Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the page that opens.
Select the System keychain in the list of keychains in the sidebar of the window. If you don't see the list, click the down-arrow icon below the sidebar.
Then select Passwords in the Category list at lower left. Click the Kind heading in the list of keychain items to arrange it by Kind.
Locate the AirPort Disk Password with the name of your Time Capsule. Double-click the item and check the box marked Show Password in the inspector window that opens. You'll be prompted for the administrator login password. Make a note of the AirPort password, then close the inspector window and delete the item.
Also delete any other AirPort DIsk Password items for that same Time Capsule, which may have had a different name in the past.
Quit Keychain Access and try again to back up.

Open Disk Utility and select your hard drive, then Repair Permissions, it will probably return a very large number of errors, primarily printer and library errors, so run it a second time. Then restart the MacBook Pro. If it still will not scan, try using Image Capture from Finder > Applications and see if that will work. If not, contact Xerox about updated drivers.

Macbook Pro 2011 is not showing Mirror Icon on menu bar for ATV

I just Downloaded Mountain Lion os x on my Macbook Pro 10.8. The mirroring icon was on my menu bar but when I restarted my computer it was gone. I went into System Preferences-displays and clicked "Show mirroring options" but it still isn't showing up. ATV is up to date and is running on 5.0.2.

My cd/dvd drive is inop on my 13inch macbook pro and will not show a disc or eject it

cd/dvd drive will not work and will not display any disc in the drive. I have been unsucsessful in trouble this and the blank cd-r currently in the drive won't even eject manually even with a restart.

1) Shut down
2) Wait until iMac has completely powered off
3) Hold down mouse button
4) Power on iMac and continue to hold down mouse button
5) Listen for sound of drive cycling itself (makes the sound of ejecting a disk)
6) Let mouse button go
7) Log in as normal

Everything has been updated and my Macbook Pro is still not recognizing my iphone 5s. HELP! I'm super frusterated.

OS X 10.9.1 itunes 11.1 and a an iphone 5s. Nothing recongizes my iphone on computer. I have shut everything down and restarted it (comp and phone) and I can't set up my new device. I am SUPER frusterated and just want to put some music on my phone. I have been at this for 3 hours and all of the advice is the same...upgrade...or shut down and restart. I have done this all and nothing works. Are these just cliches from Apple?

Thats a start. Why are you using Chrome? Of the three main browsers Chrome is probably the worst. Try Safari or Firefox. I'm not familiar with GlimmerBlocker or BackBlaze, you might try disabling them to see if things improve. I don't see any other software related issues.
Edit: FlashPlayer is out of date. Update that by entering www.adobe.com into your browsers address bar and follow the links ro FP. Never click on a link to update software.....too many redirects to tainted installers.

I had issues in 10.4.7 as well as 10.4.8.
My problems occurred at the beginning of 10.4.8, then many users brought light to me using WEP, which was not working that great. I changed my connections to WPA2 and my problem has disappeared. If my problem didn't resolve the way it did, I would have mentioned it the next time I visited an apple store.
The bottom line is that assumptions, complaining, and self diagnostics don't get many people very far and bringing the problem to apple helps them know the incidence of this problem, and helps them develop a reliable solution.
Though some users have reported the "cold shoulder" when reporting Airport problems to apple... I hope you weren't one of them.
