Can you block calls from certain numbers

You can also make a contact for those numbers and assign a silent
ringtone to them. The calls will still come in, but you will not hear them
and they will eventually go to vocie mail if you have it set up.
You must do this for each number as wildcards are not accepted in
Contacts, but all the numbers can be listed in one contact.
As Ocean20 has stated above, true call blocking is a function of
your wireless provider.

How can we encourage Apple to develop blocking calls from specific numbers?

Looking through posts on here, I see that neither AT&T nor the iPhone itself permits an iPhone owner to block calls from one or more specific numbers.
For some reason, although I've had my mobile number for years, I've recently started to receive daily calls from one specific number, an ignorant person who calls at all times of the day and night, barely apologizing for yet again dialing incorrectly. Very annoying.
Yes, I know I could change my number, but literally hundreds of people have used this number for years, and I'm truly loathe to start over.
In reading posts here and on AT&T, I gather this is not an uncommon problem. I assume that even if AT&T is unwilling to institute call blocking, this is a problem Apple could solve with iPhone software. What's the best way to encourage Apple to include this in a future iPhone software update?

This would be something ATT would have to do since they provide the actual phone service.
In the meantime, you could create a ringtone of "silence" and assign it to that person's number. This way you wouldn't be disturbed when the person calls until you can work out a solution with ATT.

Hello all,
Is there any option/application in iPhone 4S, IOS6.1.3 where I can block any calls from unknown numbers?
Specifying exactly, I want to receive calls from people only those whose numbers are saved in my phone or say Saved Contacts Only.
Nobody other than that should be able to call me.
That would be of a great help.

There are some options under Settings >Firewall. Open the Settings menu and type Firewall in the search bar. There you can block text messages. Be aware that you will still be charged for the message over the network but the device won't display the message. To keep from being charged for the message you'd need to contact your wireless service provider.
As for phone number blocking you would have to go to Phone >Options. There is a call blocking feature but your provider must support it.

There needs to be an option to block restricted numbers from calling you. All I can find is where you can block specific numbers, but that specific number can still call you simply by putting a block on their number. That defeats the purpose of offering that option...

YouMail is a free voicemail service that gives you a workaround for dealing with restricted or blocked numbers. It's called "DitchMail" - when it sees a blocked or restricted number, the caller gets a recorded message (yours, or DitchMail's default) saying that you do not accept calls from blocked numbers, please unblock and try again - and then it hangs up without giving the caller an opportunity to leave a message.
It doesn't prevent the call from coming in - but it does deal with it so you don't have to. If you see a blocked number coming in, you can always hit End or Ignore, sending them straight to VM or DitchMail.

this is a work around, but so far it works...
download a silent ring tone, import it to I Tunes and sync it to your phone. I found one online by searching for silent ringtone
pick a number you want to block (in my case it was a telemarketer) and add them into your contacts as UNWANTED CALLER.
set the ring tone to SILENT RING TONE, vibration notice to NONE
you can also set the text tone to none and vibration to NONE
now you can add other numbers to the same contact when they call just add to existing contact, choose UNWANTED CALLER and save it.
This does not keep them from being able to call, but your phone does not notify you when they are calling.

Can you block attachments from one sender?

I have someone who emails me from their work email and it includes (ridiculous I know) an attachment in every email which is basically an image of their business card. So I'm wondering if there's a way to filter or block just this image from their account so I don't download it every time. I've tried creating a rule to block it without luck.
Are there any options or is there something I'm missing?

I'm afraid not - as you have found, Rules work only on message which have already been downloaded. The only way to do this would be to set up an equivalent rule on your mail server - a very few ISPs can do this (as it happens my ISP allows setting of rules and this would be possible there) but if yours doesn't, it doesn't.
You can set Mail to ask before downloading messages over a certain size, but that would apply to every message from everybody.

If you have the latest iOS 7 installed on your phone follow the below steps,
Settings>>Phone>>Blocked (Here you can add numbers which you would like to block)

Can you transfer data from one numbers spreadsheet to another using conditional formatting?

I have a tracker document set up for client payments and when I indicate payment received, it flags green using conditional formatting. However I would like these to automatically transfer to another sheet - without having to cut and paste the associated data to the other sheet. Can I set up conditional formatting to do this? If not how could I get and automatic transfer?

Hi Kangers,
There are a number of ways to transfer data from one table to the next. It should not be hard to set up.
Conditional formatting would not be involved it moving the data but you could set it up to flag the data in the new table.
Without knowing what your tables and data look like it is hard to propose a solution.

usually in the phone record show the number who is text you and the phone you sent a message. But since a week a go don't show the number of the person, and I received tons of messages everyday, but on my phone record of text messages don't reflect the phone number. I understand the importance of viewing numbers in your message details hmaldonado. There is an option for individuals to block their number if it is restricted. What do you see on your phone for these messages you are referring to? Is this a number that is stored in your phonebook? Have you checked My Verizon online? Can you see calls from this person? How is it a security breach? You're free to turn off lock screen notifications for the phone app so that no one can do that.... even if they can, they can only call the number that called you... nothing else. (well, except for 900 or whatever the emergency services number is where you are, but that's required by law).
