HT5295 Has the "get more episodes" link gone away with the new ios podcast app? If I want another episode of a podcast, I have to exit the app and go to itunes and search for the show and episode?
Do I really need to navigate out of the app to simply download a new or different episode in the Podcast app? Was a simple one touch before, but maybe I am missing something.
Nevermind, I realize you must the have subscription button (in settings) turned to 'on' in order to manage/DL episodes.

Two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates. Use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist.
There is also my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.

Why has "get more episodes" disappeared from the Music App in iOS5
Since I upgrade to iOS5 I have noticed 2 "downsides" to the "iPod" replacement app "Music".
Firstly the "get more episodes" has disappearwed from the podcast pages as has the symbols as to which track is playing or is unplayed.
Apple please may we have these facilities back?
Rgds, RobinI don't care for the changes to "music", formerly "ipod", app either. Even the icon color is a bit much compared to the old ipod icon.
I really miss the "get more episodes" and hope it will be back soon. It is a good feature, and one I used every day.
The format is harder to work with.
If one podcast is playing or loaded and paused, I don't seem to be able to activate a different podcast.
All but one or two of the podcast icons just show music note instead of podcast picture.
Button to switch back to list of podcast episodes seems to be gone as well.
Missing the played/unplayed as well.
There is no 30 second replay button on the broadcast as far as I can tell.
I seem to be getting all episodes listed on a podcast page, but not all of them are even loaded.
IOS5 didn't really improve the podcast format/experience, but has made it less user-friendly. IMO -
I can't get my ipod touch to sync with my new computer. My old one died. I downloaded itunes and installed music but the ipod will not sync with this new computer. What do I do?

Yes.
On their iOS devices, under Settings>iTunes & App Store, they should use your Apple ID. When they log into iCloud, iMessage and Facetime, they should use their personal Apple IDs. -
I understand that with my Photoshop/Lightroom 9.95 subscription I can activate two "machines". Do I have to include my iPad and Android cell phone, both of which have LR Mobile installed, or can I just count my desktop and the laptop I'm getting ready to purchase?

Podcast 'get more episodes' no longer works
Hi,
I download podcasts directly to my iPhone, however I have noticed in the last week Apple has made this harder.
It used to be that if you pressed 'get more episodes' you would get a list of podcast episodes which you could then download. Underneath this seemed to do the following:
1) iPod application displayed 'get more episodes'
2) once link pressed, Safari opens goes to a certain link that then redirects to
3) iTunes, which then opens listing the podcasts, allowing you to download
Now it seems to do the following;
1) iPod application displayed 'get more episodes'
2) once link pressed, Safari opens goes to a certain link that displays an iTunes preview window, listing the podcast episodes in HTML form, which you cannot play or download.
So now, I have to go to the iTunes app on the iPhone, search for the podcast, select it, see the episode list, and then download it there.
Anyone else have this problem?
Know if it firmware version specific?

IPad podcasts " get more episodes" function gone ?
Hi all,
Not sure if I have missed something but after the ios5 update(?) on my ipad2 podcast support / functionality seems to be reduced.
- the " get more episodes " option has disappeared for each podcast
- " podcast" media type has been moved to the more section, with no option to customize.
The only way to get additional podcasts seems to be individually via iTunes and manually search for each podcast. If this is the case then this process for me is a significant step backwards.
Hopefully I am missing something.
Ps. Is there anyway to roll back to an old firmware. (4.3.3 ?), can it still be downloaded.

MathewI really would like to go back to older version instead of os5. They have ****** up my podcasts and i am ******. when I tap on the podcast playlist it doesn't play.
Then when I get it to play by first starting the podcast in another apt then coming back into the apple app, the podcasts don't play consecutively. WHAT KIND OF A **** IS THAT!!!
Was it because Steve Job passed away why apple is all ****** up now?

Get more episodes is gone in iOS 5
A large part of what I use my iPad for is listening to podcasts. One important part of this has been the "Get more episodes" that was present in iOS 4 that would allow me to...get more episodes...without having to hunt down the podcast all over again in the iTunes store.
I'm hoping that this feature has just been moved, and not simply removed. If so, I'd like to request that it be brought back. This makes my iPad less useful than it was before. It makes it more important that I have a computer to plug this into, not less. The cord is not cut.First, sorry to say and I know that I am in the minority but I don't listed to music on the iPod. I use I-Heart-Radio to listen to talk radio, watch videos, and listen to podcasts.
This is also a feature that I have used quite a bit and while I understand that IF the podcast has been subscribed to, and IF you are within range and connected to your wireless network, and IF the iPad is plugged in, and finally IF you sync the iPad, you can update your subscriptions.
Wouldn't it be so much nicer if the "More" button as still there?
I love my iPad, I mean really love it! I am a converted PC user and I just can't get enough of it. I would really like to know from the Apple higher ups why items like this AND SIRI were left out of the iPad revision of IOS 5? I just can't buy the "processing power" reason.
Enough of this, please bring back the "More" button for podcasts.

I can not store all my Music on my internal Macbook pro hard drive so I am storing it on a large external drive connected to my airport extreme (2 TB drive plugged into the USB port). I see the drive on my laptop and I can add and delete files no problem. How do I get Itunes to search for the music here with out trying to copy it to my laptop's hard drive? I don't have enough space to do that.
How did you move the music to the external drive? What exactly is on the drive? The entire iTunes folder or only music? If it is the entire iTunes folder you can do the option+start suggestion earlier. All synced media that is not already in the iTunes library on the second computer will be erased. This second computer will be your syncing computer

I installed the new google maps app and I am unable to make it work because it says, cannot reach server. I have a iphone 4 with 6.0.1 up to date. Please advise where I can locate to check if my location is turned on.
i found a solution for this issue when google maps shows you an empty map error message cannot reach server. Click on the icon next to search and you are supposed to be presented with your profile, if not u will have an empty space. click on that space, then the "gear " Icon and logout.
restart your iphone then strat google maps again and log back in.
apparently this is happening when you change your google acount password or enble or disable 2 step verification. -
I keep trying to purchase something in the iTunes Store but it comes up with "Your account is temporarily unavailable" "Store unable to access my account info" But I have checked my account info and everything is up to date.
I have some money from a card still on my account that I would like to use.This has been an issue with some users for close to 24 hours now. I've been getting the error for the last 5 or so hours myself.
Having problems is understandable, it happens. and if this is related to the iCloud hack reported yesterday it is good to know Apple is trying to fix the issue.
But it sure would be nice if there was an official statement from Apple concerning this. -

DetailsWhat you should see on a restart is a black screen followed by a screen with the Apple (at which point you let go of the two buttons). There is no progress bar, just the Apple. The Apple will stay there for 15 seconds or so, then the "Slide to Unlock" screen will redisplay.
But, I don't think the reset will fix it for you. I just tested it, and it comes back on with the zoom still on. The only way to get it to zoom out is the tapping with the 3 fingers.
I said to double-tap....MY BAD! You need to triple-tap with three fingers!
Try that and see if it will display the zoom menu for you, or if it will zoom back out.
