HT5372 iCloud Tabs - some work, some don't

I've tried the Troubleshooting actions described on this Knowledge Base article, yet i can't get it to work. My iPad's tabs show on my iMac and vice-versa, yet I can't see any tabs on my iPhone and it's tabs aren't shown in any of the other devices. All are running the the latest versions of the OSes (10.8.2 and iOS 6.0.1).

Hi, Bredgur,
Sorry for your problems. It sounds like a problem with your media.
I tried DVDs from Memorex, TDK, and Apple.
Try Verbatim DVD-R. That brand is very reliable and seems to work on most DVD players. Some players give difficulty. My Toshiba randomly won't play some audio clips. My Sony reliably plays everything.

  • ICloud Tabs not working on Mountain Lion ?

    Hello,
I'm annoyed with a problem on my Mac mini, iCloud Tabs won't work on it. But the thing is that's working between
my two iDevices (iPhone, iPod) and not on my computer.
    I've tried the following,
    - Disable the iCloud account in all the devices and then log in again.
    - Look for help in the Safari (on the Mac) preferences.
    ( Private browsing is disabled)
    Can anyone solve this problem,
    Thanks

    Has anyone found a solution?
It´s now 2013 & Apple have still not rectified this!
I also see all iCloud Tabs on my iOS devices, but not on my Mac Mini (All have latest updates / Mountain Lion & iOS 6 etc.).
This function was highly promoted by Apple, & if it doe´snt work - Its a Rip off & Apple should either fix it, or apologise!
I don´t know a single person who can see their iOS Tabs on a MAC of ANY kind!!!

  • ICloud tabs not working in safari

They show up in Safari on my iOS devices (two ipads and iphone) and my iMac at home. But they don't on my work Macbook Air. When I click on the iCloud tabs icon it a popup box comes up with the icloud logo and the message : icloud automatically shows all the open tabs on your other devices.
iCloud is on on the macbook air, and Safari is chosen in the list.

    Voila!! It worked!
    Don't know why I didn't think to do that before. <slaps forehead>
If we could think of every possible scenario and fix on our own, there would be no need for a support forum.
I had a minor panic a few days ago, when my lock sounds were no longer working on my iPad. I knew that I had not changed anything at all in the settings. I rebooted my iPad twice, I played around with the volume, I checked system sounds... I was stumped. I just couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Even though I knew that I hadn't changed anything in the settings, I decided to finally go back and check anyway. Sure enough, I had Lock Sounds turned off in the Sound Settings. I have no clue how it happened, but it was turned off.
I had my own "slaps forehead" that morning and thought to myself, why didn't I just check that to begin with?
I am happy to hear that you got the situation resolved.

  • ICloud tabs not working / syncing

I have an iPhone 4 and iPad 2. Both now run iOS 6.  iCloud tabs are not working on either device (I just see the cloud icon).  I did work throu the troubleshooting (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5372) but no joy.  Anyone see this..?

I have an iPhone 4S and an ipad3, both updated to iOS 6.  The icloud tab on the ipad doesn't show anything. The icloud bookmarks on the iPhone are showing open tabs from my ipad, but funny thing is...those tabs are no longer open.  I've turned off icloud on both devices repeatedly, turned off and on both devices as directed in troubleshooting...still have same result. Very little info on this issue.  Spent WAY too much time trying every conceivable solution. Only thing I haven't tried is a total reset of the ipad.  I'm trying to be patient and see if there is something simple I'm missing. HELP!

  • ICloud tabs not working in ios7

I have an iPhone 5 and an iPad Mini Retina, and both are running the latest version of iOS 7.  Neither is able to see open tabs in safari on the other device.  When I hit the iCloud button in safari on my iPad, it simply tells me that "iCloud automatically shows tabs open on other devices", and my iPhone shows nothing at all when I scroll down to the bottom of the open page screen in safari.
I've tried rebooting my devices and even deleting my iCloud account from both devices, but the problem remains.
Is there any fix for this?
    Thanks all.

  • My iCloud tabs not working in Safari on my iPad.

My iCloud tabs are missing in Safari on my iPad since my problems with the App Store yesterday.
Private Browsing is OFF on all of my devices.
I've quit Safari from the task bar.
I've turned Safari on/off in Settings>iCloud and rebooted.
I've repeated the above about 5 times.
My iPod can see my iPad tabs in the iCloud tabs in Safari but not vice versa. What gives?

  • HT5372 iCloud tabs open all tabs from another device in 1 session

Can i open the icloud tabs on my ipad as a folder on safari mac rather than open them one by one into individual tabs?

