I live in the US. I upload all my songs from my laptop using Itunes match. I then move to Japan and take my laptop with me. Will I be able to stream my songs over the cloud (not download, just stream)?

That will be no problem. I am currently doing the exact same thing. Streaming songs from my German iTunes Match subscription in Japan.
Apple doesn't restrict access to the stores based on your actual location.

My Music from iTunes Match will not sync on Apple TV

I cannot seem to get my iTune Match to sync to my Apple TV.
Selected MyMusic and get the message that it will take a few minutes depending on library size and internet speed.
Library size is big and speed is quick yet I have left this buffering for a whole day on a number of occasions and it is still buffering hours later.
ANy any help would be most appreciated.

I had the same problem. I "Reset" (not just restarted) my Apple TV and when I reconnected to iTunes Match it successfully connected and I'm able to play songs through iTunes Match. Not sure if it matters but I'm using a wired connection.

I am now in Cyprus and after synchronising my Ipad there I now can access the US Itunes Store but my purchases are refused as my account is with the French Itunes store. synchronising is not the problem i think, you need a new US apple id. i only have a malaysian credit card but i have separate ids for US UK and Malaysia. i have travelled to these 3 countries and have home adresses in each country but for buying stuff, I use an iTunes store card instead of a credit card cos its easier. you do not need a credit card that must have billing address from the same country as the iTunes store. So I would suggest if you are currently based in the US go the nearest apple store buy an iTunes store card (i buy in multiples of US$100 with a credit card) and use your current US home address as the US iTunes address.
so log off your french iTunes store account, create new US apple id for your iTunes store account using your current US address and then redeem your itunes store card and voila you are set to go. (did i mention you will also need a new separate email address for the new apple id) i have one each from gmail, yahoo and hotmail for each separate id.
the only drawback is that when you want to do an update for the apps that you buy from the different iTunes store, you must log in to that iTunes store account ie if you buy an app from the US store you must log in and update with the US store id and to update the apps from the French store you must log off from the US store and log in again with the french store id.

ICloud and iTunes Match with different Apple IDs

I won't bore you with how it happened, but I ended up with two AppleID accounts using two different email addresses, one for iCloud (upgraded from MobileMe) and one for iTunes. I enabled iTunes Match before realizing this, and now my iPhone and iPad won't work with iTunes Match. If I change the iPhone/iPad to use the iTunes account, I don't have iCloud. Can I merge two accounts? Or is there a way to change my iTunes Match to the same account used for iCloud?

I tried doing this because I have the same problem, but I can't log in to iCloud with my regular apple ID. For some reason it needs to be an email address. Any other ideas?

Why is itunes Match so different?

is itunes match different than syncing your device and computer? Also Match can hold 25,000 songs but when you play them don't you download them and put them on your device anyway?

My some of music were purchased from iTunes using several different apple IDs. Will iTunes match store them in iCloud or they will be deleted/blocked by apple? And as long as a single song file is smaller than 250 mb, it's qualify for being uploaded?

You have to subscribe to Match on your computer which has your music.
If you do not have a back up, all music is lost unless you can retrieve it from your old hard drive. If your music is on an IOS device, there are apps that will let your transfer music to your new computer.

Why can't I play purchased movies on my Apple TV? And why does iTunes match not work on my Apple TV?

I have an Apple TV (early 2012) and bought some movies in the iTunes store. Now, Apple TV doesn't let me watch my purchased content. I very well can listen to music I have bought in the iTunes store and watch the purchased movies on my iphone 6 (running the latest iOS 8) and on my MacBook Air (running the latest version of Yosemite). I can also rent movies on Apple TV and watch them - no problem at all.
The other problem I have is that I activated iTunes Match on my Apple TV. But it doesn't work either. On my Mac and on my iphone - there's no problem. On Apple TV instead there is always appearing the message, that it will take a couple of minutes to setup iTunes Match on Apple TV. Well... that is too nice to be true! It takes hours and even after that it doesn't work at all.
I checked the forums and tried different things:
1. Updating my Apple TV's software to the latest release
2. Restoring all settings of my Apple TV and taking it offline (meaning: logging out of iTunes on Apple TV and taking it off power)
3. Restarting my modem and router after half a minute break and taking it off power.
4. Setting up Apple TV again and reconnecting it with iTunes and my WLAN-router.
5. I also wanted to Airplay the screen of my MAC or iphone to Apple TV -> doesn't work (even though I can watch the movies on this two devices without any problems). Other content can be airplayed to Apple TV without any problems as well.
-> Nothing seems to work!
When I tried to play the moves the following to messages appear:
1. iTunes is currently unavailable. Try again later. (But Apple TV recognizes how much of the movie has been watched already. It indicates that it is connecting and authorizing... and after that the message above appears). OR
2. Apple TV says that the movie will be ready to be watched in two hours from now... or that you have to chose a lower resolution, if you want to watch it any sooner.
Does anyone face the same difficulties? And of course: Does anyone know any cure and salvation for my Apple TV? ;-)

