Can I transfer an imovie project between user accounts on Macbook?

I should be able to shouldn't I? But when I transfer a project to the shared folder on the drive, or drop it onto another user's desktop I get the following message no matter what:
The project could not be opened, because the disk is full, the folder is locked, or the folder permission are incorrect. If the project is on a CD-ROM, network server, or locked disk, then copy it to your hard drive before opening it. If the project is already on your hard disk, then the disk may be completely full, or you may not have permission to modify that folder. Correct the problem and try again
I have tried repairing permissions, repairing the volume, manually changing ownership and permissions on the project... but no matter what I do, I can only open it in the original account in which it was created. Any ideas guys?

I think you can transfer an iMovie for iOS project from the iPad and edit it on iMovie on the Mac. This works fine.
However, you cannot start a movie on iMovie for the Mac and transfer it to iMovie for the iPad.
Think of it this way.
Say that iMovie for the Mac has 1000 features*, and iMovie for the iPad has 400 features*. These 400 features map one to one to an equivalent iMovie for Mac feature. Because there is a good mapping, you can transfer and edit.
But if you go the other way, iMovie for Mac has 600 features for which there is no corresponding feature in iMovie for iPad or iPhone. So there is no way to edit an iMovie for Mac project on the iPad.
* I made these numbers up for illustration purposes.

I don't want her to use my account anymore but she is very protective of her Simpsons and other game saves that she's spent months playing... Is there any way to create a new account and for her to keep the progress she's made in her games? She's only 12 hence the importance of the game save.

I was given a gift of $40 for the itunes music store, I am unable to use it. Can I transfer this balance to another user?

I am not entirely sure that this would work, but the only way i would know of to try would be to go to the itunes store and on the right click on "redeem". This brings up a list of options and in the top right hand corner i believe it says something about giving a gift on itunes. If you then chose the option that says e-mail gift certificates you may be able to give it as a gift to someone and have it draw out of the credit you have, but i must warn you ive never tried this and i am not postive as to weather it would draw out of the credit you have or if it would come straight out of your account. Its just a theory but its one ive never tried, but so far no one has come up with anything else so i hope i helped in some way.

No, you can't do it directly nor can you use it to buy another card to gift.

You can't transfer a balance between accounts, it can only be used to buy content for the account that it's on (it also can't be used to gift content to another account)

OK, now I have another problem. I typed in my email address wrong. Instead of optonline.net I typed in optimum.net. Though I can google my email address and it defaults to the optonline.net the email to confirm the change is not showing up. I know, real stupid. Step 1
I'm on Win7 so the paths might be slightly different... C:\Users\(YOUR PC ACCOUNT)\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\bnelgkol.default\bookmarkbackups ... Find the "bookmarks-[DATE].json" you want and copy it to the profile you want. You may want to change the date to a name you will recognize.
Step 2
Then on your browser "Bookmarks>Show All Bookmarks or Ctrl+Shift+B ". This will bring up the Bookmark Organizer, I think they call it Library now. From there click "Import & Back up>Restore" this will bring up a drop down with your back ups. If you followed step 1, find the json you added and select it. If you skipped step 1, from "Import & Back up>Restore" select "Choose File..." Then browser for the json you want to import. Which should be in a similar location as mentioned in step 1.
NOTE: "AppData" is a hidden folder, will have to set show hidden folders to be able to see it.

You can also go on Apple's website to edit your Support Profile to delete ownership registration of your product(s).
The new user then simply registers his "new" device, also online. Once you have deleted ownership, the serial number is freed for a user (new owner) to add it. The new owner should obtain an Apple ID first.
