HT5312 What if the email to recover your answer is deactivated? What do you do?
I tried to reset my answer but the email that was used to recover them was my email that was deactivated. I have changed my emails to my new one but it doesn't seem to change it to recover my answers? Any suggestions.
You won't be able to change it one until you can answer your questions (if you've updated email addresses on your account then they will be alternate email addresses), you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to update your rescue email address for potential future use

iTunes keeps popping up a dialog box that says "An update to the carrier settings for your iPhone is available. Would you like to download it?" What is this? When I click on the "Learn More" button in the dialog box it takes me to a generic iTunes support page that has no relevance to carrier settings.
I got this three times within the last 4 hours and have been getting it almost every day since I use my new iPhone 6 - over a week now. This happens almost every time I connect the phone to my MacBook Pro, although every time I confirm and it indicates successful update.
It is highly unlikely that my carrier updates settings on daily basis or three times a day. It is almost surely a bug in the Apple system and anything but a timely and effective solution is unacceptable.
For debugging information, I recovered a backup from my former iPhone 5 onto the new one, using the same carrier and SIM. -

I have forgotten my appleID password and the email it is linked to is deactivated, security questions aren't working. This is on my iPhone and iTunes acs so I can't sync with my new computer. How do I merge AppleID accounts and shut down the old one (when I have no password and the security questions aren't working?)
You cannot merge Apple ID accounts, that has never been supported.

When I tried to sync my 4G iphone factory unlocked to iTunes I got this message "An update to the carrier settings for your iPhone is available. Would you like to download it now?" Should I hit "Download and Update"? or "Learn More" ?
I have a factory unlocked iPhone 3GS (eg: purchased from Apple). I received the same message at some point and eventually (after reading a bit more) accepted "Download and Update". No problem. No apparent bad effects. It just seems to update things specific to the carrier (Bell Mobility in my case).

My Apple ID asks for answers to security questions which I never input. I have searched how to reset my security questions and have found that the option below where your answers are to be input to reset questions does not exist on my iPhone 5c
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

If your phone is factory unlocked, or officially unlocked by your carrier, updating will NOT re-lock the phone. If it was unlocke by unauthorized methods, any update or restore will re-lock it.

my iphone5 was not receiving service and the apple store had to replace phone. When i got married and changed my apple id however the apps are apparantly still linkedf to my old id account. Therefore my apps won't finish installing. I cannot remember that password and when i go to reset the password is says email sent but the email is never there. What am i to do

I've been trying to buy some songs from iTunes but it keeps asking me for my security questions, which it has never done before, and I don't remember my answers. I tried to go to apple support using the express lane and when I went to the section to figure out how to fix it, it sent me here and the screen shot here shows that there should be an option to have the information sent to your recovery email, which I have 2 attached to my account, but there is no option in my account management page. I tried emailing apple support and they told me that the section of apple support that I contacted the wrong apple support people for my problem even though I opened the email option from the express lane. Please help me, I have a bunch of iTunes cards that i got for Christmas that I would like to use!!!
The option to send reset info only appears if you have a rescue email address on your account, which is a different address / setting to alternate email address. What if you have two questions but you remember your apple ID password? It doesn't give me the option to change my security questions/answers.
