HT5372 unable to sync icloud tabs

Hello,
I installed Mountain Lion this morning and am unable to sync my icloud tabs across my iphone, ipad and mac. I followed all of the steps in the troubleshooting article, but I still end up getting the message "icloud automatically shows all open tabs on other devices"
Help would be much appreciated

How do I get iCloud tabs working again on my Mac. For whatever reason, they aren't showing up.

Have you tried everything in the document you came from
iCloud: Using and troubleshooting iCloud Tabs ?
The only other reaon I can think o,f that may be preventing the iCloud tabs from showing on your Mac may be, that you enabled "Private Browsing". Is that turned on in the Safari menu?

HT5372 I have 3 iCloud tabs that are not from my current devices

I am currently using 1 iphone and i ipad.
Therefore, I should have only one icloud tab for my iphone and ipad respectively.
However, I can see 2 more icloud tab from 2iphones of my name.
I think this is due to something about back-up. Cos I lost my iphone, deleted it from 'find my iphone' but got my phone back from the bus driver who kept it
kindly for me.
Anyways, I tried backing up my phone from itunes. there were many version of back-up so i tries 2 or 3times to get it right.
Now I have 3 iclud tabs... for my phone and pad.
Can anyone help me with deleting icloud tabs that is from my old iphone?

As I stated I have three accounts.
I started back in the day with a .mac account. Then apple change this to a .me account. Now I have two. Then came icloud and now I have three. They were and are all appleID's, mail accounts etc.
When you say just restore your iClown backup to the device is this an easy do as I cannot find a pathway to that solution. I have been trying. Can you point me in that Direction.
As far as my iDisk data goes, I downloaded it and it was corrupt. When I discovered this apple had already deleted the information. I should have been more specific on that one.

Unable to sync iCloud iPhone 5 Clear app?

I have the "Clear" app on my phone. I can't seem to get it to sync to iCloud nor my iMac. Does anyone have this app on their phone and gotten it to work with iCloud? If so, please share the steps. I've already gone to the developer site and feel I've done all of their steps. I'm probably missing something minor but can't find it.

Hey guys...my problem is fixed by below methods: (self try) in Windows 8.1
1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Apple Mobile Device Support (right click and then choose change > choose repair) Let it do it stuffs...once it has been completed...just restart your computer (make sure unplug your apple devices from the computer)
2. Go to Device Manager > Portable Devices (right click then choose Update Driver Software)...wait for it to done it stuffs...then automatically you will see under Universal Serial Bus Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
3. Launch your itunes and you should be seeing your apple device is connected.

Unable to sync Applications-tab grayed out

I downloaded a number of Apps from the App Store early this afternoon using iTunes and couldn't get them to sync with my new 3G iPhone. All the choices on the "Applications" tab are grayed out (although I can see the list of apps I downloaded in the window. They're just grayed out and unchecked). I restarted my iPhone and restored from backup and then they loaded. However, just downloaded 10-12 more Apps and the exact same thing is happening. Can anyone help me out? I don't want to have to reset/restart every time I want to load an app. Thanks...

I had enabled restrictions on an iPhone the kids use. I MAY have enabled the restriction that prevents application installation -- thinking it would limit use of the AppStore purchase on the phone.
I removed restrictions and I was able to sync. I'm not sure this is so much a bug as a usability issue.

Iphone 5C and Ipad Mini Retina icloud tabs do not sync?

I have icloud for safari turned on on my iphone 5c and my ipad mini. When I open a website on my iphone 5c I can not see that website on my ipad mini when I hit the icloud icon. Also when I open a website on my ipad mini in safari it wont show that website on my 5c but instead show a website that I opened on my ipad mini a week ago. I tried rebooting the iphone and ipad, I tried signing out of icloud on both devices and signing back in, I turned off icloud and then turned it back on on both devices and nothing seems to be working to get them to sync. Is this a common problem with the new iOS update or am I just going crazy over something stupid?

If you are talking about iCloud tabs, check to make sure you haven't inadvertently turned on private browsing on one or both of your devices. When you do, they will stop syncing iCloud tabs until private browsing is turned off again.

Is there a way to sync your iCloud tabs between my Mac and iOS devices, but without syncing my bookmarks?

