HT5114 i cant link my ipad to my computer as far as link my music

how to download music to my desk top frop ipad

You should be able to copy iTunes purchases from your iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. If the music came from other sources (e.g. copied form CDs or bought from other sites) and you don't have it on your computer nor on a backup, then there are a number of programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

    1. Connect your iPad to your computer with a cable.
    2. Open iTunes if it does not open manually.
    3. Select (highlight) your iPad under "Devices" in the pane on the left-hand side.
    4. Configure the music that you want to sync.

  • I cant sync my ipad and my computer what is the problem

I have an ipad and am trying to sync my firefox to my ipad. It doesnt give me specific instructions on how to do this. Can you help me?

    Hi AptekaJ,
There is no ''true'' version of Firefox for IOS. There is a really cool app called Firefox Home though. Take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[What is Firefox Home]]. It will give you some information on what the app does. If you are interested, [[How to set up Firefox Home on your iPhone]] will show you how to get up and running.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • I cant sync my ipad

I cant sync my ipad to my computer. How can i move ipad data, calendars and such, to another computer?

Is your original computer fried and no longer usable?
If you do not have a backup of your iTunes library on DVD or an external drive, you either have to start from scratch, meaning load all of your photos onto the new laptop, (if you have the photos stored elsewhere) and do the same with the music. In the U.S. you can download all of your purchased music again for free with the iCloud feature available in iOS 4.3. You would have to import any music from CD again that you had in iTunes as well.
There is a software available called iPad Transfer that claims to be able to transfer your iPad contents onto a computer. Your photos will not be in the original resolution from what I understand but I really no nothing about this application. You can read about it here.
    http://www.ipad-transfer.com/
There also data recovery services that you can look for as well. I have no idea what they entail and what they may cost but I think you can retrieve you contents that way as well.

  • Plugged my iPad into old computer now my cord won't let me charge ?

Ok we have 3 iPads in our house.
My son plugged the iPad into a computer and was able to put music on through  iTunes .
Now when I try to use that cord with the wall charger it doesn't seem to work?
It still works for transferring data from the computer. But refuses to charge it.
    Any ideas?
I also tried another cord and it's doing the same thing, now we are down to 1 charging cord for 3 iPads , not cool :(
    Any ideas?

    Yeah it's weird.
I did reset the iPad/s with home and power button. Didn't work :(
They worked fine until I plugged them into the computer.
They now won't charge any iPad :(
I appreciate all the ideas and suggestions .
    Thank you

It's unlikely that hackers are the problem, but there's no way of knowing for sure. In the meantime, you've done exactly the right thing: create a new Apple ID (or change the password on your old ID.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

  • HT201210 i cant update my ipad it say h drive is invalid i dont have an h drive

i cant update my ipad it say h drive is invalid i dont have an h drive

Your iPad will read a an external device (drive) when connected to the PC, and Windows will assign it a letter. If you use several Flash Drives, like I do, you may discover that drive letters get jumbled around a lot.
In your "Computer" window the iPad should be listed as a removable device. Check the letter assigned to it. Whatever that letter is, is the one you need to be updating to. You may need to change the letter of the iPad using the Disk Management utility":
    Here's How:
Click on the Start button and then choose Control Panel.
Click on the System and Security link.  Note: If you're viewing the Large icons or Small icons view of Control Panel, you won't see this link so just click on the Administrative Tools icon and skip to Step 4.
In the System and Security window, click on the Administrative Tools heading located near the bottom of the window.
In the Administrative Tools window, double-click on the Computer Management icon.
When Computer Management opens, click on Disk Management on the left side of the window, located under Storage.  After a brief loading period, Disk Management should now appear on the right side of the Computer Management window.
Note: If you don't see Disk Management listed, you may need to click on the |> icon to the left of the Storage icon.
You can now partition a hard drive, format a hard drive, change a drive's letter, or do whatever else you need to do in Windows 7's Disk Management tool.
