HT5502 how to download safari 6.0.1

How to get safari 6.0.1 please

It might be faster to contact the Apple store or reseller or Apple support in your particular region, and request assistance more directly.
To continue here, please tell us what OS X version you have now, what version of Safari you have installed, and what's happening with Safari when it's not working.
Some general details follow — I'm not clear on what's happening here — and I do not know what if any of the following will apply to your case.
There is no Apple-provided separate Safari upgrade — nor any Safari downgrade — for OS X.  It's part of the OS X installation and upgrade kits.
If some version of Safari was directly onto your OS X system through some means other than with an OS X update and if something has gone wrong with the results of that, then reinstalling the most recent combo update or reinstalling the whole operating system are the usual paths to resolution.
If some version of Safari was not installed here and there are problems with a standard Mountain Lion installation, then try the following.  If you have any Safari extensions or plug-ins or any "haxies" (input managers) around, try disabling or removing them, and test Safari again.  Alternatively, try a completely different login, and see if Safari works in that other user login.
If you have an older OS X release and need to do Mountain Lion development, then you will need to purchase and upgrade to a newer version of OS X.  The OS X version upgrade — and subsequent OS X updates — will upgrade Safari.
Here is a previous (and details) discussion of the available OS X upgrade path; of acquiring 10.6 Snow Leopard if you need that, then of acquiring either 10.7 Lion or Mountain Lion 10.8 — depending on whether your Mac is supported by Mountain Lion.  If your Mac is not supported by Mountain Lion, then there is no supported way to use it to develop for Mountain Lion.

  • How to download Safari for 10.4.8

I am wondering how it is possible to download Safari for my iBook (10.4.8) as I trashed it a while a go by accident and now want it back! Is it on any of the CDs that cme with my iBook originally?
Also are there any other decent internet applications, other than: Safari, Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer?
Many thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi freddiebroders!
    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
First of all yes Safari is on your restore cd's. It's part of the operating system.
Second your options are pretty much what you mentioned but I would not include IE in that group because it's outdated and unsupported. You could possibly add Netscape in there instead as some people use that. (It's worth noting there are a few people who do choose to keep IE because it's accesses a site or two that other browsers can't.)
Now with those browsers mentioned there are other browsers that are built from the same "engine" but offer other user features. Here's a few more if you want to keep on testing...
Shiira, OmniWeb - same engine as Safari
Camino, BonEcho - same engine as Firefox
There are a few more for sure...I haven't tested them all. A good general rule is keep your Safari and keep a Gecko browser on hand too (Firefox, Camino, or others with same engine) as that will get you the best compatibility. If there is a site out there that is designed 100% for IE on windows there's not much you can do. Even the old IE on Mac is not likely to work. But most everything on Mac works with Safari or Firefox. I personally use Camino which is basically Firefox for Mac.
    Hope that helps?

  • HT5275 how to download safari from apple website

i have uninstall safari from mountain lion and now i am unable to download safari please help me or give me a link to direct download. I don't know how to download i tried many diffrent ways to download but failed..

If Safari had been deleted, then installing it from the 10.8.2 combo update with Pacifist will not work. The 10.8.2 combo update only contains a partial copy of Safari 6.0.1. Most of the files that comprise the Safari application were not modified between 6.0 and 6.0.1, so they are not included in the 10.8.2 combo update. The end result is a non-functional application with the wrong icon that is only about 10% of the correct size (I tried it).
Using Pacifist to install Safari from the Mountain Lion installer will work, but if your copy of the installer is for an older version (i.e. 10.8 or 10.8.1) you would also need to manually install Safari from the 10.8.2 combo update using Pacifist (on top of the older version, so it updates the appropriate files) or just run the 10.8.2 combo install normally.
If you don't want to use Pacifist, then it is not difficult to reinstall the entire operating system (which won't require wiping anything), then reinstall the 10.8.2 combo update if your OS installer is an older version. This method will just take longer, and may require re-downloading the roughly 4.3 GB Mountain Lion installer or the roughly 650 MB 10.8.2 combo update. You need the Mountain Lion installer for either method anyway.

  • How to download Safari Mac from a PC?

I'm on a Windows PC right now, but I need to download Safari for my MBA. I want to download the dmg to the PC, copy it to a flash drive, and copy it to the Mac.
However, I don't get a choice of which version I want. I can only get the Windows version. Where is there a link to get the Mac version?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hi
the above is a bit misleading, since although indeed it's true that the official download page will only show windows versions on a windows computer....as I posted in this thread it's possible ( or was when I tested...) to access 'em directly.

  • How to download Safari 6.1 dmg for install

I would like to download Safari 6.1 dmg to install later on both of my macs. (to save on my data usage) Where is the download?
The App Store seems to want to install only....
With the larger file sizes, I seem to eat up all of my data usage early on if I download updates individually for each mac I own.
    Any help would be appreciated.
By the way.... I've looked and I do not find Safari 6.1 in Support>Downloads>Browse by Product>Safari

Unfortunately, it's not available as an independent download.
If you should ever need to reinstall Safari on a Mac running v10.8 (as noted in your profile) you would have to use OS X Recovery which requries a broadband (high speed) connection.

