I suggest that you clone your current drive with 10.6.8 to an external drive. If you have any issues after upgrading to Mavericks, you can boot back into 10.6.8.
Both of these applications can be used to create a clone. If you need help creating your clone, let us know.

BtSport app will not cast to the new Google Nexus ...

I am having problems casting to the new Nexus Player from my iOS devices. It should have been as easy as casting to the Chromecast but unfortunately the app is unable to connect to my nexus player.
I did a complete reset of my player but I am still experiencing the same problem. The YouTube app though from the same iOS devices casts with no problems.
Is it something that can be fixed?

I have this 31% issue too - when I attempt to update my iPhoto library to the new Photo app.
I have a few libraries - one on my mac, and two on a NAS. I access the NAS via wifi.
The mac based library did update, but the two network albums have yet to be successfully migrated over to Photo.

It sounds like you are wanting to update the Apps that were synced over from your computer to your new iPhone 5s. If you are clicking Updates in the App Store in the bottom right corner, would you mind clarifying what happens when you are trying to update them?

2.2.1 is not the latest available for any ipod touch.
Is yours the original ipod touch?

This has been happening to me as well with an iPad 3 running iOS 8.1. This is what I do and it works for me. Toggle the setting for Multitasking Gestures off and then on again, Settings>General>Multitasking Gestures>Off. Then toggle it on again.
I have to repeat the sequence from time to time as I have not found a permanent fix. I think that iOS 8 is by far the buggiest iOS release that I have used since I have owned an iOS device.

Basic troubleshooting from the Users Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

AME will not update to the new release

AME will not update to the new release. Tried from the help menu in both AME and Premiere. It Fails each time I try. Is this a known issue. I was not able to update AE or Premiere from the CC app manager. I had to update those both from the update item in the help menus of each program. What is going on?

I did run into download issue yesterday where CC tried to download patches for a few apps at the same time and it failed to download. I suspect the servers that patches reside on were busy. When I tried it a few hours later, it worked.

Hi, I'm helping StringSinger2 with this problem.
The previously installed version is Pages 3.0.3 (the same as from iWork 08). This version (Pages 3.0.3/iWork 08) is incompatible with Pages 5.
That is why it would be helpful to install iWork 09, which is the version between the two. It will open the older 08 files, and its saved files are readable by the new Pages5.
SO...
When I try to install iWorks 09 from my retail DVD the error message is "the installer is damaged". (I know the dvd is good, I installed iWorks09 to my laptop today.) Is the "installer" part of the system files? And - If that is damaged is there a patch for that?

@glennhaste, the public pages I visited seem identical in IE8 and Fx10, but you may be referring to a part of the site that requires logging in (impossible for non-customers to view).
Since the problem is so recent, can you recall any changes you made in Firefox, or are you aware of any changes your CU made on its site?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
Firefox > Preferences > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, "right-click" and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies" (''Sorry, I don't know how you right-click on a Mac'')
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer.
Attempts to sync an iDevice to a new computer will remove all content from the device and replace it with content from the new, empty library.

There are several other similar posts in this forum with the answers. Your post appears third in my Google search today looking for a solution so I thought I'd add the solution here as well.
It is obviously a bug in either (or both) Firefox and the NYT.
The quickest solution is to simply go to the VIEW Menu in Firefox, then the ZOOM option and choose RESET.
I use Mac and this happens in Firefox 3.6.10. It does not happen in other browsers like Safari, Chrome and Camino, and it did not occur before last week.
It has also occurred in the iOS version of Safari on iPad. Not sure how to fix it there.
