Hi Silvia,
You must go to your prefences in Itunes and select Itunes U:  Edit>Preferences>"check" Itunes U.

This should solve your problem.

  • Anyone know how I can transfer my playlist from iphone to Itunes on my laptop. Computer had crashed. I am unable to export. I had backed up songs to icloud which are now on my laptop however without the original playlists folders?

Anyone know if I can transfer my playlist from iphone to Itunes on my laptop.
I am not keen to sync my iphone to my new laptop in case it wipes out my playlist.
My Computer had crashed so I am unable to export a playlist.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello CDA ENT
I would turn off the automatic syncing so that way you can see what is on your iPhone. From there, you should be able to see what is on your iPhone and then can export out the playlists and then import them back to your library. I would also recommend backing up your iPhone before going through with this process. To export a playlist, have it highlighted then go to File > Library > Export Playlist…

Open iTunes Preferences and select the Devices tab. Select the option to prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically.

  • How can i transfer my music from iphone to itune. currently itune wouldnt allow this as i have also used my ipad? the message i get it says: the iphone is synced with another itunes library. do you want to erasethis iphone and sync with this itune?

an iphone can be synced with one itune library at one time. erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iphone with the contents of this itune library!!
apple..... ypu sale these gadgets which i love but I dont want to earse the music on my iphone i would like to save them into my library, how can i do this? most of the music i have bought and i dont want to loose any of it!!!
    Please someone help me.

The iphone is not a storage/backup device.  The sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The exception is itunes purchases:  File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your other library/computer, or your backup copy, to your new library/computer

  • How do I sync a voice memo from iphone to itunes?

I'm trying to sync a voice memo on my 3Gs before I set up my 4Gs but even when I select sync voice memos under Music in itunes it doesn't show up in itunes.  I have two memos;  one syncs, the other stays only on the iphone!
What am I doing wrong?  It's too long to send as an email.

  • How do you get voice memos from iphone onto itunes with MANUAL sync?

Ok, the iphone voice record function... I can't get the voice memos onto itunes or my computer. I don't use the autosync function, I like to manage my music and such manually.
I cannot find a way to manually access the voice memos on my iphone through itunes. Many of them are too large to email so I'm stuck.
The only option seems to be auto-sync, and if I do turn on the sync function at this point, itunes will completely erase my iphone and the voice memos I've recorded on it. Kind of defeats the purpose.
    Any tips?
I've looked at a lot of posts and haven't found anything to help here. Just a bunch of posts complaining about how bad the voice recorder feature is integrated into the new iphone 3.0 software.
    i'm using a 32gb 3gs.

Sorry for bumping an old topic, but I'm not quite sure if there is a solution to this.
I have the same desire as OP, but yet I do not see my voice memos automatically syncing when I have manual sync selected. I also do not see a playlist folder or anything that indicates voice memos have transferred. Am I missing something? Is there no way to get voice memos onto the computer without having to autosync it?
If someone can provide more details on how to do this, that'd be great. But it seems at this point that I cannot get voice memos onto my computer through iTunes with manual sync on.

  • Transfer content from iPhone to iTunes

Today I downgraded my mac system from Yosemite back to Mavericks. I did a completely clean install.
Now, my iPhone is full of data (photos, iTunes U content, audiobooks, apps) and I don't know how to synchronize this with a new library in iTunes.
Anything I want to sync says that it will erase content on my iPhone but that is definitely not I want. I already transferred purchases (this synced apps but no other content). How can I make iTunes cooperate with iPhone? How can I copy all the data from my iPhone to the iTunes library?
    Thanks

    Two ways:
#1 (the best) you can no longer do because it sounds like you didn't make a backup of your iTunes library before doing all this or what you are trying to do would not be necessary.
#2 is buy third party commercial software which lets you transfer items from a phone to a computer.  This will only restore the media files and may not always do a very good job of it.  Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss.  To use a device with a different setup you transfer the old library from a computer or a backup directly to the new setup, not the device to the library. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.  See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • TS3999 How to sync calendars in iCloud from iPhone to iPad

I have a new iPad. I have synced my iPad/iPone to iCloud. but my calendar from my iPhone is not showing up on my iPad, or in iCloud, when I pull it up online. Please advise.