  • HT1338 how to download safari 6 on mountain lion again after delete it

    hi
I delete the safari browser by mistake , how can I download it again .
there isn't any download link on safari website

If you haven't emptied the trash, move it back.
    Restore it from your backups.
If you saved the installer, reinstall OSX.
Last resort, download and install OSX again.

  • How To Download Safari 4.0.3

I just updated iTunes, unfortunately now it will not let me on the store because I do not have version 4.0.3 or higher of Safari. Of course, I went to the site and downloaded it. Whenever I do, though, it begins the download as the regular .dmg however it changes to a .pkg in the end and I have no program that it can be opened with. Did I accidentally delete a program? Am I doing something wrong? I had this issue earlier with flip4mac, but I assumed it was just something with the website, but now that apple's downloads are acting strange, I'm beginning to think it might be more serious.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I can get the update to download, but when you normally open the package and it updates itself, it will not allow me, claiming I have no application appropriate for it.

  • How to download safari?

I accidentally deleted Safari.... How do I get it back?

You may have moved it or added it to a folder but you cannot delete it or any ofthe other default apps.
Swipe to the right to reveal the leftmost screen which is the search screen. Search for Safari, you'll find it!

  • How can I download Safari to my ipod touch? I had it on there, but I accedently erased it.

I have no idea how to download Safari to my Ipod Touch. Can Someone help me?

    Safari can't be deleted but:
    - It can be hidden by Restrictions. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions to check. It is passcode protected.
    - It just might be where you can't find it. Use the Spotlight search on the iPod and try to find it.

  • HOW DO I DOWNLOAD SAFARI????!!

Hi all, forgive the caps. I've been trying to download Safari for the last one hour unsuccessfully.
Just switched from Linux to an old iMac, reinstalled it with Mac OSX and to my horror the default browser is IE5 (I have lived IE-free for a few years now!). Tried to download Safari from this bloody IE5 and can't. Every link on the 'net points back to apple.com/safari/download and there's this FRAME that IE5 just won't render. After like 10mins, there is a form with option (Leopard vs Tiger) and your email address, and then it says my session has timed out!
So I haven't been able to get safari. Would somebody point out just how i can get just the bloody binary. It has never been frustrating to install a software. Not even in Linux.

  • How do I download Safari for Mountain Lion?

How do I download Safari for Mountain Lion? It's not in the App Store, it is nowhere on the Apple website . . . OK, so I guess it is supposed to be part of Mountain Lion, but I am running Mountain Lion and whatever version of Safari I ended up with would not even run at all . . .  so I trashed it (or at least what part of it I was allowed to trash) and though reinstalling it would be a good idea . . . but I can't find one to reinstall. The latest version I can find is for Leopard, and of course that won't run.
Not to mention that since getting Mt Lion, iPhoto won't run . . . it produces an error message saying I need to check with the developer to make sure it runs with this version of OS X! So I wonder who the developer of iPhoto is, who produces software that is incompatible with Mt Lion???
And even in submitting this there is no option to tag it for any OS later than 10.7.4!!

Since Safari is crashing, post a crash report...   reinstalling the OS X rarely helps a browser crash issue.
If Safari has just crashed, press the Report button on the CrashReporter dialog box to view the crash  information.
Copy/paste the entire contents of the Crash Reporter window into your reply. If the crash report dialog does not appear or the crash is hard to reproduce, crash logs can be retrieved from the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter> folder.
Please include the "binary images" section...

I inadvertently trashed safari for OS X 10.6.8; how do I download safari for my Imac OS X 10.6.8  ?

There's a complete Safari within  - Security Update 2013-001 (Snow Leopard)
I wonder if (re) applying that would do it, or Ralph & Eric's Safari 5.1.7 link first, if the update fails to replace a missing Safari.

Thank you for your help.  Another questions.  For a small business firm of 10 computers what would you suggest the best server.  We now are all pc's but eventually I want to upgrade to Apple.  I currently have the Small Business Server.
Sorry to say that Apple isn't the best choice in that department as they are primarily a consumer products company, they don't cater to business needs with their offerings.
Phill Scheiler actually said they are interested in the 50% share of the consumer market.
Apple has discontinued their X-Server and now OS X server is really just a hobbyist pursuit, not a serious business solution. The Mac Pro hasn't been updated in ages.
Mac's can be used on Windows, Unix and Linux servers, but on that side of things it's best to use the services of a local server technician. Linux costs nothing for the licenses and is very secure and highly configurable.
You also can go Red Hat Linux which is a commercial  version of Linux which requires licenses, but you get the better security and reliability plus business support.
All I can suggest is evaluate your local offerings from many of those type local server business services in you area and go from there. You'll likely be a mixed shop for quite some time or perhaps forever as some won't give up Windows like some won't give up their Mac's.
Also Mac's are not very cost effective anymore, Apple changes the operating system annually which require new software/paid upgrades, Windows 7 will last another decade and offer desktop models that parts can be exchangesd or replaced in house, unlike Mac's which one has to bring it in and AppleCare expires in three years.
So buisnesss and profit speaking Windows is pretty good, but if your like Google who has a big bank account then replacing Mac's every couple of years is nothing.