There's an issue currently that a lot of us are experiencing in that we all get the error message "iTunes is currently unavailable; please try later"
It's an issue with Apple and we're awaiting an update re this
I've posted a topic in regards to this after having a long conversation with Apple support this morning and will be receiving a call from their tech team tomorrow to run through it further
As it stands iTunes cannot be accessed via ATV's and nor can it be streamed via AirPlay from iTunes to the ATV
However I can access all films/iCloud content via my Mac Mini with no issues!

Can I use iTunes Match in another country?

My UK iTunes Match subscription renewed automatically in December. I have moved to Amsterdam and don't want to change my country settings for my iTunes account, nor create a new one. My Music collection seems intact as usual, but I can't seem to complete a full download from the cloud for albums or individual tracks. Does anyone know what's happening?

Now I'd like to put everything under another existing account to make my life easier. When I try to turn on iTunes Match from that account, it just takes me to the subscribe page, where I would have to purchase it. How do I get iTunes Match switched--or added--to a different account name? I'm not about to purchase it again.

iTunes Match is not transferable, and neither are the purchases associated with your account.

ITunes Match - and my departure from Apple

I am a music enthusiats. I bought my frist CD in 1990, about 2 years before I even owned a CD Player. My cassette tape collection was in the thousands and I kne it was only a matter of time before I made the switch to the new technology. Oh ya, and I was only 12 years old at the time.
So jumping forward to 2007 my music collection was in excess of 10,000 CD's. And here comes the iPhone. Up to that point I had used non-Apple products to carry my music around not becasue they functioned better, but becasue they offered the huge capacity at much lower prices. But now I was getting older, thiking more about simplicity and the abiltiy to have everything I needed in one device. Sure I had to routinely shuffle around what music I was carrying with me, but simplicty and ease of use had become important to me.
Now jump forward even further to 2011 and the introduction of iTunes Match. What a perfect solution for me. I could now carry around almost half my library and I no longer had to shell extra money for the highest storage capacity iPhone. It was a "Match" made in heaven. In fact I was so happy I made the full switch over the next year or so. I ditched my Windows PC for a Macbook Pro. I dumped my barely funtional Logitech Revue for an Apple TV. I gave away my low end entry level Android Tablet for an iPad. Over those twelve months my house became an Apple house. And then, Apple got left in the dust......
Today, direct competitors to Apple are producing smartphones that have specs that far surpass the iPhone. Those competitors are selling media content and services that rival iTunes in quality, and beat it heavily in pricing. And that is where I stand at this point. I am at a crossroads.
But as I stated at the start, I love music. It is my biggest psychological and emotional driver in life. So my question is, can we get options for additional capacity with iTunes Match? I would pay more than $24.99 for increased capacity with iTunes Match even tthough other competitors offer more capacity at that same $24.99 price point. My subscription expires on the last day of this month. I have downloaded my collection out of iCloud in anticipation of needing to move it over to another service. And once I do that I will begin to have to make other considerations. I switched my cellphone plan to one of these no-contract options that the major carrier I'm on offers, for the purpose of bringing the monthly cost down. I'm ready for a new phone and can see very good options out there that I can pay for in full (rather than finance), which would save me a tone of money over getting a new iPhone at full price. But again, it all starts with the music for me. Financing a new iPhone because I was able to get greater storage capacity with iTunes Match is far more prefable at the moment than going with the competition.
So not to beat a dead horse, but please increase the capacity for iTunes Match, even if it means having to pay more.
