Try to download your MobileMe galleries directly from the Internet:
Go to the System/MobileMe preference pane
Press the button,Visit me.com,
this will bring you to your MMe galleries and you can download the photos from there.
Usually this direct way will be faster.
To be able to use Aperture again, don't press the ok. button, when the MM panel appears, but the "learn more". then you can open the "File" menu in Aperture and use the "Web Accounts" menu entry to "Edit Web accounts" and disable MobileMe in Aperture by deleting it from the accounts list.

I am NOT able to switch it on; when connected to power supply, the battery icon comes in but no signs of charging.

Thanks.You are correct. This is a very bad hardware error of the WiFi Chip on the Logic Board. The Chip malfunctioned or was previously damaged, but the initialization error was not detected until you Update/Restore the iPhone recently. The Problem was there, just not detected yet. The repair or replacement of the WiFi Chip is very difficult. Because Apple does not repair iPhone 4S, they only replace iPhone 4S, it costs $199.

This order no is for subscription of Adobe Captivate 8. In order to install subscription you need not to enter any serial key .During the installation it will prompt you to enter your Adobe Id and it will validate your subscription after validating your Adobe Id from the server. Turn it off.
Start it up again and (at the sound of the chime) press and hold the command and the R keys, hold them down until Recovery loads. When it does you will select Disk Utility and you should be on the First Aid tab when it opens, if you are not please select it. Then select the partition (in the side bar, 2nd entry on the list, see picture).
Yours is probably called Macintosh HD.
Once you have selected it go to the lower righthand corner of the First Aid dialog and press Repair Disk.
This will take 10 minutes approximately. Post back when it is finished and tell me what it says. -

I have a 3rd generation ipod nano. I recently upgraded to Lion which is causing lots of issues. Aside from that, I went to the Itunes store to purchase books like I have done at least 100 times before with no problems. Now I can by the book and get it to my computer, however when I tried to download the book to my 3rd generation ipod the dialog box informed me that to download any new audiobook purchases I would need an ipod touch. My ipod nano 3rd generation serves my purposes just fine. Why should I be forced to buy something I do not want just to continue something I have always done seamlessly? I know this is more of a rant than a question but I am sure someone else out there has had this happen to them. Maybe you could share your thoughts on how to work around this issue if possible?
I forgot to add the last obvious and crucial step I had taken - plugging a different iPod into my system. It was also not recognized. That was the final proof I needed to determine if the problem was device or system. But now what?
