HT5621 Want to change apple ID and password on 2nd Ipad to the one on my 1st Ipad.

I have read the directions for how to set up an IPad but there is a problem. I have 2 Ipads, one for work, and I set them up differently with different Apple IDs and passwords. Now I find out you can't buy extras for Apps you've already bought if you're using different IDs. YOu have to buy the App again for the 2nd Ipad.
How do I change the ID and password on my 2nd IPad to the one I use on my first IPad? I know how to change one or the other, but don't know how to change both at the same time.

Log out of iTunes on your second iPad and log in with the Apple id you use on the first iPad. The only minor issue will be that any purchases you made with the second Apple id will be locked to that id, and you will have to use that password to update apps.

I had this problem too. Log out on everything you can be logged on with your apple id. After that log in with your new email and password. Hope it helps!

Then I send it to the suppler where purchased this phone they told me there is no way to fix this unless I give them the Id and password .know I don’t know where I can go because in my Location nobody know how to fix this problem.
At less I don’t know what I can do to fix this problem because I use this phone for my work and All my data and phone number in side this phone
Notes :- I have all the document ( invoice and box for this phone )which say that I phone for me .
I hope to get any answer from your good site other whys this phone will be useless for me

If you can't remember your apple id or password then sadly that phone has been bricked, without that infomation te activation lock cannot be removed by apple or anyone else.

Just use the same one on all devices.

You cannot get around Activation Lock without the oringinal owner disassociating the iPad from their account.

Just to clarify, iOS is the operating system for iOS based devices such as the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad.
Your Mac runs on OS X.

Question: Is there a way to consolidate Apple IDs and passwords on my desktop, laptop, ipod, ipad and iphone? I waste too much time trying to remember something different for each device or operation.

This knowledge base article is the AppleID Faq...I recently changed my AppleID password, not the ID iteself, and the passward was synced across all devices.
You cannot consolidate AppleIDs so you have to just establish one that will be used for all activities. And keep in mind, app purchases are tied to the AppleID used for the purchase so updates have to be made using that ID.

Changing apple username and password on your iPad

Some water got into my iPad 1. I put it away in a drawer and bought the iPad 2. About eight months later I came across the first iPad, so I plugged it in. Sure enough it started working again. It had all my info on it and I want to give it to my grandkids. How would I take my apple username and password off of it?

I would say your best bet for this would be for you to do a update and restore in iTunes on a computer to make sure none of your info is on the device. If you do not feel comfortable with that then you can sign out of the iTunes store and App store by going into Settings > (iTunes and App) Store > View Account > Sign Out

Why doesn't the iTunes Apple ID and password work for iCloud on the iPhone 3GS?

I even logged into this Apple Support Community using my Apple ID and password with no problem. It also works in iTunes. But it still doesn't work for iCloud on my iPhone 3GS. Same problem. I enter my password correctly, and I can't get in. but I can get into Apple Support and other login pages with the same (correct) password. Arg!

I cannot sign onto my iclould account. ID is not correct. Changed apple ID and password, icloud is still showing old ID when attempting to enter on iphone.

I cannot purchase items in the APP store as well. Indicated password is incorrect. Changed in itunes and and can access information there with ID and passwork, cannot purchase or get app's to recognize current password on any device.
Icloud will not recognize password as well, cannot get to icloud on phone to do anything.

I've changed my apple id and changed password; but when I try to "update" my apps..it reverts back to my old apple id.

You need to indicate which problem it is you are having. As Jay-Ray said, if the issue is with updating Apps, then you need the password to the old ID, or you will have to re-purchase the app under the new ID.
If, however, your issue is that your iCloud account is still showing the old ID, then you will need to do the following in order to delete it:
1.     Sign onto Manage your Apple ID and change the Apple ID back to the old email address. This is temporary. Do NOT verify it. Do NOT change the password: Apple - My Apple ID
2.     Go to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom and select Delete Account. When it asks for the password, type in your current Apple ID password. Follow the prompts to delete the account
3.     Go back to Manage your Apple ID, sign on with the old email address/current password, and change your Apple ID back to the current one. You may need to verify it again
4.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign on with the new ID

It doesn't belong to you. Turn it over to the police. You can't bypass the activation lock. It's doing exactly what it's designed to do, which is to prevent scum like you from using a lost or stolen phone.
