HT5029 Calendar -- I need to subscribe to a school district calendar which log-in requires ID and password

For supervision of academic performance of child, I need to subscribe to a school district calendar which has teacher-supplied info respecting the student. On the web with Safari, there is log-in ID and password required for access. When looking at the data page, it contemplates an iCal subscription as the means of seeing it. Calendar.app can't seem to get there, and I assume it has to do with the fact that ID and password are required. Calendar does not seem to offer me a way to subscribe to a calendar which subscription requires log-in ID and password.

It certainly sounds like your harddrive is dying. I would Immediately backup your harddrive to an external USB or Firewire harddrive Before doing anything else. It just may save your data in time before you lose it all.

Start here, and reset your password, you will receive an email with your new password, then go to manage your account > Password and Security and change your security questions.

i have a ipod touch 4g...and my router requires WEP key and a username and a password when i connect to it through my laptop..ipod touch only asks for a password i.e. the WEP key..question is how to enter the username and the password in ipod touch?

my service provider has provided me with a username and a password..therefore my router is "NOT ALWAYS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET"..also PPPoE is enabled...
i think i ll have to call the ISP and tell him to remove the username and password...because i dont think that ipod has a provision for entering passwords other than the WEP key..

I'm having difficulty finding a cloud-based calendar which will sync to iPhone and on which you can set new appointments WITH reminders from either a Windows 7 desktop or the phone. Before you suggest it, iCloud doesn't work on any Windows browser or have a Windows desktop app that I can see. I've tried Google, Hotmail and Yahoo calendars via my fave browser Firefox. All of them have "reminders", which are usually a popup, text message or email. I don't want any of those, I just want the iPhone notification. To get it I have to set one manually on the iPhone after the event syncs to it. If I create an event on the iPhone, I can also set a reminder, which works fine, and it doesn't create a reminder in the browser. But I don't want to have to use the phone to set every single new event! Anyone find a solution to this? TIA.

OK, here's what I did:
Logged onto icloud.com with my apple ID
Created a me.com email address
Enabled me.com email account on phone in iCloud settings, enabled mail and calendars
Clicked calendar in browser, it said "need a me.com email"
Logged out and back in using new me.com address, no problem
Clicked calendar. An empty new calendar is there, but I can't see any "import" or "sync" options anywhere on the screen or in settings.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks again for your help.
PS, I already notice that new events set in the browser don't have the option of setting alerts at the actual event time, only 5 minutes before, which Apple FINALLY added to the phone. Grrrrrrr...

Yes. I tried it. But whenever I restart m Mac, the watch folder doesn't work until I reconnect to network or run the Automator... I need a simple system that automatically connects to the network and monitor the folder, even I restart the Mac.

Hi guys,
I use microsoft outlook at work but I at home I have a macbook pro and an iphone. Therefore, I would like to see all appointments and events from my outlook calendar on my apple calendars as well.
I published the outlook calendar (.ics) on onedrive, which is microsoft's cloud service. Then I tried to subscribe to the calendar on my macbook. After entering the calendar url I get the following error message:
"There was an error subscribing to the calendar. You do not have permission to access the calendar at https://...."
Supposedly, I have to enter my onedrive username and password. But the programm does not ask me for it. I just get the error message.
How can I enter the credentials before the the mac calendar tries to subscribe to the online calendar?

Do you have Acrobat as part of your subscription? If so, Adobe PDF Pack would be unnecessary. The features that Adobe PDF Pack offers (create, combine, convert PDF files) are available in Acrobat.

I haven't gotten a Touch...yet, but I was talking with my friend, and he said that I might need to subscribe to get Internet on it like you would do with a cell phone. Is that right? Doesn't the internet already come on Touch and can't I just suck up the signal that's running through my house? Thanks

You need not subscribe to anything to use it with a free internet site, just connect, enter any password that might be required and go. If you go to Starbucks you have have to pay to use the Internet and set up an account.
