HT5313 10.7.5 update User name

I've just installed 10.7.5 on my Oct 2008 MBP.
I notice that my full user name is now between the clock and the spotlight icon (in the menu bar). Its taking a lot of screen real estate (I also use menumeters). Can I turn it off?
I have a screenshot from just before the update, so I know its got to do with this update. However this change is not listed in the HT5313 pages....
Can't see that any options in the User preferences dialogues....
Any suggestions?

You may have activated "fast user switching."
Go to System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Login Options and deselect "Show fast user switching menu as ..."

Update users name in PPOMA from SU01

Hello together,
I am having a question. Is there a report or FM available which allows me to update the users name in the PPOMA with the data from SU01. While creating users with czech characters with the transaction users_gen, the file has been corrupted somehow and now the display in PPOMA as well as the approval process is not very nice. The users already cleansed their names but the PPOMA is still crap. What can I do here?

Hey Muthu,
The problem is that the users are already in the system, assigned to a node and ordered shopping carts. The users changed their names by using the personal settings but still the PPOMA is not updated correctly. The US-users are updated but the Business Partner as well as the PPOMA-user remains wrong.
We are using SRM 4.0.

E72 Software update, user name and password

I am trying to update the software on my E72 as it is full of bugs. I do the*#0000# and choose check for updates. The phone searches for updates and for a split second says "recieving data from T-Mobile" but then asks me for a user name and password. I have no Idea what this user name and password relate to? Anyone have any idea??

Hi, I don't know anything about t-mobile, but I would call them.
If there is an update for you, you could try to use NSU or ovi suite?

It appears that you have apps on the iPod that wer purchased with more than one iTunes account. If one from more than one iTunes account need updating, you need to update them one at a time (not update all) until all the remianing apps were purchased from one account. You may need to change the accont the iPId is signed into by go to Settings>Store and signing out and in.
Accounts can't be merged.

I just updated my MacBook pro early 2011 model to OSX 10.9 and was forced to create a new user(administrator) and ended up with a different configuration. If I login with my original user name everything is back. How can I get rid of the other user name?

I have two user names with Administrator privelages and my MacBook keeps booting up to the wrong one and I have the wrong configuration since I updated to OSX 10.9. I would like to get back to my original User name which I used to boot up to. When I go to the User Groups and Preferences it doesn't allow me to delete the un-wanted user.
Does anybody have any suggestions how I can fix this? I can't seem to recover Time Capsule back-ups prior to the OSX upgrade even though I have been faithfully backing up to a Time Machine.

First of all, open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Options, and set your old user account in "Automatic login". By doing this, your computer will always log in with your old account.
Then, log in your old account, where you will be able to delete the new user that OS X Mavericks forced you to create. Other users have reported the same problem

Is it possible to restore Gamecenter after update and restore?? After update, tried logging into Gamecenter and it says that the user name is already taken. Yeah, I know..... by me!!!

One of my kids ipods needed an update. It wouldn't let me do it via the itouch (like the other 2 itouches did). I had to connect to the PC, sync, update and then restore. Once I did, the apps could be downloaded again via icloud (which wasn't on the itouch before) but progress on games that were through Gamecenter did not transfer. Tried logging into Gamecenter and it states the user name is already taken. Yeah, I know it's already taken, BY MY DAUGHTER!!! Apparently she has a dragon game app that she manages through Gamecenter that she has worked her way to level 22 and now it is all gone. It wants her to restart from level 1. I know this isn't life or death and not like losing work data etc. But to a 9 year old who has spent $40 of her own money on gems, coins etc....... this is the end of the world. LOL. I do want to try to help her, I just don't know how.

Apps are only tied to one account... You can set up two iTunes accounts on your computer, however, and let his iPad sync to his account. If he has never backed up his apps to a computer, however, he will have to redownload all the apps. Afterwards, he can backup to iCloud instead of your computer.

It may be that AutoFill is disabled in Safari, or that Private Browsing is on.
Go to Settings > Safari > Passwords & AutoFill and make sure that Names and Passwords is on.
Go to your Home screen and open Safari. If Safari is black or dark instead of white or gray, Private Browsing is on. Safari doesn't save account names and passwords when Private Browsing is on. To turn off Private Browsing:
On iPad, tap the the plus icon in the upper-right corner of the Safari page, then tap Private in the lower-left corner.
On iPhone and iPod touch, tap in the lower-right corner of the Safari page, then tap Private in the lower-left corner.

The amount of RAM is not dependant on the operating system. It is all about the model of you Mac.
10.6.8 is the version of OS X that is installed on your system. It has no real baring on the amount of RAM that CAN be installed.
Personally I have never had good luck with Corsair RAM. I have always had good luck with Crucial and Kingston.

Any apps you have installed from the old AppleID will always be tied to that AppleID. You have no choice but to enter the password for the old AppleID if you want to update apps downloaded using that ID.
The only way to stop being asked for the password for the old AppleID is to remove all apps from the device that were downloaded using that old AppleID.
You'd then need to re-download (and re-purchase) any apps you want to keep using under the new AppleID.
Apps cannot be transferred between AppleIDs.

Purchased items are forever tied to the Apple ID that they were purchased with. If you don't remember the Password, log onto Manage your Apple ID, and click on Reset Password: Apple - My Apple ID
If you don't remember your Security Questions, contact Apple Support to have them reset:

Need to update resource name in user XML

Hi Friends,
I Need to update resource name in user XML. Suppose I have one user say 120120 and he has resource "ABC" assinged to him.
When I rename resource "ABC" to "XYZ" and search the user 120120, it is showing me "XYZ" resource is assinged to 120120. this is right.
But same thing that is resource "XYZ" is not getting updated in **User XML**.

I don't know of any standard report of Function module which will directly update the addrress of location , however you can develop a custom report for update of addreess of plant from R/3 to SRM using the Function module "BUPA_ADDRESSES_GET' , "BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE" and table 'ADDR'.
use " BUPA_ADDRESS_GET" to get address number using the partner id of location.
search on table 'ADDR" with the address number to get the address detail .
compare the address detail with the R/3 plant address.
use function module "BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE" to update the address.

He advise me to goto http://expresslane.apple.com/, and send issue form to apple service.
I wait more than a week, but no reply.
I have purchased invoice and iphone package to confirm this phone is not stolen.
How could I do?
