HT5085 I bought music on my iPhone and cannot download from the cloud to my macbook pro.

I have done this in the past with no problem. My computer is a Macbook Pro and is activated for my itunes account. I manually search or the songs Ive bought on my iphone and can see it says purchased but its grey and not clickable. I dont understand why I cannot download them from the cloud into my computer.

Or if you want music that you buy on your phone to automatically download on your phone then you can use automatic downloads : Store tab in iTunes > Preferences (command-comma) - that will only apply to new purchases made after you turn it 'on'

I recently purchased my first Apple computer, but have been a longtime iPod user, and as of this past February an iPhone user. So upon getting my new Macbook Pro, I of course began to sync what songs I had purchased from iTunes on my old Windows computers, and iPod and iPhone, that were supposed to be stored in the Cloud. Well, as I've been importing all the physical CD's i own, I began to notice that some of my iTunes purchases hadnt downloaded from the Cloud. I know now that I am missing two full albums, as well as what I think is another 25+ single songs I've downloaded, and unfortuantely I cannot figure out how to retrieve them for the life of me. I don't have the app adn no expereince with it, but it appears basec on teh app description you may need it installed on your MAC as well to download the files.

An iOS device can only be synced with one iTunes library.

I downloaded IOS8.1 and Itunes 12.01.26, now i can not add any music to my iphone that isn't in the cloud.

I've restarted everything, resigned in and out of everything and re downloaded iTunes, ITunes won't see any music that is currently on my iPhone 5c and it will not let me put any music on my IPhone that isn't in the cloud.

Are you trying to sync with a different computer?
The iphone will sync with one computer. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases

Check your purchase history by going to the iTunes Store and then click on purchases. From there you can see all your purchase history and download what you are missing.

What?? You asked how to get all your music on your phone at once rather than downloading it to your phone from iCloud.
Go to your purchased list in iTunes and download all your music to your iTunes library, as explained in the linked article. Then sync it all to your phone using iTunes you're done. The music will be stored locally on your phone and you won't have to download it again in the future.

Syncing music but still have to download from the cloud?

I have purchased and downloaded music to my macbook. After syncing my computer and iphone via usb, the songs show up on my phone as in the cloud. Is there anyway to add/sync these songs to my iphone without having to download from the cloud? I have very spotty Wi-Fi (songs can't download) and I don't want to use cellular data.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

Moving music from the cloud to mac book pro

I want to move all my music from the cloud to my new mac book pro. can i do this without picking each song indiviually. 4000 songs.

Select all the tracks, Ctrl-click on the list and choose download from the resulting contextual menu.

I have songs that have been purchased and they show up in my I tunes but the are not showing up bold like all other songs in my library, they will not let me download from the cloud and will not load onto my ipod.

I have a handfull of songs in my library that are not showing up bold like the other songs. When I click the icon to download from the cloud nothing happens and they will not load onto my ipod. When I look for them in the purchased area they show up as purchased and downloaded.

So far as I am aware, books haven't been available for 6 years, so I'm wondering if you mean audiobooks.
Audiobooks are not currently part of the content that can be re-downloaded.
