Words w friends won't go to landscape orientation in iOS 7. Restarted app, restarted pad, reinstalled app. No good! Any suggestions?
Least your Words with Friends is on your ipad mine is gone. Likely have to install back up at home later.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. On my IPad Words With Friends has frozen. I have double clicked on the home button and identified the WWF icon. When I press and hold or swipe vertically the icon darkens but does not shake or bring up the minus sign. Any suggestions?
Force close apps
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view
2. Swipe the app's windows upwards to close
3. The app will fly off the screen

Disable badges for Words With Friends?
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if any of the folks in this community know how to disable badges for Zynga's Words With Friends. I would prefer not to have the badge telling me how many outstanding moves I have pop up at all. I've disabled all the notifications for the Words With Friends app, and yet they still appear.
Thank you for any help you can provide!I have a similar problem with CardStar. It displays an icon badge that I would like to disable, yet there is not setting in the app to disable it, and it doesn't appear in the "Notifications" section of the Settings app either. Since badges and notifications are supposed to be centrally managed in the Settings app now, I consider it Evil that an app can display a badge and not have it be subject to user settings. Is this app exploiting a API loophole or just legacy behavior that will go away? At least I won't need CardStar any more once I get iOS 6 and the Passbook app.

Why won't Words With Friends open in Firefox but works fine with IE?
The game "Words with Friends" worked fine until firefox update and Words with Friends new version. Now it will not open. Tried all the support suggestions to no avail. Then I tried it through IE and it works fine.

Why won't words with friends download?
It keeps saying "the item you tried to buy is no longer available". I purchase the app months ago but I want to re-download it as it was not working properly.
I am experiencing the same problem. It became apparent when I updated my apps this morning. I received the "The item you tried to buy is no longer available" and only "Words with Friends" failed to update. 14 other apps updated without problem. I have tried the solutions mentioned above, but the problem persists and I receive the error every time I attempt to update or download "Words with Friends". I suspect that this must be a problem with the "Words with Friends" app and not a more generalized issue.

Facebook "Words with Friends" Tiles won't move - MAC computer

I've had this problem for several months.
The letter tiles in Words with Friends in Facebook no longer move.
They move in other browsers (Safari, Chrome) but no longer with Firefox. Other Facebook games work but I cannot move the tiles in Words with Friends.You can manage the certificates in the Preferences > Advanced > Certificates > View Certificates
However looking in the lists of each, I cannot find a certificate for words with friends of Facebook, I may not be useful there.
However this bug for the error seen in the console: [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430703] says that OpenSSl became stricter, but this is an old bug.
Today the error was different, but the page still loaded:

Words with Friends official dictionary?
I've been using a combination of dictionary.com and m-w.com (merriam-webster) to look up words I've seen people use and I've stumbled upon for Words with Friends. However, neither of them are all-encompassing. Even the official Scrabble website's dictionary seems a bit off. Either the word does not exist in the dictionary or does exist but won't go through in Words with Friends. What dictionary does this game actually use?
What are you babbling about? I AM checking the validity of words. I am not using anagram solvers or any of that stuff. Might want to show some civility and learn to read before accusing people of cheating. My post never claimed to do anything more than word lookups. Not to mention half the words played are strange two or three letter words that I want to look up but can't find on the websites I listed. That includes words that go through when I am randomly trying to make words and seeing if they go through and want to learn what the word means but finding nothing on dictionary websites. And there are a lot of oddities with the dictionary used with this game. Just today, I put in the word MONDAY and it didn't accept. If the word MONDAY isn't in the English language, I don't know what else is.

ipad mini words with friends keeps locking up and I have to delete the app and reinstall to get it to work again. Is there a more permanent fix
Try rebooting your iPad. Press and hold BOTH the power and home butons a the SAME time until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons. Your iPad will restart and you won't lose any data or settings.

I play Words with Friends HD Free on my I pad. The game locked up and I deleted from my I Pad. When I tried to download it from purchased or free downloads it won't download. I had done this before but not since updating to IOS 7.02. I need help please.
I don't know if this will work but it's worth a try. Sign out of your iTunes account on your iPad, restart the iPad and sign back into your account.
Go to Settings>Store - tap on your Apple ID and tap on sign out. Restart your iPad and then sign back in via Settings>Store - tap on sign in and enter your email and password. -

First you need to research all the problems people are having with the higher OSX versions, & make sure you have a bootable clone of what you have just in case.
then you must get 10.6 if they still have it, install it & update to 10.6.8 so you have the App Store to buy & download the huge 10.8 Installer.

I am trying to use Words with friends on my iphone 5. How do I get rid of "Connect to itunes to Use Push Notifications
Reading some older threads from 2012 and 2011 it appears the problem was present even then. Part of the problem was due to people using multiple or different account id's on the various devices. In my case, I only have one ID and it is the same on all devices yet the iPhone and iPad are still throwing the same error when I try turning on iTunes Match. This is very frustrating . . . any help out there? Thanks.
