  • I didn't receive email from Apple for reset security question

i didn't receive a mail from apple I want to reset my security question because I forgot it. Can you sent me that email now

If it hasn’t arrived after a few hours and isn’t in a spam filter, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Why am I not receiving an e-mail to reset my security questions

I created my Apple ID years ago, but I can not remember the answers to my security questions. I have tried to reset it by email, but to no avail have I gotten that email. I check my inbox everyday. How do I reset the answers to my security questions?

    Hello Farr1sable,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning Apple ID issues:
Rescue email address and how to reset Apple ID security questions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5312
    Additional Information
The email address will not be marketed to as a result of designating it as a rescue email address. If you previously designated this email address to receive marketing, it will continue to do so.
If you decide not to provide a rescue email address, you can't reset your security questions and answers yourself later in the event you can't remember the answers to your questions. You'll need to contact iTunes Store supportto have your questions and answers reset.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • HT5312 How do I use my rescue email to reset my security questions?

Ever since I got a new phone in December I haven't been able to make purchases on the App Store (free stuff I can get of course). Whenever I go to buy something it asks for the answers to my security questions. And for some reason all the answers I can think of are being declined.
I checked apple support and it said I can use my rescue email to reset the questions, but when I clicked on the link all it did was tell me why having a rescue email was so important.

I can't get a rescue email to reset my security questions. I clicked the link but there's no massages in my inbox alternate email. Help please :(

You are checking your rescue email account - an alternate/secondary email address is a different setting/address on an iTunes account. If it's not in the spam nor inbox then you could try requesting it again, or contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

  • I am receiving emails from apple to reset my password that I have not requested

Hi wondering if anyone could help. About 3 weeks ago I received an email from apple that my apple ID was used to download an app that was not from the device which is normally used. This was initiated from the United States, I am in n.ireland. As this was not me I followed the instructions & changed my password. However the past 2 days I have received 7 emails from apple on how to reset my apple ID that I did not initiate & am concerned that someone is trying to get access to my apple account. Has this ever happened anyone else? If so how did you deal with the problem as I can't seem to get through to apple to discus the matter. Thanks

That's very scary. They might do it, but I personally have never had Apple contact me re id's except on their site when signing in. I suggest you DO NOT respond until you have a phone conversation with Apple security. They can verify if they sent you the e-mail and why.
While it's very possible it's true, again, I suggest you not respond until you speak to someone at Apple. I've often read here that when people sign in they are not allowed to because "someone else has used the id" type of statement.
Also, you should be able to go to the app store and see what apps you have downloaded.
Though it could have been a free app, have you checked to see if any were bought with your id account?
I've gotten these types of e-mails from places like USPS and FedEx which look amazingly authentic and were from their website. I also received an odd e-mail from my cousin in Ireland last year that clearly was not from him. It was also sent to others in his family in Ireland. I e-mailed him that I only opened it because it had a .ie, but suggested he change... Days later I received mail from 'him' - same name, but at yahoo.com.
Again, I would call Apple. You can also report it at [email protected], but I would not settle for that given your situation. If nothing else, call Apple sales (sales depts. anywhere answer fast) and ask them to transfer you to security. Apple will not want anybody accessing their name, and while it's unlikely, it's not impossible that it is someone phishing.
Hope this helps and can you let the support community know your results by posting on this thread when you're done? Thank you.
    Hope this helps.

  • I won't receive an e-mail from Apple about changing my security questions

Okay, so I wanted to buy something on iTunes, but then this thing came up, saying since it was my first time buying something on this device, I had to answer my security questions. The thing is, I don't remember them! I made them over 2 years ago, and never had to use them until now. So I signed in onto my account, and pressed "Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to r•••••@yahoo.com" I'm not sure if the r*****@yahoo.com appears for everyone, or if it's "my" e-mail account, but just showing the first letter. Thing is, I don't remember making en e-amil account starting with r. My Apple ID is my e-mail account. The one I had when I got my first Apple device. I've always used it for Apple stuff, so why won't I receive an e-mail from Apple about this? I received one when I put my phone number in my payment options just yesterday, and when I changed my password as well, so I don't get why I don't get the imformation about changing my security questions. I really want new songs

You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.
