That is not legit, it is a scam to gain access to your computer and information.

iMessage is from Apple to communicate with other Apple devices.
iPad is not a phone and does not have SMS/MMS services from a carrier. There are apps that can do this, search the App Store.

i know, it was not new.. so it could have been on an other cell provider i am not sure if it was so at the moment that is all i can do

The system requirements for Mavericks used years of production for the computer requirements. Why can't they use the generational number system?

Office location where Mac Pro is located has a slow internet connection. I downloaded Mavericks installer onto thumbdrive. Attempted to install on a dual 3 core Xenon Mac Pro, model 2,1. After a few hours, I figured out that the error message that was generated by the installer was telling me that my computer doesn't support Mavericks. Do other people get confused with which generation of hardware is supported with software? I understand the difference between PowerPC and Intel. The tricky part is the difference between 32bit and 64bit with the EFI and the CPU instruction set. Also, why can't they stick with a clear numbering system that is visible when you get info on the Mac?

If you are desperate you can use hackintosh tools to boot in 'legacy' mode which allows 10.9 to run on unsupported Macs. Chameleon bootloader & some google fu will get it running in an unsupported way (assuming your graphics card is supported).
I think Apple dug this hole when they told everyone that these were '64bit Macs'. Sadly if they don't support 32bit EFI in their new OS it's not going to work by default. In other discussions I have read that drivers need to be rewritten for actual 64bit support on a 32bit EFI.
I have run 10.8 on my 1,1 MP, but 10.6 was nicer, at some point I'll try 10.9 on it
P.S. http://mactracker.ca and http://www.everymac.com are handy for working out what model supports what features etc.

You can do this using Quicktime Pro 7:
Open MOV file in QT Pro (QT 7.6.6)
Window -> Show Movie Properties
select "Video Track"
select "Visual Settings" from lower window
check "Preserve Aspect Ratio"
Click on appropriate rotation icon (MOV rotates!)
Click back on the open MOV in Player Window
FILE -> Save

Also, MPEG Streamclip can rotate video while maintaining the aspect ratio as well as the interlacing when converting to DV, which is what iMovie prefers as an input:

Thank you! Thank You! Thank You!!! I have been arguing with Comcast for 6 months on this. They told me to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. Then I found this website and there was my solution. It worked. It was annoying that they told me to use internet explorer. The worst part is I pay them monthly. Well, as soon as my contract is up, I am done with Comcast. They still haven't figured out why my favorite stations aren't coming in. Funny thing is my roommate has Direct t.v. with no problems. At half the price. See ya Comcast. You bought the phone from this lady right and she did not turn off imessage. Try turning off imessage and restart the phone. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost). Wait a few minutes and turn imessage back on

Just to make certain, you inserted the original installation disk and started the MBP holding down the C key? Did the Optical drive reject the disk or did it just spin? If the former, the lens in the drive may be dirty and needs to be cleaned. If the latter, you will have to take it to an Apple repair facility.
