  • Trying to create file storage space on Azure

I want to create file storage space on azure.
I am using Powershell software with step by step example of tamram . Here is the url: azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/storage-dotnet-how-to-use-files
After you created a storage account you need to create the storage account context with the following command.
     $ctx=New-AzureStorageContext blackboxvideo KbG/0me7bFo/30iAjnqvs9DqKOcpIdEjfdOWE0ID7WBXykyys+PrEiJ8GlcryLg7DfMhI 7/spw59fhoRtOfrmw==
Then the next step is to create file share with the following command:
    $s =New-AzureStorageSharesampleshare
    -Context$ctx
When I do this I get the following error:
New-AzureStorageShare : The remote name could not be resolved: 'blackboxvideo.file.core.windows.net'
    At line:1 char:6
    + $s = New-AzureStorageShare sampleshare -Context $ctx
        + CategoryInfo
    : CloseError: (:) [New-AzureStorageShare], StorageException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : StorageException,Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Commands.Storage.File.Cmdlet.NewAzureStorageShar

The file storage is activated on my profile. What am I doing wrong?

Ok so 3 things, first, NEVER share your account name and private key out.
Second, go to the management interface (management.windowsazure.com), go to storage, go to this storage account and go into the manage access keys and regenerate this key (that resets it hopefully before someone has accessed it).
Third, open azure powershell and do a Get-AzureStorageAccount and check your urls and settings for the storage account.make sure your endpoints are correct.

  • I have too many Audiobooks on my Laptop and I need the storage space, how to go about removing them from my computer but not losing the stories

I need to open up some more "storage" space on my laptop... My Audio books are taking up a lot, so I'd like to take them off my laptop by still have them for another listen.  How do I do this?

Move the entire iTunes library to an external drive, launch iTunes with the Option key held down, choose that library, and back it up to a second external drive.

  • Storage space - How to save adjustments and economize on storage need

I am workeing in PSE 8.  I would like to know how I best save processed images while economizing on personal storage space requirements.  I.E. If I save a version of a 15 GB image does this take 30 GB's of storage for the original plus version?  If I save an image as a newly named image what is the impact.  I wish to retain a copy of my original RAW file while having access to one or several processed versions.  If I save numerous versions of an image do all impose a full (original) atorage space requirement or only a small file that represents a version recipie that relates to the original RAW file?  What is the most economical strategy?

To start with, most users want to keep there original files (raw or jpeg). The most economical way of storing version sets applies when you can do all your edits in ACR. Your edits are saved in a tiny .xmp sidecar files, negligible in size. Just clicking 'Done' saves your edits. Clicking 'open' lets you open the file in the editor, from which you can print or save the file in various formats such as jpeg, pdd or tiff. If you only print you don't even need to save anything. If you don't add any edits in the editor, you don't need to save the result : ACR will keep all the previous settings.
Now, if you have to do ulterior edits in the editor, most of the times a jpeg with high quality  will be what you want for a quality printing, say 1 to 2 megabytes.
That's not a real problem for size.
If you use a lot of layers and want to keep a record of sophisticated edits, you'll choose psd or tiff formats, which will produce big files. In many cases, you'll choose this procedure until you are satisfied the edits are definitive, and delete those files and only keep jpegs or a flattened psd or tiff.

  • HT6162 I can't upload ios7 bc I don't have enough storage space, how can I increase the storage space w/o paying more money

How can I increase my storage. I have been trying to upload the latest iOS & can't bc I don't have enough room & I really don't have a lot of apps.

You cannot increase your storage capacity at all.
You can remove content from your iphone or you can update via itunes on your computer.

  • To save storage space, how do I remove unused audio files from iMovie on my iPhone.

I'm using iMovie on my iPhone 4S and I'm unable to export my movie due to space restrictions.  So I went to clear out some memory space but still it wasn't enough.  Then I noticed there are about 20 audio files that I don't need in the movie.  But there doesn't seem to be a way to delete the files.  Am I wrong?  Can I get them off the iPhone to free up more space?
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Safari 5.0.5 freezes & crashes when trying to view pdf

For some reason safari 5.0.5 freezes & crashes when trying to view pdf
Any ideas how to fix this issue?

    Hi
    that's usually due to a plug-in over-riding Safari's built-in pdf support.
Quit any browsers & remove any 'pdf...' plugins from either of these folders
    Home/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
    Mac HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/

When I Go to settings, there is 10.6 GB available
    What is the deal?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

    Also:
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

  • Storage Spaces

I have started playing with storage spaces at home to see how it works and to possibly use at work. I am using parity (just using it for a media server for movie storage) and I have 3 5TB drives, 2 500GB drives and 3 1TB drives. If I want to remove the 500GB
drives for the storage space how can I migrate the data off of them 1 at a time and "retire" the drive and then remove it from the system all together without replacing it with a different drive. I want to end up with just the 3 5B and 3 1TB drives.
    Thank you

    Hi,
Generally speaking, only when ufficient space does not exist in the storage pool to tolerate this removal, then data loss can result (the user is warned about this).  Conversely, if your current Storage space is enough, it won't data and you can remove
    the 500G disk safely.

  • I am trying to edit my music list and then sync it to my iPhone 5 so I don't run out of storage space. However, I see the check marks on the iTunes library but am unable to uncheck them? How do I manually edit what will be synced to my phone?

I am trying to edit my music list and then sync it to my iPhone 5 so I don't run out of storage space. However, I see the check marks on the iTunes library but am unable to uncheck them? How do I manually edit what will be synced to my phone? (the check marks are not bolded, does this mean they are not in my library but only on my phone?)

You uncheck the music in your iTunes library on your computer and along with sync only checked songs and videos selected under the Summary selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, only checked songs in your iTunes library will be transferred to your iPhone or remain on your iPhone and the unchecked songs in your iTunes library that are currently on your iPhone will be removed when syncing.
Or make use of iTunes playlists and choose selected playlists, albums, artists under the Music selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and select the playlists below that you want transferred to your iPhone.

  • I'm trying to buy more storage on my iPad but when I get to the "buy" button, it has my old Apple ID and I can't go any farther. I've changed my Apple ID on all my devices, logged out, logged back in, rebooted, etc., but that one area still has old one.

You can't buy more storage on an iPad. You are referring to space on iCloud and that probably won't accomplish what you are trying to do.
