I believe you will find you can again sync Photos if you delete the "iPod Photo Cache", but predict that any subsequent attempt will fail. In my case, the enxt sync removes all the photos again - I've seen other reports of error messages upon sync. Mine just fails silently. :-)

I can tell you how to do this but first wanted to be sure that's what you want to do. You would then be sharing the same iCloud account and any synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.) would then be merged and the merge data would appear on her phone and your iPad (i.e., you'll end up with each other's contacts on your phone). You would also both be backing up your devices to the same account, sharing the 5GB of free storage (assuming you're both backing up to iCloud).
There's an alternative setup that would allow her to set up your iCloud account on her phone as her primary account and just turn on photo stream in that account (allowing your to share you photo stream), then set up a secondary iCloud account on her phone that would sync her Mail, Notes, Contacts, Calendars and Reminders. She would still have to back up her phone to your account, as well as syncing Safari, Documents and Find My iPhone (all of which can only be done in the primary account). Also, her mail would be fetch, not push as push email is only supported in the primary account.
I suppose a third option is to leave things as they are and share you photos with each other using shared photo streams.
Let me know what you want to do and I'll give you the steps.

You are correct. There is no other way to recover this material, and yes it would have been a good idea to backup the iPhone prior to the restore. Remember that a restore to a previous date deletes everything on the device and puts it back to the state of things on the date you choose. The texts and contacts would be gone. Did you possibly sync the contacts with a supported application on the computer? That is the only other way to recover contacts. They are designed to be synced with a supported application on the computer, or with a cloud service such as iCloud, Google or Yahoo.

If i try to turn the phone on, it keeps telling me to connect to iTunes. Once I do, it asks me to restore, i click restore, but it keeps on freezing at the screen. What is the problem? Error 1603 comes up. Followed the link to apple's page but nothing that was said there worked.

Before you panic, try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

I have the same exact problem.
I put an iPod shuffle on the Bose system, it plays just fine.
My iPhone 4s works just fine connected to my car stereo.
My iPhone 4s on the Bose will charge, it "thinks" it's playing, song shows, time line shows it's playing, can pause if I touch the phone's screen.
The remote for the Bose WILL NOT pause it, forward to next song, etc. It does work with the iPod shuffle.
So it's not the Bose, it's not connections, it's the iOS 7.1.1
Everything worked fine before, any one else have suggestions?

I know the importance of saving and updating your contacts. What type of phone do you have? If you are using Backup Assistant, you have the ability to sync the contacts between your laptop and phone. You will also be able to see if all your contacts are stored on the online portion of the application versus the phone itself. The contacts should be the same for both online and the phone.

How do I kill my daugter's iphone so I can switch the responsible itunes account?

I made the mistake when setting up my daughter's iPhone4 (verizon) of setting it up in my wife's iTunes account. I've now created correct account, but even when I restore phone, it still reverts to my wife's iTunes account. I've read the support forum - there seems to be no way to switch applicable accounts (and I'm willing to lose and pay again for the apps), so I just want to kill the phone so it is a virgin phone to be set up the way it was before I started to set it up. How the heck do I do this? And, why the heck has it never dawned on Apple that we users are dumb enough to need to do this? I don't want to use a sledgehmmer - I want the phone to work (albeit as a new one) once it is rebuilt in iTunes.

Idea's (Try 1 first, then 2 and then 3):
1. On the iPhone go to Settings App>Store>Tap your wife's Apple ID, and then tap "Sign Out">Tap sign in, using an existing Apple ID (the new one you created for your daughter)
3. On the iPhone go to App Store>Tap the "Featured" tab>Scroll to the bottom and tap your wife's Apple ID>Tap "Sign Out">Tap "Sign In" or downloaded any random free App like FaceBook or Skype.
3. On the iPhone go to Settings App>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings
(Make sure when you connect it to iTunes, iCloud or otherwise you set it up as a "New iPhone" rather than a restore)
Note: When you "Restore" the iPhone, it's also restoring the Settings and Preferences, so it will restore the account, Apple ID, settings and stuff like that. Set it up as a "New iPhone", and try again.

I am curious as IIRC (but forgot where the article is on the Internet),
if a touch surface is wanted to be able to detect more than 1 touch point at the same time,
then that touch surface needs adding 1 more conductive(?) layer.
(e.g. 2 points -> 2 layers, and so on)
So I wonder how many these layers are on the iPhone / iPod touch / iPad or even the trackpad on every MacBook (Pro).

Talked to Apple tech support and my service provider. This is the worst operating system ever! Do not upgrade to it. I will never upgrade to a new operating system on my iPhone again. May just start buying Samsung now.
