HT5463 I have an iPhone5,iPad 3 & my daughter an iPod Touch 4th generation. We use Do Not Disturb. It turns by itself at 9:30pm & off at 7:00am. This morning, none of them turned off automatically. I manually backed them up to iTunes yesterday. Any though
I have an iPhone5, and an iPad3 and my daughter has an iPod touch 4th generation and her and I have separate accounts. I backed them up to my PC to iTunes last evening as I do every few weeks. We both use the Do Not Disturb option. Quiet hours are from 9:30pm to 7:00am. The 3 devices always turned the Do Not Disturb on and off according to the schedule on their own. As of this morning, the Do Not Disturb did not turn off on any of the devices. I sync them with iCloud either manually or when charging them. The moon icon stayed on all day today and did not follow the schedule. I had to shut it off manually on my phone. Any thoughts. My daughter initially had used her iPod Touch under an Apple account I made with my information. When I got my iPad and then iPhone5 I created a different account for her. Some items of mine went on her iPod Touch yesterday when I backed them up on iTunes on my PC. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
It seems to be a glitch or bug. Its been officially acknowledged and addressed by Apple. There is no resolution other than waiting for a few days. The Kb article by Apple states it will fix itself on January 7.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4510
Symptoms
After January 1st, 2013, Do Not Disturb mode stays on past its scheduled end time.
Resolution
Do Not Disturb scheduling feature will resume normal functionality after January 7, 2013. Before this date, you should manually turn the Do Not Disturb feature on or off.
To turn off the scheduling feature, tap Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb and switch Scheduled to Off.

Hello all,
I need some assistance with downloading the new iOS 5 software for my iPod touch 4th generation (32GB). Once connected, my iTunes says that a newer version is available and when I click on "update," the standard boxes appear and when i click on "download and update," it appears to download just as expected, but after a few minutes, an error box pops up and says that my "network connection timed out" and to "try again later"...
I have tried to get around this in every which way possible, but the same error box pops up each time. I have checked AND double checked my network and its connections and I am 100 percent sure they are stable. I have downloaded the latest version of iTunes (10.5). I even re-installed it, just in case. I have also tried clicking the "download only" option instead of "download and update"... No different.
In previous discussions, I have inferred that having my media on an external hard drive may cause some issues...? If this is the case, please note that all my media is on an external hard drive that connects to my computer via USB.
I am looking for any and all advice to help resolve this issue as the my warrenty has expired and I do not want to pay for Apple Support. : ) plus, iOS 5 looks so cool and I really really want it!!!!
Please Help!!
Sincerely,
DeannaI disabled all my computer's firewalls and sure enough, IT WORKED!! My iPod is updated and just now finishing restoring! Thank you SOOOO SOOO much. : D

How do you restore a ipod touch 4th generation that you do not have to lock code too?
Hey guys,
I need some help.. my little brother got a ipod touch for christmas last year. He lost it sometime this year, and i found it the other day. When he lost it, it had a lock code on it, and now he can't remember the lock code. Itunes wont let me restore it without the lock code. This is a troublem because we can't do anything with the ipod. If someone knows how to unlock the ipod without the lock code or the serial number being needed that would help a lot. He also doesn't have the serial number because when he got the box he threw it away, and there are too many scratches on the back of the ipod to recover the serial number. Pleasae help.Type "unable to restore" into the search bar at the top of this page by Support and read the resulting help article.

That;s my IPod... I just don't get it....:/
The photo sync is one way - computer to ipod.
You should be importing any pics taken with the ipod regularly as you would with any digital camera. -

When i plug my Ipod touch 4th generation in it goes to the apple screen and then shuts off and then turns back on and goes to a solid blue screen.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I just got a new iPod Touch 4th generation for my daughter. I have a iPhone 5 that is already set up on iTunes. The only thing I want on her iPod from my iTunes is music and apps. How do I set her iPod up so that it only gets that information? Do I set it up as a new device? If so will that alter my iTunes?
Thanks.
llfitYou can set up more than one device on your computer, and iTunes will remember the settings for each of them:

But you'll have to use your Apple ID to sync bought media to her device. Disable all other things you don't want to sync like photos, contacts, etc. -
My iPod touch 4th generation turns off by itself. How can I fix this?
My iPod Touch 4th generation turns off my itself. How can I fix this? This is not the first time this has happened. I usually hold down the home button and the power button at the same time for a few seconds and it'll turn back on but this time that won't work. What should I do?
The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart.. Reset.. Restore from Backup.. Restore as New...
Try this First... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the iPod Off... ( if it isn’t already )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
Turn the iPod On...
If that does not help... See Here:

How do I turn off auto-renewing subscriptions on my iPod Touch 4th Generation. I have followed all the suggestions, but my device does not follow those prescribed steps. Can somone please help me. I'm not very computer savy.
If you go to yur account setting what do you see? The app subscription says:
• Auto-renew may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase and must be turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
If that does not exist, and since eHarmony was not helpful, contact iTunes

I have an IPOD touch 4th generation. When I try to buy apps from apps store and Itunes it says this is the 1st time doing it so wants me to answer security questions. Granddaughter put 2 in the ipod but can't remember them. how do i either change them so I know what they are or just take them out again?
Strange; yesterday there was a link via which you could get a reset email sent, but today that link is missing. So if you've forgotten your answers, there is no way around the problem without involving Apple. Go here:

to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
