I want the address bar to only connect to the site for which I type in the address. If the address I type in cannot be found, all I want is a notification of that fact.

Let's start by turning off address bar search.

Then test again with a nonsense URL. Do you get the expected error?

CC mostly asks for serial number if:
1. There is no CC registered to the ID with which you had signed.
2. There are entries of Adobe in Host files of the computer.
3. The activation count has increased.

I am having issues with dictation working at all, but when it works, it will only give me the words for numbers, not the numbers themselves. Is there a way to let it know I want the numbers?

Dictation seems to spell out words smaller than 10. So if you want numerals for anything zero through nine (I am dictating this, by the way) say the word "numeral" first. This is consistent with the grammatical rule that says you should spell out single-digit numbers. You do get used to it.

I have just read a plea from some-one which sounds exactly like my problem. Suppose I have a list of hyperlinked internet URL's. I want to extract their Internet addresses -- the link locations -- which are essentially hidden in the link text. Is there any way to select and copy the list of hyperlinks, but only copy the link locations, and not the link text?

I figured out how to do it. First, copy the hyperlinks onto a blank RTF document in TextEdit and save the file.
Second, open the file from within TextEdit, and make sure that the box "Ignore rich text commands" is checked in the open file dialog box. In the open document, the hyperlinks from my example in my first post will look like this:

I downloaded ZoneAlarm firewall. It has you install Chrome and choose its search engine when you download. I'd heard these were easily removed afterward. I reset Google in the upper right search bar.

You can force Firefox to ''ignore'' add-on version restrictions by (what else) installing an add-on. Then you can test whether the add-ons important to you actually work in Firefox 5.
