HT5029 Subscribed iCal calendar events don't show on iphone

I have followed all the instructions & my subscribed calendar does show in my iphone list of calendars under iCloud.  The problem is none of the events from this subscribed calendar show up. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the subscription but always have the same results. Any suggestions? What am I missing?

I have the same problem.  Spoke with Apple support.  They gave me a way to update the subscribed calendars, BUT it is not automatic.  Go to iCloud on your iPhone, turn off the calendar button (select the keep data on my iphone button), wait a minute, turn the calendar button back on, select the merge data button.  This will update your subscribed calendar data.

  • IPod Touch 1.1.2 - calendar events don't show up on iCal

Hi, I just upgraded my iPod Touch to 1.1.2 using the option-click Restore with the downloaded firmware. All went well.
Then, tried to add new events in on the iPod, no problem. But I can't get them to sync with the Mac. Just won't show up in iCal! How disappointing. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get events from my iPod to iCal.
    Running 10.5 + iTunes 7.5 + QT 7.3 + iPod Touch 1.1.2
    Thanks, Malcolm

Ok, got calendar events syncing now. I think it was a problem with iCal. But here's what I did:
    - Clicked restore on iPod Touch, by this time the 1.1.2 update was available on iTunes, so wiped it and updated it to 1.1.2 "official"
    - Synced up calendars and contacts first to see if it would work, the weirdest thing was that events I had created on the touch before reset and that didn't show on iCal were back on the touch!! Spooky. They must have synced to iCal but iCal didn't show them (even after restarts).
    - Chose "Back up iCal" in the File menu, and then "Restore iCal" from the backup I just made, and hey presto the iPod Touch created events were now showing. They had been in iCal all along but iCal was hiding them.
    - Tested out two way syncing of events, all works great now.
I love my iPod touch again (except for the Safari crashing stuff...) That was harder than it needed to be.

  • Past calendar events don't show in Outlook

My calendar events from 4 months back doesn't show in Outlook, but I am able to see everything through the oracle client. Is there any setting I can use to correst that.

    Hi,
We raised this issue as a TAR through metalink. To fix this problem (i.e. allow you to view calendar meetings more than 2 weeks before the current date), you have to change a value in a config file on the server. The default value for viewing historic calendar entries is 2 weeks. Changing the value in Outlook (Oracle Connector options) won't work if the server config file is set to the default.
Unfortunately I don't have access to Metalink at the moment so I can't tell you where to change it but if you do a search there you should be able to find it.

  • My Iphone calendar events are not showing up in iCal when I sync? Syncing has not been an issue till today?

My Iphone calendar events are not showing up in iCal when I sync? Syncing has not been an issue till today?

I found this tip from a 2011 discussion on the same topic.
Open iCal and backup or export your entries. Make a note of the fie name and location, you're going to need them in a minute. Once your backup/export is completed, close the iCal application.
Open Finder and remove everything inside the "Username/Library/Calendars" folder. For instance, if your username is "Joe", then move everything inside the "Joe/Library/Calendars" folder.
Open the iSync application. It's located in the "/Applications/" folder. Once iSync is opened, go into the iSync Preferences (iSync -> Preferences) and push/click the "Reset Sync History" button. Then, close the iSync application.
Re-Open the iCal application and Import (File -> Import) a new calendar. When prompted, use your notes from Step #1 to select the file your created earlier. Once completed, close the iCal application (you should have all of your calendar entries back.)
Open the iTunes application and connect your Apple iPhone to the computer.
Within the Advanced section of the Info tab for the Apple iPhone, check the box the overwrites/replaces the Calendar data on the Apple iPhone.
Click the Apple/Sync button. New, modified and deleted entries should now be syncing correctly.
That's it! You should be all set and iTunes, iCal and our Apple iPhone should all be playing nicely as friends again. We've used the exact method to repair our own Apple iPhone at least once... maybe even twice.

  • All day events don't show on wiki calender

for some reason any all day events i put in ical doesn't update on the wiki, its fine for any other events that aren't all day, has anybody found a solution for this? Also is it possible to colour code events?

