HT5622 Can 2 apple ids use the same iCloud

My wife and I both have our separate iPhones with different ids can we both share iCloud's off the same router

One Apple ID can be shared for store purchases. On the iPhone go to Settings>Store and put in the ID. Then all the songs purchased with that ID can be downloaded from the iTunes store on the phone.
I hope that is what you were asking?

can i have 2 Apple IDs using the same playlist from the same pc?

Easiest way is to create separate computer logins with all your own info including your own iTunes library.
I recommend each individual not have more than one AppleID because you will have purchases on multiple accounts
You can use more than one AppleID in an iTunes library.
    AppleID/iTunes =used for purchases.
iTunes library = iTunes and all media on your computer.

Can someone indicate the way to proceed?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You can't use family sharing or multiple Apple IDs with iTunes match.
ITunes match is only attached to Apple id that you used to subscribe.

  • HT4436 Can I have two apple IDs with the same iCloud?

Is it possible to sync data from multiple apple IDs to the same cloud account?

So, how do we as a family have more than one device ( 3 iphones, 1 ipad, 1 imac) and each person be able to sync their own contacts, etc..?  My son just backed his up and it confused my iphone - ie, my husband's name now is under 'Dad' and I have all his college friends...  I am so confused.....

  • TS3988 Can 2 people use the same icloud?

Need help badly, such a mess! My son is under my Itunes acct-I have an Iphone 4s, he has an Iphone 4. Somehow his phone is on the ICloud with our Apple ID (which is my gmail address) & pw. He also has an @me.com-set up by me trying to seperate our phones (mistake now I know!) Our ICloud Backup Storage is a mess-we use 1 laptop for Itunes and now ICloud--his phone updated & all my contacts went to his phone-he erased my people off his phone b/4 checking with my phone-now ALL my contacts are lost, only his remain on both our phones! Even worse now I cannot text him--I "think" his phone is seeing my phone as his now, if that makes any sense at all! HELP!

Thank you so much for your answer! Yes, this is my 1st time to the community too, again thank you! Okay, here's the sequence that 'may' help explain; 1st- My son got an Iphone 4 & wanted to buy songs, etc., so I added his phone to my Itunes acct..--he consequently signs on under my email address (my Apple ID) & my PW. No problem then, it had/has listed ex. Mom's Iphone & Son's Iphone (mine is a 4s, don't think that makes a difference- except in telling u that Siri doesn't work properly now either & refers to my son's name now instead of mine!) As far as I can tell, the real problems began with the ICloud settings on our Iphones--meaning the settings on 'where' to back our phone's- ICloud or to the Laptop (both phones back up to the same laptop.) It's so complicated I can hardly explain it, so sorry if I'm bouncing around! I did not mean to or rather it was not an intentional decision to use the same ICloud, however since we share the same comp. and Itunes account, and basically passwords--it somehow happened. I don't know how to undo this mess! Last night I went to ICloud.com & was able to sign on with my son's @me.com user ID & our Itunes PW (aka-Apple ID.) It really didn't do anything except show me Iphone features, ex. Contacts, Ibook, etc.. I did 'not' see a place where I could change any settings, like to possibly change his Apple ID, or pw...that's all I can think of to change? And even with that I'm not sure how to do that...he's 14, a minor--so he has to be under my settings to a degree. Don't mind at all having seperate ID's, but we do share "some" music and app's for example. Is any of this making sense or even partially explaining my problems? Thank you in advance!

  • HT202213 can two apple ids use the same itunes account?

I'm pretty new to apple products and have an itunes question. My husband and I just bought iPhones and have separate apple id's. We will also using an iPod. Is it possible to use itunes with both id's? Is there any way to share the files between both of us?

If you want to share a single AppleID with a single iTunes Library, then simply sync both devices to that iTunes library using the same user account.
If you want to sync two AppleIDs to one iTunes library, in iTunes on the computer, login and authorize each AppleID, then sync the devices to that common iTunes library in the same user account.
You do not do anything on the device being sync'd itself - it all has to do with how iTunes that you are syncing to is set up and what AppleIDs are authorized there.  You can sync multiple devices to iTunes, just be sure that each device gets a unique device name in the iTunes sidebar.
To then use unique AppleIDs for iCloud and iMessage on a iOS device, first, make an iCloud account with the AppleID you want to use (go to http://www.iCloud.com), then set up that iCloud account on the device with that ID and password.  In iMessage, just log out with whatever AppleID you are using now, log in with the new AppleID and it will reauthorize, now linking that device with the new iMessage account just created with that AppleID (your iMessage primary account ID is always the AppleID used to initially create and verify the iMessage account).

