HT5085 No re-download on previously purchased TV Shows from Itunes Germany

Is there any information about why in Germany it is not possible to '(re-)download previously purchased TV Shows? It is a pain to pay for something and then not be able to download it again in case of loosing the Hard Disk Data on my Pc.

I'm having the same problem.  I purchased a SD season pass for a show and when I tried to download the newest episode I couldn't access the SD version.  When I click on the SD button nothing happens.  The only option it gives me is to download the HD version which means I would have to repurchase the episode.  I haven't had any response from Itunes support.  It hasn't been a problem in previous weeks.

I have purchased several tv series in itunes and can't access SD version to download.  It only gives me option of downloading HD version which would mean I need to repurchase.
This issue is a function of itunes not downloading current week show.  I have to do manually each time.  I am logged into account and have most current version of Itunes etc.

  • I purchased tv shows from iTunes and keep getting a download error tap to retry.

I purchased tv shows from iTunes and keep getting a download error tap to retry.  Why don't the shows download?  What can I do?

    Hello there Julfos,
I recommend this part of the article named iTunes: How to resume interrupted iTunes Store downloads found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1725.
If you cannot complete the download on your device, you can finish the download in iTunes on your computer and then sync it to your device. For instructions, see the following articles:
iTunes Store: Where can I download and sync my purchases?
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
    Additional Information
If your purchase does not resume downloading after following the steps in this article, you can also try the following steps to troubleshoot the download issue.
    Restart your computer or device.
Check for updates for your Mac or PC and install any software updates. Also, check for and install updates for any security software you may have (anti-virus, anti-malware, firewall, and so on).
If using Wi-Fi for Internet access, try using a different Wi-Fi network when downloading. If you are connecting to a home network, try restarting your Wi-Fi router. Also, check for and install any firmware updates for your Wi-Fi router. (Refer the manufacturer's website for your router to get information on updating its firmware).
If that does not resolve the issue then I recommend quitting all the apps running with this article, and trying again.
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
Perhaps even forgetting your home network and rejoining it.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected. Then tap > and Forget this Network. Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network again.
    Or resetting your network settings.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN and APN settings.

  • WHEN YOU PURCHASE RV SHOWS FROM ITUNES ARE YOU ABLE TO PUT IT ON A DVD AND WATCH ON A REAL TV?

When you purchase a TV show from itunes are you able to put it on a DVD to watch on a real TV?

Sorry, but no, you can't. The content owners won't allow Apple to allow that feature. You can back up your videos, but you cannot convert them to any other format. If you want play video/movie content purchased from the iTunes Store on your TV, you'll need to connect your computer to your TV or use an iOS device or iPod (one with video out) or an Apple TV.
    Regards.

  • Purchased TV Show from iTunes directly downloaded to iPhone 3G not playing

    Hey everyone,
I've just run into a weird issue, I just purchased & downloaded an episode of a TV show over a Wi-Fi network directly onto my iPhone 3G running the latest firmware. The download completed successfully, but when I try to play the TV Show from the iPod menu the iPhone gives me 'This movie could not be played' error message, even though everything looks ok.
I am currently on holiday in the United States (not sure if it's relevant but I have an Australian iTunes account) and do not have access to my computer to try and troubleshoot the problem properly.
Any ideas as to why this could have happened or has anyone encountered a problem like this before? I'm a bit peeved because I paid for it and have no way of re-downloading.

I curently have, and have had in the past, a simmilar problem, except that the file will begin to play (in this latest case the first 48 seconds). Then the image will freeze on a frame, the sound will stop, while the scrub bar will still count upward (says that 49 seconds have played, then 50 seconds, then 51, etc). If I try to fast forward, the frame goes black, with no sound. I can rewind to the beginning, and play the first 48 seconds all I like, but always ends on the same frame.
As I said, this is not the first episode with this has happened. I've only ever tried downloading "Hero's". The first time it happened was a season 3 episode on a second generation iphone running the then current firmware. I am currently using an iphone 3GS with version 3.1.2 firmware.

  • Can't get purchased tv shows from itunes to my ipod.

I have bought tv shows through itunes store. When I sync my ipod they do not transfer. I have a 80 gb classic ipod.

Not understanding, when i go to my tv shows tab, it brings up the ones that i have purchased, not sure where i go to change the sync settings... thanks!
Connect your iPod to iTunes. The display should change to show the Summary tab for the iPod. On the TV Shows tab there is a section that reads Sync all/X most recent/all unwatched/ etc... episodes of all/selected TV Shows/playlists. Make your choices here...

  • HT201318 if we purchased tv shows from itunes does it effect the storage space?

if we purchase 6 tv shows on itunes does it effect the storage space in the build-in storage (hard disk)?