Even stranger, I have this problem with one calendar and MobileMe (and thus my other Macs.)
Only one calendar, and multi-day events don't show up. Uncheck 'all-day' and they appear. Re-check 'all-day' and they turn into multi-day events on me.com
    Very strange indeed.

  • Attachments in iCal on MBP don't show up on iPad

    Hi Guys,
I have a macbook pro running 10.6.3 and I just got the iPad. I have an exchange account configured on my mail and iPad and I see that the iCal events get syncd via push to my iPad, but I see that the attachments to the event don't show up. Typically every meeting invite would have a word document attached so I wanted to take the iPad in to the meeting and open up the document from the invite to review etc. But I am not sure if this is supported. At the same time I can see the attachment on iCal on my macbook.
Anybody know how to make this work ?
    Thanks,
    Vinay

    hi,
had the same problem and found out, that attachments are not synced between imac/macbook/ ipodtouch. I`m using a workaround on the the macbook I put under url a link to the document, and on the Ipod touch (should be the same on the Ipad, have not got mine yet) I use an app called goodreader, (0,99 cts) there I make a link in Ical to this document and that works perfect.

  • N900 Calendar events didn't show up on widget

My device is running on the latest (?) V 10.2010.12-9 firmware, I find some of my calendar events didn't show up on the widget. It show 5 current events, but when I add an event in between the dates it didn't show up, but the widget does reflect changes to the current events, ie. date and title change, if I remove an event a later event will fill up the space. All my events are in the default N900 local group, and I don't see anything wrong with the setting, is this a bug ??

Now I know what happen, the build in calendar widget has problem that only shows repeated events, I install the 'calendar home widget' and it worked normally, but the calendar still has problem, the event alarm can not set between 1 and 3 hours, the same problem on an old S60 model I forget which one.

  • Some Events Don't Show Up in List View on Calendar

I love using Calendar on my iPhone 4S.  I like the List View, where I can everything I have for that day.  However, I've noticed a glitch:  some events which are on my calendar for that day when you view the day by tapping on the day of the month, don't show up when you tap on "List".  I don't get it.  I can't figure it out for the life of me.
Does anyone know why that happens?

Are the events missing subscription events?
I recently took the big leap into the total wireless syncing thing. And unfortunately I have found that anything that is subscription won't sync from iCal on my macbook pro to MM or my iPhone 3G. And when I say subscription, if there are any calendars that you have subscribed to in iCal that show up on a separate list, in 10.5, they will not be included in the syncing. However, there is one subscription of moon phases that ended up in the regular part of the list and it is syncing to my phone and MM just fine.
This is upsetting to me because I would like very much to subscribe to my wife's calendar to have on my iPhone and on MM and they won't be showing up because they are not supported. I checked with AppleCare on this and they told me that Apple is not allowing subscriptions because of the possibility of date redundancies mucking up the servers.
    Anyway, I hope this helps.

  • Problem adding events to calendar - they don't show up

I have an intermittent and very strange problem which occurs when adding an event to the calendar on my iPhone 4 (Verizon - running latest iOS).
I will create an event, fill out time, date, name, etc and click done, and then the event will not show up in the calendar. Sometimes I can go through this process five or six times in a row before the event finally appears. None of the other attempts ever show up later, and they're not findable via search, so I know this isn't either me doing something dumb (like entering the wrong date) or a delay of some kind.
I am using MobileMe and the calendar in question is always a MobileMe calendar, simply because those are the only ones I use. I have not tested this with the iPhone local calendar.
Recently, I experienced the same issue when deleting an event. It took a few tries before the deletion did anything.
This occurs probably 80% of the time I create an event, and has always occurred. It NEVER happens when I create an event via a hyperlinked date/time shortcut suggestion in an email or the like.
    Has anyone experienced this?

If you only have one account, it, inherently will be the default.
On the iPhone, Settings >Mail, Contacts, Calendar
Scroll down. In each section there should be a 'Default Account'. So one form Mail, Contacts and Calendar. Check that the one account you have / use is set to the default.

