HT5569 how to set a prefered Wireless LAN list on iphone

I wan to set a list to tell WI-FI joing this network (XA) firstly if not available join (XB) and so on.
Is there any feature like this on the iphone, i am using iphone 5 with IOS 7

It depends on where is contacts are on his phone.  If they are stored locally in the "On My iPHone" account, all he would need to do is go to Settings>iCloud, sign in with his Apple ID to create his account (or sign in with an existing iCloud ID if he already has one) and turn Contact On.  They will then upload to his iCloud account.
If they are being synced with an external service such as Gmail, Yahoo, an exchange account, etc., they will have to be copied to his iCloud account in order to sync them with iCloud.
Unless you already know, have him open the contacts app on his phone and tap Groups (if he has any contact groups).  Does he have any non-iCloud accounts listed, such as On My iPhone, Gmail, Yahoo or an exchange account?  Also have himego to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contacts section).  Does he have the Default Account setting in the Contacts section, and if so, what is selected as his default account?

  • How to set up a wireless private bubble at paid hotspot? WTR54GS

    Hi,
I have the WTR54GS travel router. Reading the manual I understand I can create a private wifi bubble with the WTR54GS to share a hot spot.
    From the manual:
"You can also use multiple devices on a single hotspot account in a coffee shop or airport lounge and be protected with WPA Personal encryption or a powerful SPI firewall".
I've successfully used the WTR54GS as an AP with the router connected by cable to a wired Internet source.
But how do I set it up to receive one wifi signal then rebroadcast as a private "bubble" I don't see any specific settings in the setup or descriptions in the manual. Maybe it's easier than I think?
If possible I'd like to be able to use a B wifi device (my PDA) at a place that's only broadcasting G.
    thanks.

The WTR54GS (wireless travel router) is often confused with the WRT54GS (wireless router), because of their similar names.
The WTR54GS (Travel Router) can accept an Internet connection from an ethernet cable or an unsecured wireless network.  This is set up using the very first item on the router's setup pages, namely "Incoming Internet type" which can be set to "wired" or "wireless".  The key thing here is that the WTR54GS cannot use an encrypted wireless system for its incoming Internet connection.
It can then generate a secured (WEP, WPA, or WPA2) wireless LAN, under your own unique SSID, and you can connect several wireless computers to it.  (If you have a switch, you can also connect several wired computers to it.)
If you are trying to use the router to share a single paid unsecured wireless connection, then it should work.  Be sure when you sign up that you use the router, so the service recognizes the router's MAC address (and not your computer's MAC address) as a "paid" user.
If you are trying to use the router to provide security, this will not happen with this type of a "wireless network-to-wireless network" setup.  The reason for this is that all your transmissions ultimately are passed unencrypted between the WTR54GS and the hotel's wireless router.
On the other hand, if you use a wired "Incoming Internet Connection", then the router works quite nicely at setting up a shared and secure wireless network.  ( This assumes that the wire you are using is secure. )
By the way, your wireless b device should easily be able to connect to a wireless g network.

  • How to set up different virtual LANs (using the E3200)?

    Hi.
I would like to set up different virtual LANs (using the E3200) so that I can have two different networks that can't access each other.
The E3200 is connected to a modem for internet access.
I would like both networks to have access to the internet.
Does the E3200 alone support creating virtual LANs?
If not, is there another way I can meet the requirement using the E3200 alone (using something other than virtual LANs)?
I'm ultimately thinking that I would need at least one other router.
    So for example,
Router A (E3200) is connected to the modem and setup for DHCP using a LAN IP range 192.168.1.1/24.
Router B is connected to Router A and setup for DHCP using a LAN IP range 192.168.2.1/24.
In this way devices connected to Router A should not have access to devices connected to Router B and visa-versa, correct?  For example, Device X connected to Router A cannot ping or browse files on Device Y connected to Router B and visa-versa, correct?
Would I need to setup anything else on Router B?  For example, do I need to setup DNS settings so that devices connected to Router B can connect to the internet without issue?  Would I need to specify that these virtual LANs are not bridged, and on which router, or both?
I already know how to set up a static IP, DHCP, LAN IP ranges, and static DNS settings on a router, etc.
In regards to wireless devices, I am thinking they would follow the same pattern; so wireless devices connected to Router A (E3200) have access to other wired and wireless devices connected to Router A but not to wired or wireless devices connected to Router B and visa-versa.  However, if wireless devices currently don't have access to wired devices also connected to Router A, then that is fine for now.
    Thank you very much!

