HT5051 Where are my photo albums that were on mobile me?

So I got rid of my old MacBook pro in May,haven't replaced it till now was waiting to get the new Macbook, should be here tomorrow and been living off of the new IPad. Problem is during this waiting period they close mobile me on which I had thousands of pictures stored in albums. So my question is where did all those albums go? Can I find them somewhere on ICloud?

If you had these albums synced to iPhoto or Aperture the pictures may be in there. Otherwise, unless you had also stored copied of them elsewhere, all photos and indeed other files on your iDisk in MobileMe have been deleted and are not recoverable by any means.

  • Where is the photo tab on itunes? My device is not listed on the left side of my screen and there is no photos tab on the right of my screen. I want to delete photo albums that were synced through itunes to my ipad 3.

I synced several photo albums to my iPad 3  from my computer through iTunes. Now, I would like to remove them and have discovered that they cannot be removed except through using iTunes. Instructions that I've read say that once the device is connected to and selected from the list in iTunes, select the Photo Tab and then the folder that contains the photos etc.  I never get that far because I do not have a Photo Tab to select in iTunes. How do I find this illusive tab so that I can delete these albums that are merely duplications of other pictures and are just occupying space. I need to get rid of them. Can anyone help me find the photo tab. I cannot move past that step until I do. Also, my device is not listed on the left side as stated in the instructions. It's in the bar on the upper right area of my screen and is automatically selected when connected. I am using the current version 11.1 for iTunes and IOS 7 on my iPad 3, if that helps.

I have the same problem on the latest iTunes software and Windows 7. My window is maximzed and I do not see any tab for photos. Seems related to a recent update (IOS7?) as this was there - at least before the very big change to the interface.

  • How do I view a list of my photos in iTunes?  I need to delete some photo albums that were duplicated.

I accidentally created a couple of new photo albums when I backed up or synced my phone.  Now I have hundreds of duplicate photos on the phone.  One solution I saw online said to delete them using iTunes,  but I don't actually see the photos in iTunes.  Sometimes I see a multicolored horizontal bar across the bottom of one of the iTunes screens.  It says how many photos there are, but won't display them.  Please, how can I delete the additional photo albums?  Thanks!

Connect the phone to iTunes on your computer. Click on its name. Click on the "Photos" button at the top of the screen.

  • Where are old iMovie files that were in "Movie" favorites before I got new iMovie and Mavericks?

Just installed Mavericks and bought the new iMovie.  Looked for labled finished movies folders that I had kept in Movies on my HD favorites on OS 10.6.7, but that Fave doesnt exist in Mavs.  Where can I find the labeled folders with all their working files? Some unlabeled files do exist individually in All My Favorites but seem of little help without labels.

    I meant "All My Files"

  • HT201317 where are the photo's in icloud?

I am in my icloud on a pc
    signed in etc.
Where are the photo's that are supposed to be in icloud

You can't view photo stream photos on icloud.com.  They can only be viewed on an iOS device or computer that is signed into your account with photo stream enabled.  To set this up on your PC, see http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html.  Note: when you first enable photo stream on your PC you will only get photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud.

  • TS4036 I deleated pictures from my photo stream that were in albums.  I did not know that when I deleated from photo stream they would automatically deleat from the album.  Can I get them back?

I deleated pictures from my photo stream that were placed in albums.  I did not know that by doing this I removed them from the albums as well.  Is there any way to get this photos back?

Not unless they are still in your camera roll, or backed up on your computer.  Photo stream photos are not automatically backed up anywhere.

You can't open your backups directly with apps.
But you can see some types of files in your backups.  If you're still on Snow Leopard (or Lion with iPhoto '09 or earlier), see the gray box at the end of Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #15.
If you're on Lion with iPhoto '11, you can use the Finder to see the iPhoto library, per the beginning of that same link.  All you can see there is the library and size.

  • Where are my photos on the PC after sync with an iphone?  I know nobody out there is stupid enough to suggest to me that they are encrypted and inaccessible, right?  Seriously?  How stupid would Apple corporation have to be to do something like this?

Where are my photos on the PC after synching with an iphone?  I know nobody out there is stupid enough to suggest to me that they are encrypted and inaccessible, right?  Seriously?  How stupid would Apple corporation have to be to do something like this? That would be just as foolish as making my music unusable on the PC...
Okay, Let's assume that Apple is indeed THAT foolish.......How does one get the photos from the phone to the PC and still use them?

