If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Actually, I want her to have a separate iTunes account. Our marriage is fine, but our musical tastes are vastly different That's another issue; right now want to focus on getting my wife in .icloud email address.

I do realize that the nano will resume where I left off in my audiobook if I reload the file that was last playing.
What I was hoping is that the 6g nano would work like my previous iPods and default to the last file played the next time played after Iused sleep mode instead of going to some random song on the iPod.
Since I usually have a lot of audiobooks on my iPod--and most of those have 10-15 files in them, it's a pain to have to navigate to the correct file (and try to remember which of the 10-15 files I was last playing). On all my other iPods I could simply hit play and it would start up in the audiobook right where it left off.
Note--this only happens if I use the sleep timer to turn off the iPod. If I pause the book myself, when I turn the iPod back on it'll "remember" what file it was playing.

The password will not be sent to you, because Apple does not know it. They will send a link where you can reset the password. Providing she regularly synced her iPod, her purchases should be in her iTunes library. If this is the case, then you can simply reset her iPod and put all of her data back on it although I don't know if this works with apps. If she synced it before she reset the pass word then you can stop the auto sync, restore, and put the back up on it. If all else falls, iTunes and the App store remember purchases so you can't buy the same thing twice, well at least I haven't. hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

Place the iPod in Recovery Mode and restore via iTunes.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If not successful, try DFU mode.
