HT5538 Cannot access FaceTime or iMessage - it will not go onto 3rd step
I cannot use Face time, once I've entered my apple ID and selected my email address it just goes back to the 1st step and when someone has tried to FaceTime me it just rings on their end. I used to use FaceTime so it did work before.

with the bamboo fun have disk which has been registered under another old email account. This has compounded by the inability for the adobe photoshop element unable to install onto my pc. it continues to state, cannot install as your pc does not have the shockwave player. My Ipad is completely dead so I cannot open to determine serial number. When I call into support center they want erial number but when I try alternate means it says locked passcode. Will not synch . How can I get help

new ipod touch purchased for xmas used to facetime and imessage but now asks for password over and over again. i know the password is correct, im logged into itunes, ive restarted it, etc... ive even opened a new email account and tried that. nothing works - help!

I cannot get Facetime or IMessage to work on my IPad. It isn't recognizing my Apple ID or password. I have tried to change my password a couple times and it still keeps kicking me out of it. What am I doing wrong? My id and password work for everything else!
Can anyone help?Settings\iCloud - Account is your Apple ID appearing here and is the place for your password full of stars. The password needs to be the password for the email account - not your Apple password.
Once you have checked this go to Icloud main page and ensure mail is on.
Go to home screen and tap on Mail App - check that you can access your mail and your .me.com email account.
The check settings\General\Restrictions and ensure facetime is On if restrictions is enabled - alternatively turn restrictions off if you wish.
Both services you require run through the cloud and need an active .me.com account to set up initially. the default account can be changed from your @me.com later if you prefer.
Also note that once iMessage is active - go to settings\iMessage and ensure your Apple id main email is listed in the Receive at Field. -

My iMessage screen is locked horizontally and will not rotate. When I access the camera through iMessage it will not rotate either. Any help with this will be very much appreciated.

7.1 update to IPad now unable to use FaceTime and iMessage says could not sign in check your network connection. Why am I seeing this when I am connected?
Check Settings>General>Date & Time>Set Automatically>On. Make sure that the time zone setting is also set correctly.
If that didn't solve the problem, restart your iPad and try again. If that fails, reset your iPad and try again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I changed my server at the end of May & all worked well until the past week end since when I am getting a message saying that I cannot get email because the server will not connect - although it does. It also claims that it was last backed up on Friday last despite having had several emails since Friday. What has happened & can I get email back to normal?

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
