HT5312 ok so i forgot my security answers and now i cant buy any music at all ive tried to reset them from the apple id account but it doesnt let me

i just got my itunes card and was about to buy some music when it asked me for my security questions which i dont know and it ended up locking me out , i just unlocked it but i still cant answer the questions.ive had people tell me that i should go to my apple id account and it would give me a link to reset them there but it doesnt show up on mine what can i do?

The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. If you aren't getting the link (you won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

Well, of course a rescue address which is the same as the main address (which doesn't work) isn't a lot of use.

Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
