HT5372 no bookmarks tab in Safari help

I'm new to this but I can't see the bookmark tab in safari therefore I can't bookmark any web pages. Please help .

Three ways; tap the open flat book you get bookmarks it says favorites, history,etc. Scroll down that list, if your bookmark isn't listed by flicking the list up. Next, add the bookmark as favorite and you get a new icon on your Safari page. Last you can add favorites bar just under the URL box.

Why can't I access the "webpage" and "bookmarks" tabs in Safari on my iPad2?

Sometimes when I'm using Safari, I can't access other webpages that I already have open. I click on the tab multiple times, but I stay on the current page. I also can't access any of my bookmarks (basically, none of the buttons next to the search bar work for me).
I essentially have to wait until the browser crashes, and then everything works normally. What is going on?!

HT1338 why I do not have Bonjour under bookmark in my safari on Macbook pro?

Hi, I am using a Macbook Pro, I wonder why I do not have Bonjour in the bookmark tab in safari?
I need it to install a Pioneer wireless speaker with AirPlay.

Go to Safari Preferences/Bookmarks and Select Bonjour in Collections.

I can no longer find the organize bookmarks export to HTML item under the Bookmarks tab, in v where did it go? Using version 4.01

I store and synchronize my bookmarks using HTML exporting it between laptop and other systems and I can no longer find it in the usual place under the Bookmarks tab. Using help just directed me to the usual location Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks> Export HTML> which does not appear in my version of Firefox 4.01.

I was trying to export my bookmarks to Safari and the instructions were to: Go to Bookmarks - select "Organize bookmarks" and "export to HTML". I can't find the "Organize bookmarks" tab on my tabs bar.
This came about because Firefox would not let me access my On Star account (kept getting error messages about a mis-direct).

Menu changes (wording), "Organize Bookmarks" under the Bookmarks menu has been changed to "Show All Bookmarks -- Ctrl+Shift+B" with the same keyboard shortcut. They didn't like the new wording either and it is expected to be changed in a later version (but no further changes seen yet in betas).
I always use the keyboard shortcuts anyway.

Safari crashes when I try opening the bookmark tab (iPad 3, iOS 5.1.1)

I was trying to sync my bookmarks from computer to iPad, and suddenly I couldn't open the bookmarks tab on my iPad any more. Safari just closes right away. I tried erasing all the history and rebooting, but it didn't work.

Try the following:
- Restore from backup
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore to factory settings/new iPad.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order

I have updated my iPad 2 to 7.0.2. After syncing to iTunes I noticed that in Safari on my MacBook Pro one of the Bookmark tabs has been emptied. Also, on the iPad I am getting a dark keyboard that stays on the screen no matter what is going on behind it

Lots of strange things happening after installing 7.0.2. Mail and Safari routinely quit on me. Keyboard appears for no reason and doesn't go away. After syncing to iTunes on my MacBook Pro one of the bookmark tabs got emptied out. Is there no one cracking the whip anymore at Apple?

Using iCloud to sync bookmarks between your Mac and iPad?
If so, on the iPad tap Settings > iCloud. Swich Safari off then back on.
On your Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Safari then reselect it.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync your bookmarks.
If you are using iCloud, don't sync Safari bookmarks on iTunes. That could be why the bookmark tabs got emptied out.

It sounds like you just need to associate the PDF filename extension with Acrobat, rather than Preview. Please see this document from the Microsoft Help for instructions on choosing the default program for opening a particular file type (in your case, PDF): Change which programs Windows uses by default - Windows Help

Troubleshooting-iPhone contact and safari bookmarks syncing on mac - help!

I did the update this morning. Everything is working fine but the syncing of my contacts [address book] and the safari bookmarks. they do not change at all when i try doing a syncing. I have more bookmarks in my safari mac than on the iPhone safari. the same happens with my contacts - if I update the information directly on my computer and try syncing it to the iPhone it does not update the info. Can anyone help? thanks.

Sync History is what keeps track of what has been synced and what has been changed.
As a first step you might want to try reseting sync history as mentioned in this article:

i need help. I somehow set a website i go to often to automatically go to google and i am now unable to access the site. I was trying to set it as a bookmark but it did not work.

