HT5312 iTunes Store problems

I need to reset my security questions, because I don't remember the answers, but the "forgot your answers? Send reset security info email" is not showing when I log in. How can I proceed? Thanks.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Solution to the "One Moment Please connecting to the iTunes store" Problem

Thought I would post this as a new topic because I see many people had the same problem as I do (did).
I kept getting the "One Momement Please connecting to the iTunes store" problem and could not figure out what was going on. I basically turned off everything I could think of "firewall, antivirus, antispyware, you name it and it still was not working.
Then I found in a thread the suggestion to delete my iTune preferences file. I did it and voila... all was fine.
So... here are the instructions. Do this first before you try anything else. It may save you A LOT OF TIME.
For VISTA the pref file is found at: C:\Users\+user name+\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes. Delete the file named "iTunesPrefs.xml", restart i-Tunes and it will reset all of you preferences. You will need to enable "show hidden folders" in Folder Options in the control panel as "AppData" will be hidden otherwise.
Hope this helps. I wished I'd seen it earlier.

Unfortunately deleting the iTunesPrefs.xml didn't work for me and others.
Try this. Click on Edit..Preferences...Parental Control and place a check mark in the box to the left of iTunes Store, also place a check mark in the box to the left of Allow access to iTunes U as well and then click OK.
Now go to the store. Finally, return to Parental Control and remove the check mark beside iTunes Store.
Hopefully you will now be able to access the iTunes Store without the dreaded One Moment please message.

  • Please, help me with the ''Cannot connect to iTunes store'' problem

The same common problem can't be fixed .. I tried every possible solution, none of them worked.I tried changing date and time, reset network settings.None of them worked with me
Please help me to solve this problem

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.
    In the meantime ...........

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • IPad iOS 6 WiFi, iMessage and iTunes store problems - not the usual

When I first updated my iPad 3 to iOS 6, everything ran relatively smoothly. Then the problems started piling on, beginning with me being absolutely unable of logging into iMessage. It's always the same error message: "Incorrect password". My password is correct, I am using the password I have always used so I know it is correct. Besides that, I tried changing it and that did not matter either way.
Now, the next problem is the common "Unable to connect to iTunes store" which has been talked about a lot on here.
In an effort to try to fix that problem, I reset all network settings for the iPad and that's when the next problem began.
After I reset the network settings, I have not been able to connect to a secure network.
    I have now tried
changing the encryption for the router password from WPS-SPK to WEP and back again
connecting to three different routers with three different passwords
set up multiple hotspots using my laptop with multiple passwords
resetting the network settings over and over again
and all those attempts have failed. I always get the same message as in the picture even though I know for a fact that the password is correct, my laptop accesses that network with flying colors using the same password as I tried on the iPad. And yes, I tried it again. And again and again and again.
Now, this is really annoying. Not being able to access WiFi on my iPad is f****** annoying! Please help!

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

  • TS1368 Iphone and Ipad connections to Itunes store problem

On both my iPad 2 and iPhone 3g I cannot access the itunes store to download updates for my apps. I enter my apple id and password and on both devices I get the message "cannot connect to itunes store" and the only option is to press ok. I know the apple id and password are correct as they work fine on my MacBook Pro. Also internet connection works fine on both devices

I think I've worked out that my problem was caused by me changing my apple I.d. That is my apps were purchased with one apple i d but I was using the new one for trying to download the updates. Seems obvious, but it would have been easie if the apple error message just told me that!

  • HELP!  Podcast Itunes Store problem

So, I've tried several attempts at getting help from Apple...but they do not respond!
My podcast, My Next Meal is having problems in the itunes store.
    http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=83219866
    http://homepage.mac.com/justin_bourret/podcasts/feed.xml
I've pinged it and it pings fine. My code looks fine. I am using The Podcast RSS Buddy 3.2 (includes the new categories).
My new episodes download, but do not show up in the itunes store. Also, it is not listed properly in the store (Arts, food). This is getting quite annoying (the problem started happening when itunes made the category switch).
Please help....I am getting very frustrated.
    Justin

Your problem seems to be that your RSS feed isn't validating. You can see the problems here:
    http://www.feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fhomepage.mac.com%2Fjusti n_bourret%2Fpodcasts%2Ffeed.xml
I've never touched RSS Buddy, but try and see if you can repair these problems and you should be good to go.
If your feed doesn't validate, then iTunes will not update your podcast page with any new episodes, graphics, descriptions, etc. However, your xml doesn't need to validate for people ALREADY subscribed to your feed to get new episodes. You just won't be able to see the new episodes in iTunes.

  • Another 'can't connect to itunes store' problem...

    Hi all,
I have read and tried instructions here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368#win24, and looked at topics in this forum, but still cannot connect to itunes store. I also can't access windows live messenger or internet explore (am using firefox).
This is not a problem with the new itunes 9 as I could not connect before I installed it, on itunes 8.whatever. It's not my network as other computers and my iphone can connect to the store, but my laptop can't. Just to make sure it wasn't the network, I tried connecting on a friend's connection, still no dice. It appears to be some problem with my computer's settings but I just can't figure out what it is.
Again, I have already tried EVERYTHING on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368#win24. Except for the TCP and UDP ports part, too complex for me.
If anyone could offer any help, it is greatly appreciated. I hope I have provided enough info!
    Thanks!

hey, how did you fix it? can you tell us.

  • Itunes Store problem

    Hi!
I bought an aplication of Chat for MSN, aim, and other services for my Iphone. The problem is that don't work.
Can i ask for pay back? Because don't work, and have a lot problems of connection.

You can certainly report a problem with the puchase through your purchase history (in iTunes click your Store menu and go to View My Account, then click the Purchase History button). This request goes to both iTunes Store personnel, as well as the application developer. My understanding is that the refund decision is the developer's. Have you attempted any troubleshooting on the app? If this is the only one experiencing any issue, I'd recommend reinstalling it. Touch and hold the icon on the iPhone home screen, and then when the icons begin to wiggle, tap the encircled X on the app. This will uninstall it. Press the Home screen to stop the wiggling. Then, connect your iPod to your computer to re-sync the app to reinstall it.

  • A little buying problem- itunes store problem

whenever i try to buys songs an error comes up (-50). i read what this site says about it, something about getting rid of firewalls but i have no idea how to do that. can someone give be a detailed explanation of what i can do so i can buys songs??!!!

Problems connecting to the iTunes Store often stem from issues with the Windows firewall or a firewall in a router, a privacy filter (such as McAfee Internet Privacy Service or Norton Internet Security), an antivirus/antispyware utility, or a download accelerator. Start here:
iTunes for Windows: Overview of Music Store Errors
for some basic tips to start isolating the cause of the problem. What you need to do is temporarily disable any such service and see if that fixes the problem. If so, then if it's a firewall/Internet filter that's causing the problem and you'll need to set the offending service to allow iTunes to connect to the iTunes Store.
    Hope this helps.

  • Another with the Itunes Store problem, Itunes closes when I try and open the store.

    Hi
I see lots of others are complaining about this same problem, but I haven't seen a solution for those of us who aren't exceptionally computer savvy.  I have Windows 7 Home Premium and Itunes 11.1.3.8. I can open Itunes and go to everything in my library, but when I click on "iTunes Store", I immediately get a popup that says, "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".
Has anyone got a step by step instruction on how to fix this?
    Thanks

    Hello JFoley89
For your first issue, of not letting you download the explicit version, report the issue to iTunes. And for the second and third, you can change the information stored within it to get them grouped together the way you want them to be.