I sync my bookmarks between my iPad (3rd gen) and my iPhone 5, but I don't want them to sync with my Mac's because many of the bookmarks I have on my iOS devices are websites designed for mobile devices, or at least they're not the desktop version of them. That just makes it simple for my iOS devices. On my Mac however, I have many websites I don't need or want on my iPhone such as foursquare, Nike+, and PayPal because I already have the apps on my iPhone and iPad. But one thing I realized was that on the Mac, if you want to use iCloud in Safari, there is no option to not sync bookmarks and just use the iCloud tabs, not that I know of anyway. I was hoping there was a way to solve that, one that I might not have seen or thought of yet?

I think that cloud privacy concerns are overdone - especially with Apple who don't have a vested interest in snooping through your data like Google does!
Do you use email? It's stored in the cloud on the providers servers - no matter who the provider is.
Do you use SMS on a phone? They're stored on a server somewhere!
Do you use the internet? The logs are stored at your ISP for some period of time - tracking everywhere you've been.
Thats why I am comfortable to use iCloud for most of my documents. If I want to transfer files very securely, I put them in an encrypted disk image on Dropbox.

If you are having issues dragging music to your iPhone 4 after a recent upgrade to iOS 7, you may want to verify that the phone is still set to "Manually manage music and videos." You may find the following article helpful:

ICloud tabs not working / syncing

I have an iPhone 4 and iPad 2. Both now run iOS 6. iCloud tabs are not working on either device (I just see the cloud icon). I did work throu the troubleshooting (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5372) but no joy. Anyone see this..?

I have an iPhone 4S and an ipad3, both updated to iOS 6. The icloud tab on the ipad doesn't show anything. The icloud bookmarks on the iPhone are showing open tabs from my ipad, but funny thing is...those tabs are no longer open. I've turned off icloud on both devices repeatedly, turned off and on both devices as directed in troubleshooting...still have same result. Very little info on this issue. Spent WAY too much time trying every conceivable solution. Only thing I haven't tried is a total reset of the ipad. I'm trying to be patient and see if there is something simple I'm missing. HELP!

You don't need additional iCloud storage to sync photos.
You need to sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID on both devices and enable Photo Stream.
Settings > iCloud > Apple ID - sign in then enable Photo Stream.
Photo Stream holds 30 days of photos on the server so anything on either device older than that won't sync. Additionally, you can only hold 1000 Photo Stream photos on your iOS device (the oldest will be replaced with the newest). To preserve these photos, they need to be saved to your Camera Roll and transfered to your computer.

Is there a way to get iCloud tabs to sync between my iPod touch and Safari for Windows?

I would like to know if there is a setting or something that I'm missing over...
I already have iTunes and the iCloud Control Panel on my Windows 8 computer. Is the iCloud Tab feature Mac-only or can I get it to sync with Safari for Windows? Thanks for the help.

OS X Lion and Windows 7 users can still sync Bookmarks and the Reading List with iOS devices via iCloud when using Safari 5.1. The iCloud Control Panel 2.1 for Windows also supports syncing Bookmarks with Internet Explorer 9, but not the Reading List as IE simply doesn’t have an equivalent feature.
While not as seamless as the iCloud Tabs feature, Bookmarks and Reading List can still be an effective way to share pages between your Windows 7 PC and your iOS devices; if you’re using Safari on Windows, the Reading List is best for storing and sharing one-time content while Bookmarks obviously are better suited for keeping track of pages that you may want to refer back to more than once.

Unable to sync certain iCal events through 10.7 to iCloud

I am unable to sync "certain" iCal events from my MacBook Air (10.7.5) and iCloud ... which, unfortunately, doesn't allow my iCal event to get to either my other MacBook Pro, iPhones or those to whom I'm attempting to inform of events. Specifically these events have an attachment (Add file) and a "Show in Mail" URL. Now ... iCal automatically loads these two additional attachments when capturing an event off an email.
Bottom Line: Do I need to ensure iCal and Mac Mail NEVER do this, or is there a way to allow these events to be passed through iCloud? Inquiring minds ...

HT5372 Closing iCloud tab from another iOS Device

I have an iCloud tab open on a device that I wiped out and sold. The website is showing up in the cloud on my other devices. How can I close this?

Quote (last sentence http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5372): "If you no longer have access to the device that that you used to browse that tab, the tab will automatically be cleared from the list after 7 days, if not updated."
