How to permanently delete unwanted books on iBooks?

Well, it is possible to delete it permanently.
At first I should notice the problem is that, when you delete a book from ibook in mac the notification which comes up tells that the book would remain in icloud so you have to delete it from icloud.
To do this, open itunes, click on itunes store link on top right, now your your apple id should be show up on top left side, now click on books link next to app store on top, this full page is apple bookstore, on the right bar under "books quick links" you would see "purchased", click on it.
THESE ARE ALL THE BOOKS YOU HAVE BOUGHT. IF YOU SLIDE OVER EACH OF THEM YOU WOULD SEE A "X" SIGN ON TOP LEFT SIDE OF EACH COVER CLICK ON IT, BY DOING SO YOU WOULD DELETE THE BOOK FOREVER FROM ICLOUD IN YOUR APPLE ACCOUNT.
BY NOW IF YOU DELETE THE BOOK FROM YOUR IBOOKS APP IN YOUR MAC, IT WOULDN'T TELL YOU THAT IT WOULD BE STORED IN ICLOUD.
YOU'VE DELETED THE BOOK FROM YOUR MAC AND YOUR ICLOUD APPLE ACCOUNT. AND YOU WOULDN'T SEE IT ANYMORE.
YOUR DONE.

I was unable to delete a book sample from my iPhone 5s running iOS 7. This seems to be what worked for me. I went to the Library and clicked "edit" in upper right side of the screen. I then tapped one time on the book I wanted to remove and a blue check appeared at the bottom right corner of that book (presumably you could tap several at a time) Anyway, when the blue check is on the book, you will see in the upper left of the screen the word "Delete" (mine was in red) I clicked that and then a confirming dialog came up from the bottom of the screen with the choices of "delete" or "cancel". I can select it for deletion but when I press Delete nothing happens. It deletes off iTunes on my computer with no problem. All the articles I've found just say it will stay in Purchased in case I want to download it again, but I won't so I want it gone completely.

You can delete it from the bookshelf on your device via the Edit button at the top of the bookshelf.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?

How do I delete a book from iBooks which is already partially downloaded? It's from the iBooks store (free), but now frozen. It does not respond to "pause" or "delete" but will not continue to download either. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Problem resolved. Once I downloaded another book, logging into Apple account, it started the new book downloading and the partially downloaded book (frozen), finally completed its download. Now I can use it or delete it as normal.

Most items purchsed with your Apple ID can't be permantently deleted from the purchase history. However you can hide them.

I am still finding my way around Aperture and have made a couple of errors when creating book themes. I now want to delete those unwanted themes. I have looked in the Aperture Help and the Aperture User Guide, but I cannot find anyway to delete unwanted book themes.

I am operating a Macbook Pro with Mac OS 10.9.1. Maverick.

The custom themes get installed in your user library in the folder:
~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Book Themes/
Your User Library may still be hidden - the default sinceMacOS X Lion.
Quit Aperture and open it from your "Home" folder:
Select the "Home" folder icon (the little house) in the Finder's sidebar and press the key combination ⌘J to open the view options. Enable "Show Library Folder".
Then open the Home folder and open the Library folder inside and navigate to
~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Book Themes/
Remove your own themes and shut down and restart your system.

I know how to delete addresses (cards, individuals) from the address book, but how do I delete unwanted addresses from the mail-program memory, or maybe it's the address-book memory? Whatever it is, it stores the addresses of everybody I ever communicate with whether they're physically in my address book or not.
Now my wife has a new e-mail address, her old one is no longer functional, but every time I type her name into the "to" box, it automatically fills in the old address. How do I get rid of it?