  • HT4436 My daughters have their own iTunes accounts; can we all use the same iCloud?

Myself and my husband have iPhones, my two daughters have iPods.  We all have separate iTunes accounts (although we all synch onto the same PC).  How will this work with the iCloud?

To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
So the answer to your question, is essentially not necessarily. However generally speaking, it is considered a good idea to have separate iCloud accounts.

  • Can apple ids of the same user be combined?

My husband has created two apple ids. He created the second when he got a new phone and was activating it. Is it possible to combine these two accounts into one??

Has he made purchases with the second AppleID?  If not, then do not do so, and just use the previous one so all your purchases stay with that one AppleID.
He may actually find the second AppleID useful, if you want to create a second iCloud or iMessage account that is not the same as the ones tied to the previous AppleID.
If not, just stop using it and keep using the old one.

Can I authorize mulitple apple ids on the same device so that what is purchased on either account will be loaded in both devices without having to use the same ID?
My wife has a laptop and an iphone 4s, I have a laptop and and iphone 4s, our two sons have our old iphone 3s, we have an old laptop for our sons to use.  Our old iphones for our sons are deactivated as phones - so they are used as i-touches for songs, pictures and aps.  I want to use icloud (which I'm new to) to hopefully have all four iphones and all three computers stay synced with at least music - if not aps and pictures.  My wife has an apple ID and I have one.  I'd like to authorize all three laptops for both apple IDs so that we will still have our own accounts, but everything either of us buys will be automatically loaded into all three laptops and all four iphones.  Can this be done?
    Thanks,
    sstultzcostello

Each person in your home can have their own Apple ID provided it is tied the their own separate email address.
iTunes permits up to five authorized computers connected to a single Apple ID: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
For this all to work well, however, each user in your household should have a separate user account on the computer they commonly use.

  • If Iq backup my iPhone using my icloud can someone else using the same Apple ID as me back up their iPhone to icloud?

If Iq backup my iPhone using my icloud can someone else using the same Apple ID as me back up their iPhone to icloud?

If they sign into your iCloud account with your ID, their iCloud backup would then be in your account.   However, they would also be sharing your iCloud account and any data they sync with the account (contacts, calendars, etc.) will be merged with yours and the merged list will appear on both phones.  They would also be able to access your email account and their photo stream photos would be merged with yours (as you would be sharing the same photo stream).  Furthermore, if they are using iOS 7 and turn on Find My iPhone while signed into your account, their phone will require your iCloud ID and password in order to be turn off Find My iPhone, sign out of iCloud or erase and reactivate their phone.
Unless you wish to share all this data, and have the other person's data merged with yours you should do this.  (iCloud accounts are really designed to be used by a single person.)

  • Can I use the same icloud username and password for multiple phones?

I have 6 iphones and wanted to use Apple Configurator to install the same apps on all 6 phones.  Some of the apps though, also require further installation by email.  Can I use the same iCloud username and password for all 6 phones to download the apps and also to configure email or do I need to create 6 different Apple IDs?

If different people will be using these phones, you might be better off using the same Apple ID for the iTunes content...apps, music, etc. on each of these devices, but create different ID's for iCloud on each device. You can use one ID for the iTunes/App store, & a different ID for iCloud. That way, messages, notes, contacts, calendars, etc will be kept separate on each device.

  • HT204053 Can multiple people use the same Apple ID for their own devices?

Can multiple people use the same Apple ID for their own devices? I just set up my IPhone 4S (first time user) using the same Apple ID as my daughters and now we receive each others texts, do I need to set up my own Apple ID account?

Yes, you can.  In fact it's recommended that you use different IDs for iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud.  You can still share the same ID for iTunes without any issues.
You are getting each other's text messages because you're using the same ID for iMessage.  To fix this, one of you should go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign in with a different ID.  To avoid getting each other's FaceTime calls, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
