HT5035 Why did iphone app purchase did not use store credit balance?
I just downloaded a new app on my iphone but it asked for me to verify my billing info. I did so and then checked in iTunes and I still have a balance from a gift card. Why was the balance not used?

Why block an account simply for not using its cred...
I use Skype every couple of weeks - but I haven't needed to make a paid call for a long time. Now when I try to, I find my account has been 'blocked' - though only for paid calls. So I can't use my credit balance without jumping through Skype's 'account unblocking' hoops and waiting for you to deign to give me access to my own money.
What possibile justification is there for blocking an account like this - not for being abused, but simply for not being used?I think you may need to contact customer service to clarify why your account is blocked, and also to know what your possible options are . Purchasing gift music using store credit
I know now why I got rid of my apple ipad, if apple would be less anal and make things easy to use and allow you to use whats rightfully yours it might be a product for the future. Right, frustration over.
I used to have an Ipad, but I couldn't live with the restrictions and the apple big brother approach, so I very quickly sold it. In the time that I did have it, someone bought me a £50 iTunes card. A couple of years later and I still have half the value in credits on the Itune store. My youngest daughter, despite my warnings had acquired an iphone of her sister and I want to move MMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY credits (money) from my account to hers, but apple appear to be withholding MY money and wont let me do it. If this was a bank we would have them in court for it.
I have tried using the credits to purchase an item to gift her, but even this doesn't work. Does any one know how to do this ??
Frustrated in the UKYou can't use your account's balance to gift items, nor an amount, to another account - it can only be used to buy content for your account. You can either use the money to buy content on your account and let her use your account, or try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund your balance : iTunes Gift balances - Apple Support
You can't redeem or return iTunes Gift Cards, Gift Certificates, and unused store credit balances for cash except as required by law. If your jurisdiction allows for refund of redeemed gift balances, you can request a refund by contacting iTunes Store Support, selecting a support category and topic, and including the following information in your request detail:

Store credit refund amount

Whether that applies here in the UK I don't know. -
How can I purchase a GIFT using the credit balance in my iTunes account?
When attepting to gft an app to a friend, the iTunes store is asking for a credit card when I have a rather sizable credit in my iTunes account. ***? I don't want to pay MORE when I already HAVE plenty of money in my account!
How can I gift using my credit?That's a total CROCK!! Now I can't buy my mom a mother's day gift.

HT2534 Where did the option go to not use a credit card for Apple ID?
I downloaded itunes and began to make an Apple ID on iTunes. When I saw that it required a credit card, I came to this support site http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534. I followed the instructions for a computer but found that there was no option 'NONE' on the billing page. I then tried making an Apple ID online and that worked, but when I tried to use that ID to log on to iTunes it still required a credit card. I could only use the account for discussions. I don't have a credit card, and nor was I planning on purchasing anything. I simply wanted to keep CD's on it and maybe some free books/music. Did this option change for the new version of iTunes or am I doing something wrong?

I have a 15 dollar credit, but it still charges my card when I make a purchase instead of using my credit balance. Only on my iPhone, seems to work as designed on my iPad

Hello, guys. My problem is that I want to purchase an iPhone app that is not available in my AppStore(s). I am registered in the Japanese and Russian AppStores, and the app I want is available only in the American AppStore. Do I have to change my AppStore for this? And how can I do it? Or do I have to create a new Apple ID for the American AppStore? I tried to do the latter, but it requires a billing address located in the US, which I don't have. What are my options?

You might want to contact the developer of the app in which your interested and suggest they offer it in your country. There may be reasons they can't but if they can and they know there's interest, they just might.

1 . Added three products more to the existing in-app
2 . Tested with sanbox
i am getting the error "cannot connect to itunes store" with error code "0" when trying to purchase product in sandbox.

The recommended solution for most families is to share the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Store purchases, so you can share your purchases, but us different IDs for iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud.