Yes tv shows take up space on your computer.
Every file on your comptuer takes up space.
Not sure I understand your question.

  • Why can't I use cellular data on my iPad to download my purchased tv shows from iTunes to my iPad?

I purchased some tv shows onto my iTunes account to download onto my iPad, but it won't let me? Just wanted to know if there was anyway to do this or will I not be able to do so?

There is a 50 meg download limit per file over 3G/4G, so if they are larger than that then you will need to find a wifi network - the limit can only be raised by Apple with the agreement of the phone companies.

  • HT201272 i deleted a book i previously purchased and deleted from itunes

I deleted a couple of books from my account and now they dont show up as previouly purchased. when i find them in the store, i can not download them without repurchasing them.

If they are hidden are you able to unhide them : hiding and unhiding ? If you are on iOS 6 on your iPod then hiding doesn't work, and you also can't unhide items, but you should be able to see what is hidden and be able to re-download them

  • How do I purchase tv shows from itunes in Singapore where I am spending three months at a time when my apple id is registered in uk?

I have moved to Singapore with my husbands job but will only be here for 10 weeks at a time, spending 6 wks back in the uk.  My apple id is registered to uk but while I am in Singapore I would like to watch programmes that I am missing in the uk.  Unfortunately, when I try to purchase the programme I get a message saying I can't as my id is registered to uk.  How can I solve the problem of wanting to access itunes in the uk and singapore?  Would be grateful of any help.

Thanks, I did that but once you get on the singapore site, the only thing you can get are apps, blogs, and books. Do you know anything about buying gift certificates and if i bought these in singapore I could use them to view programmes here.
Thanks so much for your reply.

  • Help! I've lost purchased TV shows from iTunes

I have iTunes 7.3. I recently purchased several episodes of "The Office" from the iTunes store. Magically, they, along with almost 400+ songs disappeared. Well, they didn't disappear, but when I would double-click to play them, I got the wonderful little exclamation point, with the whole "This file cannot be found, would you like to locate it?" which, they were there, in the iTunes library, but not showing up actually in iTunes. But "The Office" episodes are gone. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any positive solutions? I've tried searching in Spotlight, in my Trash bin, but I can't find them. Please tell me that they're not all gone.

Plug your iPod into iTunes and double check your sync settings from under its TV Shows tab to make sure you have it set up to sync these new TV episodes.

Is there any particualar reason as to why TV shows are not available in the iTunes Store for Brunei?

Not all content is available in all regions.  Availability is entirely determined by the content owners.

  • Re-downloading all previously purchased songs

    Hiya,
Just wondering if there is a quick and easy way of re-downloading all previously purchased songs onto my iTunes (I have purchased a new computer and the old one is dead). I have already authorised this computer, but short of going and finding all the purchases I have made in the past, can I just re-download them to here?
    Cheers.

As Apple clearly point out in the Terms of Use / Purchase, downloads are allowed to be made once only.
You cannot download your music again, it is your responsibility to have made backups of your music files in case of loss.
Just as a record store won't replace a lost CD, Apple will not replace lost downloads.
I suggest you either transfer the music you purchased from the old computer to the new computer, or you get a copy of the music out of your last backup.
If you cannot access the old computer and you do not have a backup then do you have the purchases on an iPod / iPhone? If you do then you can connect the device to iTunes (DO NOT SYNC THE DEVICE WITH ITUNES as that would erase the content from the device). Once connected use the 'Transfer Purchases' option you will find in the file menu in iTunes.
If you have not got the music on an iPod, etc then all you can do is send a very polite and humble email to Apple using the 'Report a problem' feature in the Account area of iTunes and ask them to allow you to download all your music again. It has been known for Apple to allow this to be done, but they don't need to do so and may refuse.
If they do then you will have lost all your purchased music, your fault not theirs.

  • HT201272 re-download previously purchased TV show

I am trying to re-download a previously purchased TV show.  I do not have that TV show on my computer anywhere - I did a complete search for it. However, itunes is saying it's already on my computer. How can I re-download?

    Hello taaptar,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To download previously purchased items from the iTunes Store, please follow the directions outlined below.
    iTunes Store
Open iTunes and go to the iTunes Store.
Click Purchased in the Quick Links section.
Select the content type that you want to download (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books).
Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.
Find the item that you want to download. You can browse using the menu to the left. If you have more than 2,000 songs, you'll see Recent Purchases instead of All Songs or Albums.
Click the Download  icon next to the item you want to download.
If an item is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.
Download past purchases - Apple Support
    Cheers,
    Alex H.
