HT5312 The security questions apparently aren't working to my favor. I give the answers I know and I guess my life is wrong? I've been looking and looking for a place to fix it but I get nothing. Help me please.

I need to figure out how to unlock my locked account. I just got a new iPod touch 5th generation and since it's my first purchase I have to answer security questions. When I answer I am wrong I guess and it doesn't show me a straight forward way on how to fix it. Just a never ending series of web pages. Is anyone able to actually help me?

    We spoke to Customer "support" today, as we can't use i-Tunes for a new i-Pod gift for Christmas.  The reason this iPod was bought is because he can no longer upload i-Tunes to his old one because it's a Ver. 3 and it demands you upgrade it (which we tried numerous times before getting into one  of these chat rooms and discovering that the iPod 3 is not compatible with the upgrade!! Really makes them all a waste of MONEY.  Not happy.
    Anyway, the "ADVICE" from the Apple "support" guy was to just keep guessing the answers to the questions.  WHAT!  He never answered them before, they weren't necessary before, so how can he guess the answers, to questions that were non-existent when he originally created his ID??
    Does anyone have any advice regarding this, as I think he has already attached his credit (also a gift) to his ORIGINAL ID, so even if he creates a NEW Apple ID, he will lose that Credit.   So furstrated right now!

    I recently upgraded my iphone and tried to make a new music purchase from itunes, I was able to log into my account but before I buy the songs, I am asked 2 security questions.   • Every time I am asked for my Apple password, I put it in and then it is not recognized.  When I answer the security question, I am told it is wrong.  I reset the password, try again, and we start all over again.  Not recognized.

    How can I get Apple to recognize me? Every time I try to put in my Apple password, it doesn't recognize it.  I try answering the security question, will not recognize it.  I end up changing the password then try signing in again and it won't recognize it.  We start all over again.

    Have you changed the email address associated with the Apple ID? I did, and learned the hard way that it caused a lot of problems. I had to delete that ID and create a new one, then it caused problems with iCloud because of my old email address. If that's not the case, you might need to set up a new Apple ID altogether. Sounds like a pain, but it's not too hard, and you only need to create a new email address. You can also set up new security questions for the new ID and it should be recognized when you enter the information in iTunes, the App Store, etc. If that doesn't work, I recommend calling Apple and explaining the situation.     If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

    IF your rescue email is not working, your options are pretty limited - find a phone and call them is about the only way you are going to get things reset and workIng.