  • Changing the Color of a subscribed iCal calendar

Is there any way to change the color of an iCal calendar that I subscribe to?  The iCal subscription is from another Mac User (iCloud) who published the calendar using a color that I use for my calendar and I'd rather change hers (on my Mac) than change mine.
Doing a "get info" shows the color but it's 'grey'd out' so I can't change it.
    Thanks

I can't tell you why this is happening, but I can tell you that I admin many different iCloud users. Some subscribed calendars' colors can be changed in iCal, some are greyed out. It can't make any sense of it yet. However, If you want to change the colors of these calendars, you may do so by logging into your account in iCloud. Get to the calendars and hit EDIT. You will see colored dots next to each calendar. You can then change the color there. Log out and refresh in ical. The colors will (eventualy) be changed. Hope this helps.

  • Incorrect display iCal calendar events on iPod Classic

    Hi.
I'm the owner of iPod Classic 120Gb with latest firmware (2.0.1)
I synchronise iCal calendars with my iPod Classic.
My events in "iCal" contain much of the text, but iPod Classic can show only little first part of text when i select this events.
    I cannot see all text.
    It is incorrect
For Example - iPod Nano 4gen can show all text of this events.

They do sync back for me. So, I'm not sure what the problem is. You might try resetting the sync history:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301217
Alternatively, (and drastically) maybe Restore your IPT.
    Hope this helps...

  • IPod calendar events don't appear on computer after sync

How can I set my Touch so that its calendar events are added to iCal on my MacBook Pro? When I sync through iTunes, nothing on the Touch gets tranferred. Thanks!

    You're welcome

  • Why are random calendar events being deleted from my iphone when I sync it with ical?

My settings are such that events entered on both devices should push to both devices when I sync. The events being deleted from my iphone are not consistent (ie. older than a certain date), they are random.

This happens to me INCESSANTLY.  I'm looking at my calendar events one second, and POOF!, the next second all of the events I've entered into the calendar- with the exception of birthdays that are on the actual contact information for a person- are GONE.  My calendar settings are set to sync all events- no timeframe- and always have been.  This happened to me nonstop on my old iPhone 3GS, and I was sure it was the phone causing this issue.  Now, I have my new iPhone 5 in my hands and same ol'   , different equipment.  I have done EVERYTHING I can think of to prevent this from happening or to restore the data- including rebooting, holding home button and on/off at same time, etc.- and NOTHING works to restore the data.  And then, just as magically as the data disappeared, POOF!- the data is back randomly sometime later.  That "later" may be 5 mins, a day, several days.  This is an absurd and EXASPERATING glitch that APPLE NEEDS TO FIX IMMEDIATELY!!!  I'm starting to hate the iPhone and Apple in general when I continuously experience HUGE glitches like this that have a profound impact on what you're trying to accomplish within a feature that you DEPEND on... yet Apple has "never heard of that problem before".  You suck, Apple.  Don't send your problems out into the real world, to users who just gave you $800 for another glitchy piece of equipment that never solves your software issues.

  • Upgrade of OS lost some of ical calendar events

I upgraded my OS from 10.4 to 10.6.8 on my iMac core duo intel computer.  I have now lost a lot of events that were on my old iCal calendar.  I have lost a lot of my calendar events in the upgrade.  What happened and how can I recapture the missing events?

    Hello:
Did you make an archive copy of the calendar at any point?
If you did not, I suspect that they are gone forever.

  • Mac subscribes to calendars that don't exist

    Hi all,
We store all our iCal calendars on a single mac's local server and have 3 macs subscribe to these calendars. i.e. calendars are stored at http://ip address/~username/calendar-name.ics.
This has worked fine for months, however I had just updated some dates on the central computer but when we refresh or even subscribe to the calendars the dates are still the same as they were before the update.
I've even deleted all the calendars from the central computer but even when there is nothing to subscribe to, each of the other three macs is still subscribing to the old dates. Even turning off the central computer does nothing.
We're running OSX 10.3.9 and iCal 1.5.5. I know we're running an old system but like I said it has worked fine for months.
    Help!

Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but if you have 2 or more computers authorised then you can log into your account and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.
