Sounds like the Activation Lock is still set to the previous owner. If you are unable to get that Apple ID and password that iPhone is totally useless to you.
Take it back to the shop and demand your money back because they sold it to under false pretenses.

Hi,
Two months ago I had to change my SSD due to a damage at the old one. In the Apple shop they installed OS X Lion with a image from their image-server.
After that the Mac was quite slow in booting. With the old SSD (128 GB) booting takes 25 sec now it takes 75 sec.
I tried different things to solve the problem without result. First I asked in the shop, then I googled the problem all with no real solution.
Today now I searched in the log files. I found the following:

I get the same error message as the OP. My account is an Admin on the machine. It's configured to automatically log in on boot -- except sometimes it fails. It has a login-item which runs a bash script that makes an https request to a nearby machine. Maybe I should make this script sleep a while so the https action happens after the boot sequence is done? (unlike SmashHuevo, my user needs to be an Admin)

"Could not get the audio data from the file" error

Hi
I get a lot of "Could not get the audio data from the file" errors when opening a project. Sometimes they crash Premiere Pro CC 7.01 (Mac). But if not Premiere works as usual, with the audio.
I tried to convert the audio files (coming from Audition) from 32 to 16 bit. It worked while opening a project once, but not the following times.
Where can it come from ?
Edit: I also get this error when importing audio: "Error: Premiere Pro version 7.0 is not compatible with the Premiere Pro Plug-in version 5.7.4". Maybe it is connected.

Got it! It was the Smartsound plugin making trouble. Got rid of it and no more errors.

Iphone 5 was stolen. but could not use the Find my iphone! help! ;(

My iphone 5 was stolen today in netherlands. however, i did not turn on the icloud. so i couldnt use find my iphone to track it. anyway else i could do to trace my phone? IMEI or sth? i really want my phone back. any suggestions?

If you did not set up Find My iPhone, then only your cell carrier would have the possibility of tracking your iPhone, if they offer such as service. Some carriers do, but most require you to sign up for the service and pay extra. You can call your carrier and ask if they have any tracking service available to you.
If your carrier does not offer such a service and you did not set up Find My iPhone, then there is no way to track the unit. Contact the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPhone (the iTunes Store, for instance).

Java could not get the TGT from cache in Linux client.

I have set up the kerberos server and OpenLDAP in RHEL5.5. I also have a RHEL6 as a client.
I have ran my java program using jaas to query the openldap server from the linux client.
1) I can query the openldap server If I copy the client's keytab to the client machine and use the following configruation options
principal=wpingli
useKeyTab=true
keyTab="/home/wpingli/ker/java/wpingli_new.keytab";
2) I also can query the openldap server If I am prompted to input the user/password.
This makes me believe that my enviroment is ok.
But I could not be sucessful if I run the java program after the kinit command.

Msvcr80.dll error- When uninstalling apps, could not get the mobile device support app to uninstall

MSVCR80.dll error/windows 7/ lost Itunes. Tried to uninstall applications- Itunes, apple software update, sucessfully but Apple mobile device support would not uninstall so I could not continue uninstalling the rest.
Anyone have any ideas??

If you haven't already done these steps, this section contains information that might help your situation, as the order and manner which you uninstall has an effect on the outcome:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

I made a Blurb book through Lightroom 5, on another computer, backed it up on an external hard drive and tried to import it into my imac. I got the picture files, but could not get the book I had worked on. How do I find my book?

I made a 'Blurb' book using Lightroom on a computer that was not mine. I backed up the book on an external hard drive and then tried to import the book into my imac. I wasn't able to retrieve my book. The photos I used for the book project are there, but the 45 page book I made is not there.
What do I need to do?

You would need to go to the computer containing the book.
Select the saved book in the Collection panel.
Go to Grid View [ G ] and select all the images [Cmd/Ctrl][A]
File>Export as Catalog and store on media you can use to transfer
Bring this catalog onto your computer
File>Import from another catalog and bring the transitory catalog into your master catalog.
It should bring the images, your collections (including your book) and other settings into your own catalog.

Force the phone into recovery mode & restore from your most recent backup:
Turn your phone off. Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. Follow this by syncing your content back to your phone.

You cannot drag anything from the Advanced tab.
Go to the location indicated in the Advance tab, that folder is what needs to be moved.

I upgraded from 3.6 and could not get the orange Firefox button but only a grey one with misaligned commands. When I hit View/Menu Bar even this button has vanished and the screen resembles 3.6

I use Win7 on a desktop PC. I upgraded Firefox 3.6 to 4.0. Where there should have been the orange firefox button was a grey button 'Firefox' with a small arrow. on clicking this the commands were there, but not properly aligned. There was also no minimise/maximise/exit buttons on the top right of the screen. I checked 'Help' and found no info. I then turned on View/Menu Bar. The minimise/maximise/exit buttons appeared; the grey button vanished and the screen now resembles FF 3.6. However About tells me that I am using 4.0.
BTW, I also tried various Beta versions in 2010 and abadnoned them because the same problem happened.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

TS4108 I have recently done a software update on my phone, when complete I could not get the phone to work and the icon showed I had to connect to I-tunes. I then lost some recent data and photos. If they are backed up to the cloud how do I recover them?

When I completed my last software update directly on my phone I didn't realise I would then be prompted to do and I-tunes update that would wipe my phone. There seemed to be no turning back so I lost some data and photos. I'm assuming these will be backed up to the cloud but have no idea how to retrieve them.

If you have an iCloud backup, restore it to your phone as explained here: https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521. If you have a backup on your computer instead, restore it to your phone by connecting your phone to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Restore from Backup.

After getting the up-to-date Mountain Lion, can I download it on other devices?

I also was allowed to install it for free on my 2011 13 inch Macbook Pro. However, I couldn't do the same for my 2011 15 inch Macbook Pro. Instead of saying "install", it said "Buy app, $19.99". If I click "buy app", will I have to pay $19.99 or will it give it to me for free?

The copy of Mountain Lion you get through the Up-To-Date program is for installing exclusively on the qualifiying hardware. If you want to install on other hardware you own you'll need to make a seperate purchase.
You might want to read over the license agreement that is available via the MAS.
