hi guys anyone with information - i just lost my new iphone 4S and i had not yet uploaded the software 'locatemyiphone'. can anyone suggest how i can still recover it
Unless you activated the free Find My Phone service (not an app, nothing to download), BEFORE the phone was lost, there is no way for you to locate it. You should notify your carrier ASAP to suspend cell service.
FYI, activating Find My Phone was part of the phone activation process. You had to decline it if you don't have it.

My digitizer is not responding however i have loads of iMessages which i can see because the lcd screen is visible but touchscreen is brokenI tried to go onto my ipod touch to look at them but when i looked it had not been signed in to iMessage which was after i received the iMessage on my iPhone . When you log into you icloud account on your computer you are viewing data that you sync to icloud not the backups. You can't view the backups.

An iPhone 3G cannot be updated to 5.1.1; the last version supported is 4.2.1. So if you managed to get 5.1.1 on it through some means that bypasses Apple's protections you have wiped out your phone.

Hello, I just got an iPhone 4S and it seems that the bluetooth function in it doesn't work. I tried few times to pair it to other non Apple phones but it never worked. Does anyone has an idea how to solve the problem? Tks.
This is not a feature of iPhone, iPad or iOS.
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone
devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the
app store and internet tethering where provided by the carrier.

non of them it works with the appleID so if the thief restore the device so your appleID is not longer used you can't whipe or block it from icloud

You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.

I figured it out. You have to have location services turned on specifically for the native weather app. My husband already did and that's why his was working. In the previous ios, I chose to disable location services to save battery and had the widget set to show weather for my home city regardless of where I was. Now that doesn't appear to be an option. Hopefully it won't drain my battery too much.
