You are correct. This is a very bad hardware error of the WiFi Chip on the Logic Board. The Chip malfunctioned or was previously damaged, but the initialization error was not detected until you Update/Restore the iPhone recently. The Problem was there, just not detected yet. The repair or replacement of the WiFi Chip is very difficult. Because Apple does not repair iPhone 4S, they only replace iPhone 4S, it costs $199.

Have you tried - in Mail go to the menu Mail > Preferences.
When the Preferences Pane opens, click on the Accounts Tab.
Click on your iCloud Account to select it.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Set Authentication to Apple Token.
Close the Preference Pane.

We are fellow users, we won't know why. You've checked the spam folder as well as the inbox on your email account, and if you have a rescue email address on your account then you've checked that email account as well ? If you still can't find it then try requesting the reset email again
If re-requesting it doesn't get it either then try contacting Support in your country, they should be able to reset it for you.

If you use Mail.app, hover your cursor over any of the links in the emails you're receiving to see if they lead directly to an Apple-owned subdomain, like so...
If the links in the email(s) you received are exactly like this, then it's possible there's an issue with your account that you should probably follow up on. If they don't look like exactly like this, then these are phishes, and you can post screenshots of those links here so that someone from Apple can follow up on them. (Best not to click on these!)

I had to google a ton of info and when i finaly found it i was happy apprently the fill out form works but not the e-mail recover system. It made me very frustrated that everytime i get a skype update or something i get locked out and cannot reset my password.

I would advise to use a different email address all together to reset your password for ePrintcenter. If that doesn't work you can visit www.eprintcenter.com for additional support.

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
Any change on reboot?

The other user on my iBook got locked out of his account, accidentally typing the wrong password. When I go into Users, even as an admin, I cannot reset the password. The button is shaded out as is the short name, the only field avaiable is the User name.

IMac running 10.5.8, me email won't accept my password. One day it worked normally, next day it won't and I did not change password. Now I cannot reset the password, almost as if it was changed by someone else. I am the only user of this iMac.

My email won't accept my password, was working fine, then one day it wasn't. It is almost as if someone else changed the password and now I cannot use my password or change it to a new one. My iMac is running 10.5.8 , using Earthlink and Safari. Any ideas on this problem?

Hello, I have a very old username, an old e-mail, that I don't ahve anymore. When I tried to reset it it also did not take my birthday to verify the old account. I am not sure why. But I need to reset this old username and get a new password. Any ideas how to do that, since I can't find an option to have the new password creation link sent to a current email or a new email.

You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it.
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

So I changed my apple id - my phone would never chane it for my icloud account and now when I am trying to even sign in to the icloud account (under the old id), I can't because apparently I don't know the password and when I try to reset the password, I am informed by Mr. iOS that my birthday is wrong. When I try to reset by email, I never get an email. Really kill me. And I can't change my "find my iphone" to off, so I can restore all the expense data I lost when I updated to iOS7. I am soooo happy!

HT1911 Cannot reset iTunes password

I cannot reset my iTunes password. If I select "email authentication" then no email arrives. If I select "answer security questions" then it tells me that I have my own Birthday wrong. I have spent days on this and can't figure out where to get support and ther Apple guy I managed to get on the phone was worse than useless.
I somehow ended up with two iTunes accounts (one with a short user name and one with an email address) so I can log in on some of my devices but not others - hence I am able to post this under my email account.
Argh - I am so frustrated by Apple security.
Can anyone please help?