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The E3200 has no VLAN support according to the manual. There's no way to configure two separate networks with this router alone.
You will need to add network electronics.
    Ex:
    Managed Switch with VLAN
    Another wireless router with VLAN
If your modem supplies multiple public or private IP addresses then you could put a switch after the modem and two wireless routers attached to the switch.
Please remember to Kudo those that help you.

  • How to set up a wireless network without Internet

I don't have Internet at home but have a wireless router and an iPhone that wants to communicate with the MacBook pro so that they can exchange info (like my todo list and files and whatnot). Is there a way to set up the router or mbp so that the devices can communicate without the Internet?
Probably a stupid question, but I have my hopes.

You don't need the internet to have a network. Just setup the network like you normally would, as the local network will still be available even though there's no connection to the internet.

  • How to set "Identity" of the MDM Payload from iPhone Configuration Utility?

Does anybody know how to set the "Identity" of the Mobile Device Management (MDM) payload of a Configuration Profile from iPhone Configuration Utility (iPCU)? The description says that this is the "Cryptographic credential used for authentication" and I should "Add credentials in the Credentials payload". Any help is appreciated.

The Identity field in the MDM payload section of a configuration profile can only be set AFTER you have set the correct credential in the Credentials section. If you have set the correct credential in the Credentials section, then you will (in my experience) only have one choice for Identity in the MDM payload section. It will be the correct choice fortunately.
To set the correct credential in the Credentials section of the configuration profile, you must have a valid personal certificate in the Windows certificate store. If you have a valid personal certificate in the Windows certificate store it will show up in the (very long) list of certificates you can choose from when you click on  Configure in the Credentials section.
You should be prompted for the password for 'exporting your identity'. Fill in both boxes and then click on OK. The set the password again. Yes, the password must be entered three times.
At this point you can go back to the MDM payload section and everything should be OK.
Note that my comments only apply to Windows. My system is Windows 7. However, only version of Windows probably works the same.

    hi,
    you can do it.
after declaring the catlog table you will give as
    wa_catlog-seltext_l = 'material'.
    wa_catlog-datatype = 'char'.
    wa_catlog-outputlen = 18.
    wa_catlog-fieldname = 'matnr'.
    append wa_catlog to i_catlog.
    clear wa_catlog.
    wa_catlog-seltext_l = 'plantl'.
    wa_catlog-datatype = 'char'.
    wa_catlog-outputlen = 4.
    wa_catlog-fieldname = 'werks'.
    append wa_catlog to i_catlog.
    clear wa_catlog.
similarly what sequence you give here i.e. material  ,  plant  etc. you get the output in the same oder you can even give only the fields you want in the output.
    rewards points if useful.

  • How to set up an exchange group inbox on iphone

I have access to a group (or delegated) inbox through my schools exchange server, but with email on my iphone I can not access it. Any help on how to set that up?

    Hello Alicia,
You will have to check with your schools IT pages, or contact them directly.
They will tell you how to set up your Mail account, (if you have to use the Microsoft Exchange or Other in Add Account...)
They can also tell you if you there are any other security steps that might have to be taken as well to allow you access.

  • How to set up a guest LAN? (small business, simple environment)

