HT5312 I wanna change my security question.

I'm trying to reset the security questions that I have to answer for my Apple ID but I don't have the option to.  I went to myappleid.com, signed in, and went to the security questions, but there was no way to reset these questions.  If I type something in, it says "The Authentication Information provided does not match our records. Please verify your personal information and try again" but there is no way to reset my answers.  Also, can you tell me how to change the questions if I am able to reset the information?

The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

I forgot my security question answer and i wanna change my security question and i can't see the "send reset security info" to reset it ?

If you aren't getting the reset link then you don't have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account, and you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions - you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've been reset you can then use the steps on this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620
Or, if it's available in your country, you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

  • HT5312 I want to change my security questions, but the option" forgot your answers? send reset security info email to" doesen show even if I answer mor than 3 questions, it's bloked for 8 hours

I want to change my security questions, but the option" forgot your answers? send reset security info email to" doesen't show, and after I answer 3 wrong questions, it's bloked for 8 hours, how can I change the answer to this questions If the link doesen show on the aplle wb page?

The 'send reset info' only shows if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. If it's not showing then that implies that you haven't got one on your account, and you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your security questions - in which case  see if the instructions on this user tip helps you get the questions reset : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551