    Thanks, Julian,
Sorry, but I think you misunderstood.  I'm aware that I need to have iOS 6 on my iPhone or iPad to view iCloud Tabs.
I think I should have been more clear.  The issue I am having is that I am not able to view the iCloud Tabs on my iMac and Macbook Pro.
For example, if I am viewing a website on my iPhone, with Moutain Lion I should be able to pick up where I left off on my iMac or Macbook Pro by clicking on the iCloud Tab Button in Safari, as demonstrated.  When I click on the iCloud Tab Button, the Cloud is blank.  I just get the generic statement "iCloud automatically shows all the open tabs on all your devices."
My Apple ID is the same on my iPhone, iPad, iMac and Macbook Pro.  I can't understand why this feature doesn't work as advertised.  I have also followed all the troubleshooting steps in Support.
Again, thank you for your help.

  • ICloud tab not working

The new iCloud tab feature in Safari doesn't seem to be working. I have tabs open in Safari on my other devices, but it's not showing up. I just keep getting this image.

I think that function requires iOS 6 on the other end. iOS 6 comes out later this year.

  • ICloud tabs not working on iPad

I am unable to get the iClouds tabs in Safari to work between my iPad and iPhone.  I've tried the suggested fixes that I can find and it appears it's set up correctly I have restarted both my iPhone and the iPad and I've turned off iCloud for Safari in settings>iCloud and turned it back on.
I have an iPhone 5s and an iPad 4.
    Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I have discovered that my iPad 4 is somehow not storing the Safari pages to iCloud. My iPad 2 sees the pages on my iPhone 5s and vice versa.   It is obviously something with my iPad 4.

  • HT5372 icloud tabs do not show websites from my iOS device

One of the features of Mountain Lion I found of interest is iCloud Tabs.  After installing Mountain Lion, I am unable to view the websites that I am currently browning on my iOS Device (iPhone) and continue on my iMac.
I have checked all the settings and went through the troubleshooting steps and I am still unsuccessful.
How can I get this to work?  Is anyone else having similar issues?

    Thanks, Julian,

  • ICloud tabs not working

Yes I've tried the troubleshooting for iCloud tabs, why won't Apple just develop a fix?
I can see my tabs from my iPad on my iPhone, but not vice versa, what a joke

Has nothing to do with Apple. It will be seen as soon as corrupted software of your phone restored as new.

  • HT5372 iCloud Tabs from an old device

I gave away an iPod touch, but that despite being reset as a new device) still appears in my iCloud Tabs.  How do I remove that from iCloud Tabs?

Why not?  What happens when trying to play the content?
Is the device signed in with the same account the media was purchased with?

  • I have a Mac book pro on vesion 10.6.8 and want to access icloud as it works great on my iphone 4.  Not sure best way to upgrade as some of the review of Lion on the appstore are awful.  Any advice

I have a Mac book pro on vesion 10.6.8 and want to access icloud as it works great on my iphone 4.  Not sure best way to upgrade as some of the review of Lion on the appstore are awful.  Any advice as I also have MIcrosoft word etc and don't want to have to purchase these again.

That is the best list ever for Lion compatibility!
    You can also do this:
Launch the programs you know and love on your Snow Leopard Mac.
    Utilities --> Activity Monitor
Under the "Kind" tab it will identify the programs running PowerPC, Intel and Intel 64.
No PowerPC apps will run under Lion.
Don't worry about Apple's system stuff like Mail, iCal, Safari.
Don't worry about the system processes, like fontd and launchd, those will be replaced if you go to Lion.
Just look for the programs that you need.

  • Can't access icloud tabs on some devices

    Hello,
I own 2 macs, an iPhone, an ipad air, and an ipad mini.  I am the only user on all the devices, and I am using the same iTunes account.  When I try to access icloud tabs on any device, I can see all my devices except the iPads.  To clarify, when I access iCloud tabs on my iPhone, I can only see either my Air's tabs or my Mini's tabs, but never both at the same time.  Meanwhile, I am still able to see the two macs.  When I access iCloud tabs on my Air, I cannot ever see the tabs from my mini, but I can still see tabs from all the other devices.  The same is true of the Mini not seeing the Air's tab.  When I try to access iCloud tabs on either Mac, I again can on my see one or the other iPad, but never at the same time.  Sorry if that was confusing, but basically, it is like the Air and the Mini are being treated as the same device or something along those lines.  I just want to be able to see all my tabs at once.  I appreciate any help!
    Warm regards,
    Pf3