Ok, back now.  Migrating your Google calendar to your Mac is even easier than I thought.  This video will show you how to do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvFiKn_guEw&feature=player_embedded.
Once you've migrated your calendar to your Mac, if you have OS X 10.7.4 or later you can enable iCloud syncing for your calendar (as well as other data) by setting this up as shown here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/mac.html.  Once you set this up on your Mac and turn Calendars syncing to On your newly imported Google calendar will import to your iCloud account, and be reflected on your phone if you have Settings>iCloud>Calendars set to On.  Before syncing doing this you should turn off syncing with your Google Calendar though as trying to sync with both iCloud and Google can create problems.
If you don't have OS X 10.7.4 or higher you'll have to sync your new calendar from your Mac to your phone using iTunes.  To do this, first go to Settings>Mail,Contacts>Calendars>Default Calendar and confirm that you have selected your iCloud calendar as your default.  Then connect your phone to iTunes on your computer, click on the name of your phone on the left side, go to the Info tab to the right, check Sync Calendars, then further down under Advanced...Replace Information on this iPhone, check Calendars.  Then click on Apply at the bottom to Sync your phone.  This will replace the calendar on your phone with the calendar on your Mac.  Once on your phone, if you have the calendar on your phone, if you have Settings>iCloud>Calendars set to On the calendar will upload to your iCloud account.  (As mentioned earlier, before syncing doing this you should turn off syncing with your Google Calendar as trying to sync with both iCloud and Google can create problems.)

  • How do I delete songs & podcast from iPhone using iTunes on new MacBook Pro

I have recently bought a new MacBook Pro after years of using PC.
First thing I have to say is that I love it. I've had a couple of problems here-and-there but these have been teething issues which these discussion boards have mostly helped me resolve... I have been unable to resolve this one issue though which I was hoping that someone could help me with....
I have plugged my iPhone into my new Mac and let it appear in iTunes but when I attempt to delete old songs or podcasts from the iPhone it does not let me delete them... I've tried holding control and clicking on the items- hoping that delete would be an option, but it isn't. Also I've notice that delete is not one of my options in the edit tab at the top of iTunes.
I understand that I can delete individual podcasts and albums/songs through the iPhone itself by swiping right and selecting delete but when I do this for All individual episodes of a podcast then the main header for the "show" still remains...
Would love if someone could help me with this- need to be able to manage the songs and podcast on my iPhone.
    Thankyou for your time.

"Ok- but what if I want to manually manage the songs and podcasts on my iPhone and somehow loose access to the computer which I used to put said songs and podcasts on the iPhone in the first place?"
The you would ned to use the backup copy of tht computer to put everything on the new computer.
"  Is there a way in which I can manage/delete the content on the iPhone using my new computer without retoring it to factory settings and starting all over again?"
You do not have to restore it, but you cannot access the music at all from this other computer until you sync it, which will erase the content.
"And just to clarify: I don't have any problems with playing the content that remains on my iPhone, it's just the managing and deleting of this content."
    I understand completely.
You need to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

  • How to copy (edited) voice memos from iphone to itunes

This is a similar question to one that I have already asked, perhaps simpler, though. Imagine I have just recorded a voice memo on iphone: how do I copy it to itunes? Is it done via backup or via sync, and with what options turned on/off? Does it work even if I edit (trim and/or rename) the voice memo on the phone before copying it?
    Thank you.

I was having a similar issue and I if I understand correctly, I think this is a solution for others..
in itunes with iphone plugged in, go to summary tab. click "manually manage music.." and apply. Then go to "on this phone tab" and you can actually physically delete the voice memo playlist or individual voice memos. This appears to have finally worked for me..or at least the voice memos playlist doesn't persist under the "on this phone tab" anymore....not sure it made a huge difference in my iphone available space.

  • How do I copy my music from Iphone to itunes?

I have done a clean install of windows and have therefore lost my lists on itunes. I still have the music on my iphone but wish to add more music to iphone, is there a way i can do this without losing whats already on the iphone?
When I try "Transfer Purchases" in itunes it only seems to be one way (from pc to iphone)
    plz help

I was thinking the same, like why you didn't keep a copy of all your music and such on a external, or flash drive.
If it wasn't purchased through iTunes, you won't be able to put it back on your PC, you will have to go download your music collection all over again from where-ever you got it. The only things that will transfer from your iPhone to your PC is what you have purchased from iTunes (Apple INC.)

  • How to sync or transfer contacts from iPhone 4, Ma...

Perhaps this is unusual, but I've gone from an iPhone to Symbian (to get the 808's camera).  I've got hundreds of contacts on my iPhone 4, my Mac, and evidently also in iCloud.  I haven't found a path from any of those to my new Nokia PureView 808 though.  Is there a recommended way to synchronize or transfer contacts from the world of Apple into the 808?  Or even a non-recommended way?