First before getting into my actual post, please allow me to briefly express my sincere aggravation at this Cisco website for it's lack of proper IE 11 support.  When I try to create a forum post, well, there is no way to do it.  The old Create a Discussion link is gone (actually when I log into my profile, the entire Actions pane is gone).  The Ask a Question thing you first see is terrible, it doesn't support IE 11 apparently because the message body field is just gone.  I can put a Title, and tags, but there is no field.  there's also no compatibility mode button anywhere in the IE 11 interface one this site.  I was lucky in that the Actions pane shows up when you click on another person's post.  I don't think Cisco realizes how absolutely annoying that kind of thing is.
I have a single 192.168.0.0/24 LAN with a single Cisco SG300 series switch to aggregate all the network connections, a single gateway firewall/router to the Internet, and a few wireless access points on the same LAN.  These are the AP541N's.  My goal is to set up guest Wi-Fi, but have it that guests cannot see or access the internal network.
Haven't not actually done this before, I have no idea where to proceed.  I know I can create guest virtual AP's in the AP541N but that doesn't do anything to prevent a guest device from having full access to all of 192.168.0.0/24 computers.
What can I do?  Do I have to put in completely new hardware?  Should I be contacting the Cisco Small Business tech support group if the specifics are unique to the SG300 and AP541N models?
Any help is appreciated, both general advice but ideally a full solution reply can be possible :)

  • How to set up standalone wireless print server

I need step-by-step instructions on to set up a KonicaMinolta bizhub multifunction printer to print wirelessly from various Macs. In other words, it would not be hooked up to the internet or my wireless network. I understand this can be done with an AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme. I tried it with a Linksys WPSM54G wireless print server without success. I'd like to try the AirPort Express, but so far haven't been able to get it to work.
How do I configure my AExp to operate as a print server? How should I have it connected when I do the configuration?
How do I find the print server's IP address?
When I plug in the AExp and connect it to the printer via USB, the AExp flashes amber and never turns green (and therefore never connects with the MacBook).
If I successfully set up the print server as a separate network, can I be connected to the printer and my wireless network at the same time? Or do I need to switch back and forth?
If I'm accessing the internet via Ethernet, can I simultaneously access the printer via AirPort?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

How do I configure my AExp to operate as a print server?
The AirPort Express Base Station (AX) or AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) can only operate as a "print" server if the printer is attached to its USB port. Ethernet printers would require their own print server service if connected by Ethernet to either router.
How should I have it connected when I do the configuration?
Neither router would need a WAN port connection as both can provide a stand-alone wireless network. For a USB printer, it would need to be connected to the respective router's USB port.
How do I find the print server's IP address?
This would be the AirPort's LAN IP address. The default is: 10.0.1.1
When I plug in the AExp and connect it to the printer via USB, the AExp flashes amber and never turns green (and therefore never connects with the MacBook).
The flashing amber indicates that the AX has configuration issue. If you temporarily connect your MacBook directly to the AX's Ethernet port, and then, run the AirPort Utility, you can find out what the issue(s) is(are).
If I successfully set up the print server as a separate network, can I be connected to the printer and my wireless network at the same time? Or do I need to switch back and forth?
No, you would have to switch wireless networks. One way around this, is to have the AX configured to "Join a wireless network." This mode was specifically designed to allow the AX to perform as a wireless client and simultaneously provide both print sharing and iTunes streaming to network clients.
If I'm accessing the internet via Ethernet, can I simultaneously access the printer via AirPort?
Potentially, but your computer and the printer will be on separate broadcast domains/subnets.

  • How to set up for wireless through time capsule

I have at&t u-verse but I disabled the wireless in u-verse modem and now have forgotten the steps to take to set up my time capsule but to wireless.  I had my time capsule used as wireless router before we moved to a different state but it has been a few months not that I was using the at&t wireless router and I didn't like it and my time capsule would not back up so that's when I realized I must disable my wireless in the At&t modem and use the time caspule wirelss.  Please help.  Thank you

Power on the Time Capsule for a few minutes, then hold in the reset button firmly with a ball point pen or something similar for 10 seconds and release. Allow a full minute for the Time Capsule to restart to a slow, blinking amber light.
Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN <--> Ethernet ports on the back of the Uverse router to the WAN "O" port on the Time Capsule
On your Mac, open up Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Other WiFi Devices tab
    Click on the Time Capsule
The setup utility will open up automatically and take a minute to analyze the connections then suggest a setup on a screen that looks like this:
Type in a simple name that you want to use for the Wireless Network Name
Type in a name that you want to use for the Time Capsule device
    Type in a password
    Verify the password
    Click Next
The utility will set everything up for you in a minute or two. When you see the message of Setup Complete on the screen, click Done
You can now log onto the wireless network that you created by selecting the name and entering the password
Post back on your progress and we will next get backups going again
