HT5457 Updated to ios6 on my iPad2 I cannot save bookmarks Help.?

Is anyone else having issues with safari since updating ipad2 with thw new ios6? I cannot find my old bookmarks and I cannot save new bookmarks.
How do I fix?

Maunally restore it. In order to do this:
-Download the iOS 5.1.1 firmware from here http://www.redmondpie.com/download-5.1.1-ios-for-iphone-4s-4-3gs-ipad-ipod-touch -direct-official-links/
1. After downloading the firmware from the given link, open iTunes and click on your device.
2. Now press SHIFT on your keyboard and while pressing it click on "Restore".
3. A dialog box will appear.
4. Select the firmware you downloaded and click ok.
5. Done!!! Your iPhone will now be restored to 5.1.1 and if you had backed up your iPod before, then you can put all its settings afterwards.

Okay last night before i did this i had a bad feeling that i should backup.. .But the software update never said that i needed to so i assumed it was safe? but ofcoarse no its not! I should add that this has never been Jailbroken. I keep reading that a lot of times this is the case for a jail broken phone.
I have also gone through the not very helpfull steps on apples site to fix this.. It is not a security issue since i dont have an antivirus or any 3rd party software for my computer.

I very regret updating my ipod touch 4thGen to iOs 6, because a lot of my apps crash, nothing working as it should and the battery life drains like crazy. All of which I can live eith except....
The first time I synced with my computer after upgrading wirelessly, all my songs disappeared, except the one album I bought on iTunes with the iPod. Except that according to iTunes, there is actually 10GB of music in there, just that the music app is unable to recognize it.
Restore to factory settings? Okay, but iTunes also does not seem to recognize that I made a purchase and the album that I previously bought, does not appear in the "Purchased Items" folder !!! So if I restore to factory settings, and see if that works, will I lost all the purchased songs??

Log into your account via iTunes and View Purchase History to see if it is their. You may have to contact iTunes.

Did the update on my iPad. Now I cannot save or share my pictures! Help!!

I Can only save pictures pre update. But I touched up two pictures and now I cannot share or save them to my ipad. When I try to save it just says processing. And nothing happens.

I don't know if we are experiencing the same thing. But this is what I wrote in a separate topic concerning sync problems with the update.
The 1.6 update to the Adobe Photoshop touch app has fixed the crashing issue when trying to sync with the creative cloud. However, for me all is still not well. After I have worked on a pre-existing file in the Photoshop touch app and synced with the creative cloud, I get an explanation point to the left of the file name and not a check. The blue line goes across the file and it says that the sync is complete in the drop-down menu. When you check the file in the creative cloud it hasn't synced. In order to get the change made to the file saved to the creative cloud, I have to rename the file. Is this the way the syncing is intended to work after this update? Am I really suppose to rename the file every time I make a change and want to sync to the creative cloud? Am I really supposed to have to archive and then delete the previous files that did not reflect the change in the creative cloud? Would someone from Adobe please respond?

I just updated to iPhoto 9.3 and now cannot save pictures to EHD

I have an external hard drive that I use to backup all my iPhoto pics. It is formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled), and until the iPhoto update, I could click, drap, and drop into the EHD with no issues. Since the update, I can't save anything to the EHD. Do I have to reformat it again? I've already had to do this once when I upgraded my desktop. Any help/advice would be great.

1. This isn't a back up you hav. If you've been dragging from the iPhoto Window then you're getting previews and not your full scale photos.
2. Most Simple Back Up
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex:
Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically. Examples of such apps: Chronosync or DejaVu . But are many others. Search on MacUpdate

After Mountain Lion update I cannot save iMail photos to iPhoto anymore, how do I solve this?

I just did the update for Mountain Lion and now I cannot save attached photos directly from an e-mail into my iPhoto. I was able to do it before without any problems. Is there a fix for this.

As of 2012-10-11, with all the available fixes installed (10.8.2 + supplemental update and iPhoto 9.4.1), this problem is still present. I have confirmed it on three different machines, all of which had all of the latest updates installed.
Hopefully Apple will address this soon enough — I have no problem working around this issue myself, but my mother found it much more challenging.

IPad2 has been updated to iOS6 and will no longer play UTube favourites. These are favourites that have been previously viewed on iPad2 therefore I know the device is capable of playing them. This upgrade is no longer allowing me to use the device for the reason I bought it.

Updated to IOS6 and now my apps will not update on the Ipad2. I have to delete them and then re-install. But I have several hundred apps and this is cumbersome. Seems the new software is too buggy. I am telling people not to update software yet.

Basic troubleshooting from the Users Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I'm waiting until the next update (iOS 6.1?). iOS 6 doesn't add much for the iPad 2, and you lose YouTube & Google Maps.

Yes, and, I try to restore. I have the T-Mobile sim card in it just to clarify. It will not let me get passed that, it does not accept the t-mobile sim card. i tried restoring it using wifi, cellular, and i cant get i tunes. I am scared that if i take the tmobile sim card out and put the at&t one in just to complete the restoration process that the iphone will lock again and not read the tmobile sim card, then all my hard work has gone for nothing. ( this whole process was caused by me trying wanting to empty my pictures onto my computer because i did not have any storage space left). <--- that may not be as important, but i included it just because.

Unable to load some websites after an update to IOS6

I am unable to load some websites in both Safari and Google Chrome. This did not bother me until I found at that I cannot access some websites I can access before and frequent. I am unsure if this was caused by the update to ios6, but this incident only happened after the update. I am unsure as well if this is related to the problem of me unable to connect to itunes and app store after the update. I've fixed those by changing my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and changing the time trick. I've also noticed that twitter and some apps crashed a lot. I have no problem connecting to the wifi though. Thank you in advance.

Some additional details I have also noticed. Some images will not show or appears as a blue and white question mark in some websites. Even here in apple website.

I recently updated to IOS6 and I cannot sync my calendar to icloud and all my notes are not appearing in cloud. If I have a new calendar entry, it is on my phone, but not on icloud. Need help making sure I don't lose any informaiton.

I recenly updated to IOS6. I have a couple issues after the process.
1- I lost all my calendar entries after the date I upgraded to IOS6 (all before the date were there). I created an icloud account to assure that I would not lose any going forward. Now when I enter a calendar entry, it does not appear on my icloud account. I can enter it in icloud and it will appear on my phone, but not the reverse.
2 - None of my notes transferred into icloud. I tried to manually enter one on icloud, again so I wouldn't lose this information going forward, and it appears on my iphone twice. I cannot figure out how to get the notes currently on my iphone into my icloud account.

you need to do a backup of the old phone and then on your new phone restore from that backup
