I'm trying to connect to my home wifi with my imac gh5. After I enter the password it says connection timeout or password incorrect. I know there's no issue with the connection but I don't know what else to do. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
What is the make & model of your home Wi-Fi router that you are attempting to connect your G5 iMac to? Which exact model of iMac do you have?
What wireless security type is your router using: WEP, WPA, or WPA2? If you temporarily disable wireless security, can the iMac connect to it now? -
HT5569 After ios 7.0.6 update iPad won't connect to my home wifi.
I have just updated my iPad (retina display, one before the air) to iOS 7.0.6 and now it won't connect to my home wifi. I have never had a problem before. I pressed forget network and tried reconnecting. It asks for password but will not connect. Any help would be great.
Alas, this has not resolved the issue for me.
Oddly, my iPad mini (1st gen) CAN connect to the WPA2-Enterprise network at work and it connects at Starbucks (open wifi).
It fails (asks for password then "cannot join network") on my wpa2-personal-secured home network and on McDonald's open wifi network (nearest other place I could test. Honest.).
I've done the network settings reset, the machine hard reboot, forget networks, reset my router and time capsule repeatedly (obviously, can't reset McDonald's), to no avail.

If I am using my iPhone whist not connected to my home wifi, will it cost me to connect to the internet?
That depends on the Cellular Plan / package you have for the phone. Some Plans include a certain ammount of data transfer in the cost of the phone package. If you have one of those then you have the specified ammount of data transfer to use the internet. If you go over you get charged extra.
If your plan is a Phone only plan with no Data package, then yes Internet will cost extra to whatever you already pay for the phone service.
Your best bet is to talk to your cellular carrier to make sure what type of Cellular package you have. -
Just got a second hand iPhone 4s and tried to connect to iTunes on laptop running windows 8.1 does not detect iPhone, iPad or iPod. Can any help please? iPhone is version 7.1 and running latest itunes

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

OK. Please someone has to have figured this out by now? I can't do anything with this very expensive paperweight. It won't let me access my wifi, and since i have AT&T, I might as well not have any phone service at all. HELP!!!

If you have been through ALL of the troubleshooting steps and you're still having problems, then you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for investigation. -
Bought a new iphone 6 with Verizon plan 2/11/15. Tried to connect with my home wifi 3 or 4 times with I thought the correct password but now it says Forget This Network and wont let me try again. Can't its the only network available. How do I clear this and start over. Thanks, this laptop connects fine but this is my first smartphone and I don't see why it gives a crap if I mess up 50 times! Help!

to your home wifi. May I ask are you able to connect to other wifi networks? If
so then please forget your home network again, turn wifi off, reboot, and
retest. If this doesn't work then you will want to reset network settings.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind that
this will delete ALL wifi passwords that you have saved.

When my daughter tries to connect to our home wifi, she has to be in the basement within 5 feet of our modem. Once she comes upstairs she loses the connection. All of our other devices connect to the wifi on all levels of our house, including her Dad who also got an iphone 4 and her ipod works as well as her brother's ipod and my blackberry. I have tried resetting the network settings to no avail. I have already had our modem rebooted through our internet provider so I know the signal is good (as well as all other devices connect to wifi) I am losing sleep over this and she is quite frustrated so any help would be appreciated. I'm starting to wonder if it's a defect in her phone???
Is her iPhone in a case by any chance? If so, remove the case and try again. How does her iPhone work in free Wi-Fi locations?
Try resetting the iPhone...
Press and hold the Home and On/Off buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple logo, then release. This may take up to 10 seconds. This is the equivalent of a re-boot and you will not lose any data.
If none of the above work take it to an Apple store or AASP for evaluation. She will not be charged folr this and they will suggest a solution if there is a fault. -

I have a jetpack, and when I try to "connect" to my ipad or phone, it keeps telling me I am not using the correct password. I have tried everything. I even changed the password, nothing is working. Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information. Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection. Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect. -
I bought a new Ipad and backup all my info form ym old one to my itunes. I set it up but now for soem reason by icloud on my new ipad is set up an old apple ID account I have never used. After answering security questions I was able to reset my password but when i try to use it on my new ipad to delete hte icloud it keeps telling me its wrong.
Any way I can go around it or is there another process I need to do before the ipad starts recognizing hte new password I set for the old apple Id account?It sounds like the new iPad, had a previous owner. If you don't recognize the email for the Apple ID on your iPad, then it was registered to another person.
If it was, you can't use it and should return it.