The photos are still on your phone, and if enabled in your Photo Stream. They are not automatically transferred to your computer when syncing.

  • HT1766 Where are my photos that I backed up from my IPhone?

Where are my photos that I backed up from my IPhone on my mac computer?

You import the pictures from the phone. Windows has a built in utility to import pictures from a digital camera, or in this case the iPhone. It doesn't import from the backup, it imports them directly from the iPhone. You can go into Control Panel and click on AutoPlay to configure what happens when you plug in a digital camera or the iPhone. Otherwise, there are programs like Lawrence has described.

  • Where are my photos i backed up on i cloud

Where are the photos i backed up on I cloud?

I was not aware that transferring photographs from MM to iCloud was ever offered, are you sure. I ask because if your photographs were still in the MM Gallery when MM closed, they are gone.

  • I can't delete a photo album that was synced on iTunes.

I can't delete a photo album that was synced on iTunes.  I deselected all photo albums to sync on iTunes and the albums are still on my iPad.  I did a search for this issue and a suggestion was loading some other software onto my PC to delete them.  I'm not sure I want to do that.  The album is stuck on my iPad and iPad Mini.

Are these folders that are no longer on the computer? I see you unchecked the albums, but the sync did not change things. Try this:
In the folder where you have your pictures, create a new folder and leave it empty. Deselect all folders to sync except that one. It should remove everything else from the phone except that one folder, and since it is empty, there should be no photos left except the Camera Roll. Then you can Deselect that empty folder and sync and you should no longer have any photos synced to the device.

  • How can i delete a photo album that has been synced from another computer

I am trying to delete a photo album that I do not need anymore from an iPad 4. But the album has been synced from a computer that I don't have access to anymore. Is there anyway around this ?

Photos that were synced from a computer can only be deleted by connecting to a computer's iTunes and changing the sync selection on the device's Photos tab.
Is that the only album that was synced from that computer (and you now sync the iPad to a different computer ?), or do you have other albums from it that you want to keep on the iPad ? If you want to keep one or more albums on it then they will need to be on the computer that you sync to so that they can be selected on the Photos tab and re-copied to the iPad from that computer. If you want to remove all synced photos then try selecting and syncing just an empty folder

  • Help!!! I have many photo albums that cannot be deleted!!!

Can anyone tell me why does my iPhone 4 has many photo albums that it has created by itself? For example, everytime l took a picture using the phone's camera, the photo always have two copies in two different album. Also, it is impossible for me to delete only one of the two albums that contain the same files inside, l can only delete both of them toghther, which is not what l want. Can somebody help me in this WIERD PROBLEM please???

The iPhone does no such thing. When a photo is captured with your iPhone or saved from a received email, MMS, or website, a single copy is stored in the Camera Roll. If you have HDR enabled for capturing a photo along with keep the normal photo selected as well, two copies of the captured photo will be saved in the Camera Roll - the normal version, and the HDR version. Photos captured by the iPhone are stored on one place - in the Camera Roll. Now with Photo Stream enabled with iOS 5, a copy will be placed in the Photo Stream as well.
All photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process - selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes are stored in the iPhone's Photo Library. The folder(s) or album(s) of photos selected to be transferred will be available under Photo Library. The photos in the folder(s) or album(s) below are not duplicated. They contain a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. This way you can view the photos in a folder or album only by selecting the folder/album, or you can view all photos in all folders/albums transferred from your computer by selecting Photo Library.
    This cannot be changed.

  • Where are my photos saved, how to archive photos

    Hello,
currently I had imported photos from a camera to my MAC by using iPhoto import and event functionality. Now I would like to backup my photos by using rsync. But I can not find my photos as files on the disk.
    Where are my photos saved?
I am a new MAC user with some expirience in Unix qnd Linux.
    Thank you in advance
    Bernhard

    Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store

  • Where are my photos located?

Where are my photos from PSE 9 located; in what file can I find them.  I am making a slide show using ProShow Gold 4 and I need to access my photos from PSE and move or copy and paste them into the slide show, but I cannot find what file they are located in.
    Thanks,
    Craig

Your pictures could be anywhere, some might even be on a remote disk. Right-click on a thumbnail in the Organiser and select Properties at the bottom of the Popup Menu. In the popup window that appears the file location will be shown, clicking on the folder will open it in the Explorer.
Alternatively: in the Organiser make a selection of all the photo's you want to include in your slideshow. Then select File => Export and save to a convenient (temporary) location. This way you'll have all the photos in 1 location ready for import into your slideshow.
