HT5550 Locating frequently used audio in a single Event in FCPX 10.1?

I have a bunch of audio files that I regularly use to score my podcasts. I am just starting to figure out this new 10.1 update. Instead of copying them into each new "Event" (or "Project" now that it appears the project files are contained within the event files), it seems like it might be easier to create an "Event" that houses all of those audio files and then just link to them.
I understand that doing this means that if I ever move the audio "Event" that EVERY other event or project that references it will now have to be redirecting/relinked to the updated location, but honestly, I have not ever moved the source folder for the audio. I have organized my system so that all of the audio is contained in an easily accessible folder on my external hard drive. It seems like a good idea to have all of the audio contained in an easily accessible "Event" in the new FCPX 10.1.
Am I right? Is there a flaw in my thinking? Let me know if you need more info to answer the question.

I have some 'standards' for my weekly sports-reports, all collected in some extra Event 'Standards'.
Now with FCPX10.1., I' looking forward to create such an Event in each 'Season'-Library, but without importing the files = to keep'em where they are now, on some ext. HDD. On edit of each project, I can switch inside the Lib to that Event, apply clips as needed.
When season is over, I'll close that Lib, create the next, create again an 'Standards'-Event, ... - and no extra space on my 'working' hard-drive...
I haven't done that - the whole process of 'updating' my terabytes of data is some nice&cozy holiday-work
For my needs, these new 'Libraries' are perfect:
one season = 1 lib, 1 game = 1 Event with 3 - 6 cameras, 1 report = 1 project
one fast harddrive = actual game, one slow harddrive = 'standards', another slow one = final export - easy!
(plus a couple of extra drives for back-ups)

The only difference is the installation method and the ownership verification. The program still is installed on and runs from your local machine. You only have to hook up to the internet every 60-90 days to verify ownership.

Hello! I am looking for an area in Photoshop to place & view frequently-used files, and open those files on a quick single-click. This would replace "Command-O & navigating through network drives to locate files every time. Also looking for a visual solution without creating an action.) How do I synchronize multiple *sequential* clips using audio waveforms in Premiere Pro CC?

I recorded a concert at my kids' school. I ended up with:
Video in six separate clips (video+audio) from my Canon 5D Mark III camera
A single audio clip from my Zoom H4n recorder
The 5D Mark III can only record clips of up to 4GB in size, and clips 30 minutes in length. The clips broken up by the 4GB size limit are adjacent to each other, but the clips broken up by the 30-minute limit have a stop-pause-restart gap of a few second.
On past such projects, I have used PluralEyes 3.0 to synchronize the clips. But PluralEyes converts each stereo audio track into dual mono tracks, which I don't like.

It also shows how to synchromize multiple concurrent video+audio clips with another audio clip, for multi-camera editing. But it doesn't show how to synchronize multiple sequential video+audio clips, as I got from my Canon 5D Mark III.
It seems that every time I select multiple video clips, the Synchronize item in the pop-up menu is disabled. When I select only the first video clip and the full-duration audio clip, I can synchronize them with audio waveforms. But then when I try to select the second video clip and the full-duration audio clip and synchronize them, it breaks the sync of the first video cilp
Can Premiere Pro CC synchronize multiple sequential video clips using the audio waveform method?

I'm an editing newbie but this was the very first task I needed to do, i.e. align multiple video clips with a single audio track. My setup is similar. I'm shooting with a Canon 70D, which breaks up video into 4gb clips, which are continuous and easy to align end to end. But the 70D like the 5D only shoots for 30 minutes continuously, so a second or two is lost hitting record again. My external audio was recorded continuously with a camera mounted Tascam (like a zoom) with a line in to the camera. So, in theory, the audio should be the same on the external audio and the audio associated with the video clips, which probably helps the software identify the identical wave forms.
I found that I could roughly align the video clips based on the audio wave forms and then "synchronize" the audio as shown in the video (Merge clips automatically using audio waveforms | Adobe Premiere Pro CC tutorials). I found that this aligned the audio perfectly but separated the video from its associated audio track. But it's easy to select the video and snap it back into alignment with its audio. While it would be nice to have everything merge automatically, using synchronize sequentially did not take much time.

The person on the other end reports still being able to hear me, however, I suppose they could hear me speaking over another source even if bluetooth disconnected. The loss of audio is always preceded by a quick shrill noise, so I can easily tell when it happens. All I have to do to fix the problem is to select Audio Source on the call screen, temporarily switch audio back to the iPhone, and then switch back to the headset, and then it starts working again.

Really nice Headset unless you own an Iphone 5. I own several Plantronics headsets and have always loved the quality/ performance. This headset seems not to be compatible with the new Iphone 5. In the middle of a conversation it will lose all incoming audio. This leaves you trying to switch audio sources really fast in order not to lose your phone call. Ive tried 3 legend headsets and they all do the same thing. Hopefully this gets fixed soon because the headset is really nice
Since this issue appears to affect multiple headsets from multiple vendors, I think it is fair to conclude that it is an issue with the iPhone5 bluetooth itself.
I am posting this as a new discussion as I don't see any other posts specific to this iPhone 5 Bluetooth issue. I would have reported this as a problem to Apple, but don't seem to be able to find a way to do this on the web. Hopefully they are already aware, but if not, maybe they will see i here.

here is an interesting thing: take the iphone and set lock screen to never. Now make an email with siri--be sure to activate her with call button. get to the body and get some text in there. then just stop talking. LOCK SCREEN APPEARS!!!!!! and of course you draft is gone.
There does seem to be a work around for some--maybe all these issues. Don't use the call button--use the buttons on the phone.
Siri seems to behave properly with scenerio above---sans call button. She does not go to lock.

My Iphone5 was replaced and having same Problem. Only does this when using bluetooth for talking.

I have the exact same issue... I've been using a Jabra Extreme2 and just this weekend, bought a Plantronics Marque2 and today had the same issue, so it's clearly not the headset but the phone or OS.
I might try a restore and see if it helps...

Prior version to new one had facility to bring up frequent used sites. Now very frustrated, as I have to type in these sites each time I use the new system. I wish I had not upgraded! Now takes much longer. There is no stream lining here.

When I would use laptop before installing upgraded latest version of mozilla. I could go to frequent used site log and just click on a site and I would be straight into site of preference. Now this no longer exists with new version. I cannot find this anywhere, so now I have to type in each site I need access to. You have made it far less easier to use and it is much slower. Am I missing something here? Like google with there chrome version it is worse not better. I removed that too. Please advise otherwise your latest version will go the same way!

Multi-caming merged clips using audio

I'm working on a music-driven piece. The video was shot on Red Epic while the on-set audio was recorded separately and delivered as .wav files. The piece has actors performing to a pre-recorded musical guide track. I'd like to synch the audio and video using the merge clips function, via slate; then I'd like to align those merged clips to the pre-recorded guide track that the actors performed to. Ideally this would be done using the audio waveforms synching function. But it seems I can't multi-cam the merged clips this way. I'd like confirmation of this from someone who isn't as new to Premiere as I am; and perhaps another workflow suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Frequently used SQL ought to be retained in the library cache without pinning. Oracle only starts flushing stuff from the cache once it's full and then it ages out the least-recently used queries.
So, if you have a persistent problem with excessive reloading of frequently used queries you may need to reconsider the value of your shared_pool_size.

In photoshop elements 6, as far as i know, you can only change the Reference Point Location for transforms using the small grid in the left hand corner of the tool options bar with Transform enabled.

I have also deleted the account entirely from my address book. I have have run repair permissions and also full defrag in iDefrag. Still the problem persists. Any suggestions?