Click "Bookmarks" in the Safari menu bar.
Select "Add NewBookmarks Folder".
Sidebar will open with a new Bookmarks folder "untitled folder" highlighted blue. Enter a name for it.
Click the "Share" button in the Safari toolbar and select "Add Bookmark"
Click inside the box and a menu will pop up and select the folder you want the bookmark to be placed.
Click the "Add" button.
At the top of the menu you will see "Favorites" folder. You can select it if you want to add a bookmark to the Favorites bar.

Help! Truncated Tabs in Safari

Hi!
I am currently using an ibook bought in August last year.
Recently, I noticed that the tabs in Safari are being truncated (refer to image @ http://static.flickr.com/39/123289690_3b63b851a2.jpg).
As a result, I can't see the tab description properly and it also becomes harder to click on the tabs (smaller surface area and loss of sensitivity i.e. requires several clicks to select the tab).
Its happening as I type this post also.
Would very much appreciate it if anyone could provide me with some indication as to what is happening.

Quit Safari, and find the com.apple.Safari.plist file in your ~Library/Preferences Folder. Drag the file to your Desktop, log out/in or restart and then Start Safari.
Let us know what happens.

Stuck on a bookmarks folder in safari. Help?

For some reason, I can't go back to the main bookmarks folder on safari and am stuck in a folder that I created. Does anybody know how I can get back to that main folder because this has stumped me for weeks and I can't find anything on google.

Check if the peer is reachable, if the ISP (yours or the peer's) is not blocking UDP500, if the peer has IKE enabled, ... run debugs on the peer to see if it receives MM1 and why it does not respond...

I cannot find my 'recently bookmarked' tab after upgrading to firefox 3.6.7, can anyone help?

I've recently upgraded to firefox 3.6.7 and I now find that the 'recently bookmarked' tab in the bookmarks menu has disappeared. Does anyone know how to restore it because I find this a very useful feature. It was next to the 'recent tags' button that I never use.

All your data such as bookmarks, passwords etc., is contained in a folder called a "Profile". See: [[Profiles]]
You can recover your data from the old one if it's still intact and move it to the new profile. This article explains how to go about it: [[Managing Profiles]]

Is there somewhere I can go to get info on Safari, favorites, bookmarks, etc.
When I bookmark the sites go to favorites and there is no bookmark folder. Should I create a bookmark library and have all bookmarks saved to that folder? If so, how would I do it?

We have a new iPad Mini. I cannot save a new Bookmark. In Safari, I go to "Share" and select "Add a Bookmark" yet when I click on the Bookmarks icon, my saved Bookmark is not there. Am I doing something wrong?

We have a new iPad Mini, and I'm having inconsistent results using Bookmarks in the Safari icon.
For a long time, on the iPad, I could only see five items under the Bookmark icons and the Bookmarks Bar was empty.
Occasionally, in Safari, the iPad would pick up and display all of the Bookmarks from the Safari browser on my iMac.
Other times, there are only a bare few Bookmarks available on the iPad, the Bookmarks Bar goes away and I cannot save a new Bookmark. It looks like I can save one, but I cannot find it after allegedly saving.
Then, all of the Bookmarks will come back and I can save a new Bookmark again. We can't figure out why all of the Bookmarks will show and then they won't.
I want to think this involves iCloud some way, but for right now, I'm stumped. Perhaps we're just too inexperienced and haven't come around the learning curve yet.

No, I see the three areas at the bottom of the Bookmark area that you refer to, but that also highlights an issue. When I want to save a story to my Reading List and click on Share then "Add to Reading List" then go back to look at what is stored in the Reading List, my recently-saved item is not there.
I looked thru the History tab and the Reading List tab and have been in the Bookmark tab. But even when I Save a Bookmark, that newly-saved Bookmark does not show up in the Bookmark area.
But then again, the next day (and actually just in the last half-hour) all of the functionality came back. When I look at the Bookmarks, suddenly, again, all of the Bookmarks that are on my Safari browser on my iMac are now there, and I can now Save a Bookmark.
It keeps coming in and out and that is what is driving me a little nuts.
