HT5621 Does changing your Apple ID still work if the ID is part of Family Sharing?
My Apple ID is part of a Family in iOS on my iPhone and iPad. I would like to change the Apple ID as I have a new email address and will discontinue the old one. I am concerned that this may cause issues for my Family members. The article HT5621 explains how to change my Apple ID, but it was written before Family Accounts were introduced as an iOS feature. Has anyone tried this?
You need to use the old ID and password to delete the iCloud account. After you delete the old account, you can sign in with the new ID in iCloud.

Why does my original Apple ID not work with the support community?
I've been signing in with the same Apple ID for at least four years. My username on these forums is JayhawkCWE. When I tried to sign on this morning, it told me I had to make a new account. I want to use numbers on my iPad mini for a team I coach. I have a spreadsheet on my mac I want to import onto the iPad mini for players to enter in wellness ratings. On this spreadsheet (on the mac) I have a conditioning formatting rule that when a player enters in their numbers the cells fill with black so others can't see their entries (to maintain privacy). Will this function import across onto iPad numbers? From the discussion I saw on this site it only partly answers my question stating "it cannot be edited" does this mean the conditional formatting rule cannot be changed and therefore will still work or the whole spreadsheet can't be edited and you can only view the spreadsheet and make no new entries to it?
Yes, I have posted this thread to different forums after I realized that Lenovo "customer care" is not likely to help me out and even wirelessforums.org members couldn't come up with any ideas for days, that's why. I have already written that helper applications like SMAC (or etherchange or macshift) don't work, because they do the same thing in the system as I change it in the driver panel, so they use the same method which simply does not work.
Locked? Definitely not. If yes, why can I change the MAC of my adapter under Ubuntu Linux using b43 open-source driver if it's really locked? Or you mean it's locked from software, because Lenovo or Broadcom didn't want their users to change their MACs or they just forgot to release a fully-functional driver? Well, then I would like to have a driver in which it's not locked, because this is a basic feature of my adapter of which the hardware is capable.

I am trying to change my Apple ID under icloud on my phone, but it will not let me do it, I have already tried to delete the account, but I cannot do that becuase it wants me to put in a password that I do not have. What can I d0? I am also going next week to pick up my new phone so I need to fix it soon.

You will need to logout of the account on all clients after changing the password, then login with the new one.

I would like to change my regular email service provider and instead use only my new gmail address. My apple id is the same as my regular soon to be replaced email address. I understand that in the past you could not change your apple id but you could change the email address associated with the apple id. However now it seems that you can change your apple id and by this I dont mean getting a new one, I simply mean editing the old one and infact Apple encourages people to make sure that their Apple id and email address are the same. So, my questions is considering the fact that I own multiple Apple devices (iPhone, iMac and iPad), what will the implications be of doing this and what do I need to consider before I change my Apple id to my new Gmail address? I know for example that apps are apparently permanently associated with a single Apple id so I guess I will have to redownload and pay for them. But what do I need to do on my iPhone, iMac and iPad to make sure that iMessage, iCloud etc is unaffected and continue to work properly. I guess for a start I need to tell everyone who communicates with me via iMessage that they have to use a new Apple id for example. I am worried that a change like this will cause mayhem among my devices and I'll regret it. Right now I have kept my old Apple id and simply added an alternate email address to my account that being my new Gmail address. Maybe its simpler to keep it this way. It still says its my old email and password and i cant back up my phone. I've downloaded icloud on to my computer and i still cant back up my phone. I have had one email address as my Apple ID for App store, itunes and icloud for all my devices (MacBook pro, iMac, iPhone4 and iPad2). Recently I changed nettwork/internett operators and now I have big problems with my icloud. My old email address and password has been shut down, and I had to create a new adress and password. I successfully change my Apple ID and password for itunes and App store, but I can't change my Apple ID for icloud. I am told that if I want to close down my icloud account on my MacBook Pro data will be lost. (I have stored my documents on icloud too) I keep getting a popup on my screen saying there is a problem with my Apple ID (the old email address) and that I should fill in my password. If I fill in the password for this icloud ID (also my old Apple ID for App store and itunes, I keep getting the message that it is invalid. You can't change your ID if it's a me/mac address, otherwise;
Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple, Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID) -

Yes, I logged in and out of the Ap Store and it is correct on that end. I have signed in on my PC too and connected cell. I am out of tactics to resolve! Please help!If your phone is signed into an old ID and you are trying to change it to an updated version of the old ID, do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). When finished goThen go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device). -
I changed my apple ID on my Macbook but I am unable to sync calendar from my iphone 4s. When I go to settings in the phone, my old ID is there, but it is greyed out and I can't change it. I was able to change the app store ID, but the one in iCloud settings seems stuck. Any suggestions??

My free apps purchased using my cousin's apple id won't open anymore on my iphone but apps donwloaded using my own apple id still works. Why is it like that and how can I make apps purchased using my cousin's apple id work on my iphone? Help!

RESPONSES:
1) When I set up my iMac, I did not transfer any data directly from my windows PC. I simply used the same iTunes login and account. I have access to all of the files via the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store. If I click "Download Previous Purchases" text, I can download ALL of the purchases I have ever made.
2) I have the Apple TV 2, so good news, question answered. I thought maybe it was the Apple TV 1, but it is the Black model, so bam. Good response for you. Well the whole damned reply is an awesome response, just pointing out that one piece of awesome. I stated that it was an Apple TV 2, and yet you were still good enough to figure I could be mistaken, and provide me with knowleedge just incase.
QUESTIONS:
3) So can my iMac not stream the data directly from itunes, without download? Apple TV can, but perhaps that is something among many things that maker it unique, and awesome.
