    This is to report the problem i encountered when i updated my Ipad mini to the new IOS 8.1..
    After the update my Ipad restart and after that it appears a picture that need to connect to itunes and need  to restore. So i connect it to itunes and wait to restore my ipad mini because it is not opening.
    After restoring it my ipad is now opening and it is like new that i need to set up again.
    I set up again until i reach the apple id and password.
    I put my below apple ID and password to unlock my ipad but it didn't work. The message i receive is "the apple ID cannot be used to unlock this Ipad.
    What will I do? Please help.

    1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
    2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.
    Is your iPad working?

    The people on these boards aren't Apple Support and can't do that for you. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

    If you do not know whether you have a backup or not, then you DO NOT have a backup.  I'm assuming you have not been running Time Machine, nor any other backup utility.
    and then i dont know what to write to get me into the right directory
    Shell initialization files (.bash_profile, .bashrc, etc...) go in your home folder.  The environment variable $HOME contains the path to your home folder.  The commands I gave you will edit the file in the correct directory.

    To give any editing advice, we need to know what you "REALLY" want to accomplish, especially if you have little or no command line knowledge.
    Why are you in the Terminal in the first place?
    Why are you trying to edit .bash_profile and/or .bashrc?
    What do you hope to accomplish when everything is done?
    If you are following someone else's instructions, what are they?  Post them here, or give a simple pointer (and by simple, I mean we are volunteers, so we do not want to spend hours digging in some web site to find the instructions, so make our job easy, so we can make it easy for you).

    We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
    If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then the steps half-way down this page will give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

    When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

    My problem is that I had my account in Egypt store I subscribed wiz a credit card which was expired by time I moved to United Arab Emirates I got a new mini pad I want to reinstall my purchases on my new mini iPad and I am not able to due to billing information problem cuz my credit card is expired and I tried using my brother credit card to solve this issue but it doesn't work to cuz now I am in UAE and credit card should be from Egypt I went to virgin store to buy iTunes card but it doesn't work too.
    I want to reinstall my purchases again
    Hope your support I am stucked for this issue for more than 3 months

    We are fellow users here on these public forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove the gift card number from your post (hopefully nobody else will have redeemed it onto their account).
    The lack of punctuation makes your post difficult to understand, but if you are now in the UAE then you can only use the UAE store, and you can only potentially redownload past purchases that you made from the UAE store - the terms of use of the stores state that you need to be in a country to use its store. You can also only use a credit card that is issued by a UAE bank on a UAE account, you can't use an Egyptian (or any other country's) credit card.
    You should be able to install any purchases that you made whilst you in Egypt from the backup that you've been keeping. Or have you not been backing up ?

    Besides Terence's questions are you trying to get those photos into iWeb to put into your web site?  If so then open the Media tray at the right
    and go to the Photos sections.  There you can find events, albums and/or individual photos to drag into your iWeb webpage or photo page.
    No need to export out of iPhoto and then bring back in to iWeb.
