HT5019 i do not have the arrangement tab in my display settings??

i am trying to connect my 2011 macbook pro osx 10.6.8 to my sony hdtv and cannot get them to find each other. i have gone into display settings and do not seem to have the arrangement tab in bewteen display and colour. can anybody offer and help or advice?

That only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, if you are on iOS 4 then you will need to do the next update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off it via File > Transfer Purchases (you may also want to copy photos off the iPad as well) and then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'. You may also want to copy off the iPad any important documents, notes, files etc e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case.
You can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button.

You don't need to upgrade your software. But if you're struggling with Spry, IMO you should cut your losses and switch to something better for the longrun.
If you have a budget to work with, I highly recommend Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic 3. It's easy to use in DW CS4, 5, 6 or CC. More importantly, it's bullet proof and works in all devices.

I can open a new tab with crtl T and by going File - New Tab.
I am running latest Firefox.
I think this problem occurred when it updated from the beta 5 that I was running.
Beta 5 was removed because it did not return me to my home page on restarting. It brought up my last visited page

Firefox is customizable, you can drag the new tab button from one toolbar to another or return it to the customize dialog box. When on the Tabs Bar bar it looks like a Plus sign with a black "+", when on the navigation bar it looks like a white "+" and a black background of filing cabinet folder. I think you have the new tab button next to the tabs but with tabs bar on top it is so confusing.

I have an IPad 2. I tried to use Netflix and it told me that I needed to have iOS 6.1.2. Turns out I do not have the one before that either. I never got an alert as I did on my iphone 4s. When I ask the how to question, apple support tells me to go to Settings, General, Software update. Problem is I do not have software update available as a choice. Are there alternative ways to upgrade? Thanks. I did notice on other discussion boards that other Netflix users are pulling their hair out since the upgrade to 6.1.2.

Settings>General>Software Update is only available in IOS 5 and above.
If you are using IOS 4, you need to connect to iTune (computer) to update software.

I have just updated to Firefox 13.0. I have the AVG Secure Search on my browser or whatever it is that is where the search engines and refresh, and bookmarks icons are located. Even though on my add ons page it says it is disabled. But obviously it isn't because it still works. I have removed AVG Secure Search from the list of search engines in the drop down list in the search bar, but this did not solve the problem with my tabs. The Firefox website says that my Firefox is up to date, but if it is up to date why do I still have the same old tab page when I open a new tab? When I click on the plus sign to get a new tab, it takes me to about:Tabs and says on the screen "You've opened a new tab." Then it has a search bar and a button next to it that says "Web Search!" You only see items on the about:newtab page if the history is enabled and the browsing cache is working (stores thumbnails).

You can check the current cache usage on the about:cache page and in Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage.

Now I want to bring the bookmarks form my old tower computer using firefox 3.6.23 to the new laptop using firefox 7.0. I got the instruction on how to sync the two computers, but I cannot find the sync tab under options in the firefox 3.6.23 computer. Will upgrading the tower's firefox to a newer version give me the sync tab under options?

With firefox 3.6 I think you may have had to use sync as a separate add-on. If so try finding and installing that. Alternativly export your bookmarks from Firefox 3.6, then move that file, using any suitable method (eg removable media, email atacchment, computer network) to somewhere the new laptop can access it and imprt the bookmarks. Remember
* back up your bookmarks (on both machines) before doing anything
* importing standard firefox bookmarks overwwrites existing bookmarks
* (if you just have a few bookmarks on one machine, consider exporting as HTML, when you import those they will append, instead of overwriting the existing files)

I've got my new iphone4 replacement from a apple store. I am wanting to get my old apps that i have purchased through the app store on my old iphone, onto this new one, its a different laptop so wont be able to use back up file. i did not uses my old iphone4 for the last 6 months as the phone was too broken to use, I'm not bothered about the free apps its just the purcased apps and the few itunes songs i had.

No. Apple does no tracking of lost or stolen devices.

Both the Firefox button menu and classic menu are available.
To switch from the classic menu bar to the Firefox button, click "View" in the menu bar, hover over "Toolbars", then click "Menu Bar" to toggle it off.

My Firefox 4 does not have the feedback tab, Apps Tab, or Firefox Button. What is going on?

I installed the Firefox 4 beta and received the message "The operation cannot be completed because of an internal failure. A secure network communication has not been cleaned up correctly," and I have no idea what that means. Also, I am running Windows XP, but all the screenshots on the website seem to be from Windows 7. I do not know if either of those things is causing my problem. I am not about to change my OS to get the most out of a free browser, so hopefully this can be fixed without moving to 7. If not, can someone tell me how to move back to FF 3.6?

Still, I had a lot of issues. I got that bug every time I opened FF 4, and it was actually preceded by what looked like the system re-installing the program.
Also, it would not let me open any web pages. Maybe the problem is that I still have FF 3.6 on my system, and I have it set as a start-up program. Still, this is the first beta I have ever tried, and I am not willing to let go of 3.6 just yet. I actually tried to install wubi instead, but I couldn't get FF4 working on Linux, either.
In any case, I only installed the beta because I was getting impatient for the finished product. I have uninstalled it now, and will probably just wait for release of the new version unless you know what is causing these issues. Thanks again for the help.

The hotspot is a feature of your cellphone plan. If you don't have that as part of the plan, then you can't use one. Contact your carrier if you are not sure.
