" is the new navigation tool in the new browser.
    3. I'm not sure. I don't have a 8900 in front of me, but I have had two, and never had any issue removing/replacing the SIM card. I would recommend using something like a pencil eraser to push upwards and out on the SIM card. I wouldn't bend the SIM. Ask someone at a retail store to show you how to release the SIM card.

  • Problem with unlock button

    I habe purchased blackberry 9320 just a month back (13th May 2013). I am facing a problem wit unlock button. It seems it is by default in depressed state. Currently it is working but can go down any time. I have visited service center and they asked me to deposit the phone for at least 8 days to get it repaired. This is completely unacceptable for a month old phone!!!

    As a user-to-user community, no one here can answer your question with any level of authority whatsoever. BlackBerry provides zero front line support to end users, including warranty...all support starts with the carriers, authorized resellers, and authorized service centers, all who can escalate cases into BlackBerry at no charge to the end user.
    So, your escalation path is not here, in these forums. Rather, it is through your service center...even if you do not agree with what they have told you. You have no free path by which to bypass them. Your warranty service terms should be governed by your original purchase contract -- if that indeed said that you must leave it with them for 8 days, then that is what you agreed to when you made your purchase (regardless if you feel it acceptable or not now, you nevertheless previously contractually agreed to it).
    There is something called incident support, but it costs to just ask the initial question, since you are bypassing the contract you signed upon purchase. If you wish to investigate that, you can review it here:

    But, all in all, from your description, I might not hold out much hope...after all, what you describe does sound like a hardware issue. And just being one month old is not really relevant -- defect can certainly exist, and actually is normally discovered earlier than later. So, from what you describe, it sounds like a manufacturing defect, which should be covered by your warranty (but you may, contractually, have to wait those 8 days if indeed that's what the contract you agreed to states).
